Hello GA. My father passed away suddenly last night at home in his sleep. He had been dealing with head and neck pains for weeks, then a week-long migraine that wouldn't go away. He went to the emergency room twice and they never found anything with their testing. You and I know what is surely to blame.
He bounced back this weekend and started getting better then last night he called me for help with splitting pain in his head. I had a really bad feeling in my gut but he refused another ER visit. I took care of him, went home for a couple hours, went back to check on him, and he had passed. It seemed peaceful from what I could tell. No signs of pain or suffering.
Can you please keep KB in your prayers? He was not a deeply religious man but he was kind, had many friends, took care of others and his community, and is sorely missed by all.
Thank you very much GA.
EDIT: I'm deeply grateful for the outpouring of support to a fellow anon from GA. Thank you for your prayers and positive energy. It truly means a lot. The more I spoke with my mother, the more convinced it was a blood clot/aneurysm. He had strange symptoms the hospital didnt catch. I should have had them do a d dimer test on him and got him anti-clotting medication. His headaches didnt go away and my mom said he had other strange symptoms like ringing in ears and his hearing went weird.
I guess this should be a warning: if you know someone with persistent migraines, neck pain, strange audio symptoms, get a d dimer test and or anti clotting medicine or something.
Thank you again for all of your prayers. I hope my experience might help someone save a loved one.
Prayers for your father and comfort to you in your loss.
Deepest Condolences. Prayers for KB.
Prayers and sympathies to you, Fred. Your dad sounds like a solid type of guy. And your care was surely a comforting presence to him. Love to you.
The biggest problem you'll face now is that fact that you'll never get to talk with him again. When my dad died I so wanted to call him up and ask his opinion about certain things, and well, he wasn't there. Sadness, lonliness, are a couple emotions that will hit you, but just know that those feelings will lessen over the course of time. Enjoy your memories of him, the smiles, the witty sayings, the cantancorous moments. Those are what makes a father. We will press on with our own lives, so do not dispair in his passing, it's just a phase of life we must all endure, unless you are that one Social Security recipient that is 260 years old. God bless, fren.
Oh I am so sorry! Your father sounds like a real dad, the type so sorely missed in our citizenry. I know God will bless him keep him close and show him his new everlasting life with all those he has missed as well.
I pray for you to heal and allow those memories to comfort you, because Daddy's are forever! You know what real Love is. The greatest gift of all. Good speed !
Daddy's are forever. Even decades later, you know these spirits are still around, loving you.
A peaceful passing is such a blessing. God bless him and you.
Yes! To pass with dignity is all one can hope for. To sleep in Christ and wake up in paradise is my prayer for us all and especially now for KB. So sorry for your loss. May the Lord be with you and your family in your time of grief.
May he rest in peace. Condolences for you and your family.
I'm so sorry for you loss. To help console you and your family I recommend you watch this Johns Hopkins article called Healthcare After a Near Death Experience. It has 18 personal stories selected for the article and mine was one of them. I guarantee you will see your father again one day. https://nibjournal.org/voices/healthcareafternde/
God bless you and your family
Deepest condolences, anon. Fathers are very special people who are important parts of our lives. May his many kind words and actions live on in your heart.
Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of anon TheEternalTwoWeeks and their father who has just passed. Lord, we ask that You take this beloved father in Your loving arms and welcome him into Your kingdom for eternal rest. Lord, please comfort this anon and all their family and friends who know and love this kind man, give them strength to carry on and fill their hearts with warm memories of this beloved man to sustain them going forward. Lord, we thank You, as always, for the many wonderful people You have placed in our lives - some family, some friends - to share love with and enrich our lives in the most meaningful and important ways. In Jesus' loving name. Amen. πβοΈ
May God comfort you and give you peace. Your dad was a kind man. Great suffering brings many to call on Him in their hour of need. Perhaps your father did before he passed. πβ€οΈ

Praying over you and your family. Lord, bless this family with comfort, peace, joyful memories, and help them gather all the information needed so they can handle all the logistics and details that come with the passing of a family member.
I'm truly sorry for your loss, fren. I'm glad you're father reached out to you and that you came when asked. Degree of religiosity isn't important as long as he loved the Lord. And as a kind and caring man, he must have. God knows everyone's hearts. Prayers for KB and all his loved ones.
You are blessed to have had your father in your life. It sounds like he was a good role model for you and the community.
My heartfelt condolences to you. I will pray for him.
Very sorry for your loss. One of the hardest things for me after a loss was replaying every thing I did and said, wishing I had done better. Allow God to comfort you and trust that you did your best in each moment. The evil one will try to take away your peace of mind. Don't allow it. May your dad rest in peace.
Prayers for you and family.. Sending my condolences.. Please take care and you are being watched over..
