Question: I'm coming down with a cold, will Ivermectin help?
posted 1 year ago by TNBanjoMan 1 year ago by TNBanjoMan +67 / -0

Woke up this morning with a sore throat and feeling a bit achy. A cold has been going around among my friends and I may have picked it up. I have Ivermectin and I'm wondering if starting it now will help?

I do it twice a day immediately when I begin to feel symptoms and they do not progress, they linger a little bit, but do not worsen. It's wonderful

Confirmed. Pass them out to the family on empty stomachs for best effect, but start as soon as there's any indicator of symptoms.

Yes. Since 2020 any time anyone in my family is starting to get sick I dose them 2x a day with horse paste, no one has been sick longer than 3 days in almost 5yrs (two kids in school). They both have friends that are constantly sick. Works

Speaking of, I just got a recent order and it looks like Durvet switched up the delivery method. The tubes I got had a white creamy paste as opposed to the clear yellow-ish gel in the past. Anyone getting this version too? It has a very distinctive taste change as well.

▲ 1 ▼
– HenryBowman1984 1 point 1 year ago +1 / -0

First order I ordered was white, second is yellowish clear.

The taste is an acquired thing. First try of both was not like cake but not horrible. Squeeze the amount on a finger and wash down with water. Don’t smush onto your finger and it goes down easy.

Both had an open top tube so no waste.

The gel is disgusting to taste. I like the paste much better.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼

Yep, white paste way more palatable than the yellow gel IMO. Unfortunately, I almost always get the gel.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– CrimsonSentinal 2 points 1 year ago +2 / -0

Are there two different versions to purchase from Durvet? Because I’ve only ever gotten the gel and I can’t stand the taste of the paste. Plus the syringe with the paste has a lot of left over in the needle point of the device vs the gel you get ever bit out at the end.

Maybe Chewy sent me the wrong one even tho the paste boxes are identical to the gel versions.

Echinacae, Vitamin C, D and zinc what I take right away. If you are able to find it, you can take Oscillococcinum 200C.

That's the most effective.

I think you are confusing ivermectin with hydroxychloroquine. HCQ drives zinc into the cells.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 7 ▼
– poetpede 7 points 1 year ago +7 / -0

Quercetin, Ivermectin AND Hydroxychloroquine are ALL zinc ionophres! They get the zinc (the bullet) into the cells. https://www.functionalmedicinecharlotte.com/2021/10/19/quercetin-is-a-zinc-ionophore-like-ivermectin-and-hydroxychloroquine-vs-covid/

▲ 4 ▼
– HonestBobbin 4 points 1 year ago +4 / -0

Quinine seems to do this as well. There was an anon that claimed to be involved with pharma somehow (researcher I believe) and they said that Quinine is what HCQ was derived from.

I take it with Zinc every time I have a cold starting to set in & it knocks it out quickly.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– Litecola2 3 points 1 year ago +3 / -0

HCQ=hydroxy chloro quinine. Their mechanism is the same. CQ and HCQ were developed to be easier on the stomach than straight quinine.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– HonestBobbin 2 points 1 year ago +2 / -0

I need to see if my Doctor will write me a prescription for HQC, or CQ. The Quinine isn't terrible for my stomach, but it does upset it a bit. My wife cannot handle the Quinine & Zinc mix.

We make natural HQ... Boil or crockpot all rhines of whole pineapple, grapefruit (2), lemon(4) fresh ginger. Boil for 1.5-2 hrs or crockpot for 4-6 we add local honey as it cools. 4oz 3 times a day follow with a lot of water. We store in fridge in water bottles. Use as maintenance also. Haven't been sick in 4 years now. And when our neighbors start to get the crud they come knocking for a bottle!

Try Vitamin D, zinc, Vitamin C, quercitin. It won’t hurt to take ivermectin, if you have it. All the above will most likely shorten a cold, but I am not a doctor, just what I would try along with rest, and warm fluids. For upper respiratory involvement, oregano oil capsules or home made.

This morning I did a double dose of C, zinc, Quercetin, and D. I haven't gotten into my IVM stash yet, waiting to see if this passes first or gets worse. Thanks.

Thanks. I don't have children or grandchildren and often refer to younguns as "petri dishes." The wifely unit suggested I start off by gargling warm salt water and upping my C and zinc doses for the next day or so, rather than start on Ivermenctin. She's good about such stuff so I'll follow that today and tomorrow, but if I don't start getting better, I will dip into my IVM stash.

Thanks. I call my wife "Nurse Ratchet" after the character in "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest." She nursed me through cancer a few years back and she was very strict about meds and such. This was WAY before the world knew about IVM, so she's sort of a walking encyclopedia of medical knowledge.

Married 37 years and we laugh a lot, hold deep philosophical discussions, and couldn't do without each other. I came across a saying the other day that describes us perfectly. "God never puts two people together to help just one of them."

We take our 1000mg C a couple of times throughout the day, 4000 IU vitamin D, multi and B Complex plus B12(methylcobalamin, not cyanocobalamin).Every other night we take the ivermectin until everyone else is well. Fresh air and sunshine (nature's most powerful disinfectant) is the best medicine. Drugs/supplements, even relatively safe ones like Ivermectin, should always be a last resort.

Here's a page with a lot of info on IVM. https://covid19criticalcare.com/ivermectin/ There's also a table with a dosage calculator. Don't be afraid to go heavy. If you are a big, hairy, ape, man weighing 200#, 36mg is a good start. You'll want to be based at home and close to a toilet. It'll flush you in a good way.

Sage advice - don't trust a fart. Don't ask me how I know. I'm good for that a couple of times a year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Qv25_DFR2k

You bet. I take a medium dose once a month, on the full moon. I’ve read the parasites are more active on the full moon so they’re easier to kill then. The first time you take it, it’ll clean you out. The months following, I barely get a fart, which tells me I’m cleaned out. I feel great and attribute it to taking the IVM. Good luck.

This has worked for me many times: Take a large onion (regular or sweet) and put it into a ramekin or safe bowl, cut mostly through so it looks like a flower, then add a couple of tablespoons of butter and/or olive oil, some salt and pepper to taste, and roast or microwave until it softens and collapses. Eat the whole thing, including all of the juice. The cold or allergy symptoms will be gone in 24 hours or less. It helps if you like onions, but it's delicious and effective. Good luck!

Ivermectin does a lot of wonderful things. I take it any time I think I’m exposed to someone who is sick and also as soon as I notice myself feeling a bit off.

On a hunch, I recently tried it on a planters wart. I figured that it’s good against parasites and viruses/bacteria are basically parasites as are warts. A little dab of the horse paste covered with a bandaid and it was almost completely gone in a couple of weeks.

YES. Personal experience and observed.

Good for me and 3 of 3 people I know with colds (3 days or less and gone)

D3 and Zinc help keep viral replication down. C, Quercitin help immune system finish them off.

When my wife and I have the scratchy throat and watery eyes; a dose of ivermectin (and Fenbendazole) and we are back to normal by the next morning.

Been getting colds for 59 years; but that all stopped with ivermectin and Fenbendazole. Last 4-5 years it’s rare to get anything. And when we do, it’s very minor. Then the Zenesky treatment as described

Ivermectin and Fenbendazole every month. That’s our first line of defense (and cheapest)

also:

Your body converts beta-carotene to vitamin A, which signals your body to produce more white blood cells to fight infection. Vitamin A also helps keep mucous membranes healthy, which trap and fight germs.

there's always room to improve you diet too. I eat a shitton of carrots (and othe rred/yellow/oragne veggies) and rarely get sick. no pharmaceuticals needed.

Fresh peppers in all the colors are full of vitamins too. We like crudites with curry dip for all kinds of occasions. Here's a quick recipe for Curry Dip:

1 c. Mayonnaise 1 1/2 Tbsp. Chili Sauce 1 1/2 tsp. each of Curry Powder, Garlic Powder, Grated Onion and Juice, and Worcestershire Sauce 1/8 tsp. each of Salt and Pepper

Serve with raw vegetables like peppers, carrots, celery, and cauliflower as well as apples and pears. Everyone seems to love it.

My elder brother and I ate an entire head of raw cauliflower one New Year's Eve with this dip. Enjoy!

You could try the oral / nasal viralcidal that Dr. McCullough suggests.

3 oz. saline water

1 teaspoon Betadine iodine

Nose squirt bulb

Mix and squirt into nose until it runs down the back of throat and spit out. Do a few times, then gargle as well. This is enough for a couple of treatments. Do it 4 times per day.

Yes for me. Any time I'm around a group of folks where someone is coughing or been recently vaxed, I take a dose. I read somewhere that it is good for respiratory problems, regardless of type, thought it was on the CDC site, but can't find the research now. Search engines are covering it up in favor of "don't take ivermectin for covid" BS. Also a lot of other unexpected benefits for treating various "illnesses".

Nah, i don't think that ivermectine will help against a common cold, unless it turns out that the common cold is caused by parasites.

In this case i think you'd better follow the advice of the people who say Vitamin C, Echinacea, and a few sips of alcohol
