Trump's kid is at NYU. Rich people aren't going to send their kids to fucking trade schools. Stop being an idiot. You want a country where the elite goto college while the rest of us work in the Salt Mines?
you arnt trump, your kid would likely do better in a trade than trying to get a job from your connections
ultimately its not what you know its who you know, trumps kids get a pretty much free ride because of inheritance and name recognition, why wouldn't why waste 50k on a degree for a chance of networking
That's going to harm critical thinking/analysis skills. College is more than just inputting data into minds. But I agree about the trades, they're going to make a comeback in a big way.
Who is going to teach the elite physics, calculus, biology, chemistry, statistics, economics, etc then? You can't just have a dumb shit country full of farmers, plumbers, and welders. How do you think tanks and fighter jets and computers are engineered?
My cousin just rehabbed his first home, for himself. It was a serious fixer upper, but he knew he could do a lot of the work and save money, plus have instant equity. He did hire a plumber, and two electricians. He's a friendly guy and he got talking to the guys and found out they are making BANK. Not only did they charge a very high hourly rate, they each owned rental properties and do flips. One of them has a lake house. They are both self employed. It was quite the eye opener for my cousin, who recently graduated in a white collar field. One of the reasons he bought a cheap house was because he DOES have a pretty big school loan debt.
Tradesmen will always be necessary. Everybody needs a plumber, an HVAC guy or an electrician at least once in a while. If a person is inclined toward that type of career, they can do very, very well for themselves.
Alot of people overlook the trades.... Even anons....if there are "blue collar jobs" that NEED to be done but everyone else is working for someone else or in college, where does that leave the individuals that take chances and jump into it? I can tell you from experience, there's so much money out here waiting to be made if individuals simply figure it out. What needs to happen is that individuals need to gain some experience and then start their own businesses since no one else wants to do it.
This is literally another trick by the deep state.... To demonize career fields where you can literally own the businesses and make huge bank but then encourage you to work for someone else your entire life. As someone who went the college route, I can confidently say that unless you went to school for STEM (which generally gets treated like the trades anyway), you are wasting your time and money.
All three guys I mentioned were self employed. One man operations. They can set their hours, take days off, etc. and still do great. I actually had a long talk with my cousin about this because he was so surprised to find out how much they were making (and he believed it, especially based on what they charged him) it was very eye opening for him. Agreed, so many "intellectuals" look down on those guys, but the guys are doing so well I doubt they care.
Your point was valid back when Universities really taught real knowledge that you couldn't get elsewhere. It's maybe still valid today in select areas.
That's the way I see it also. My son just got accepted to a "big" engineering school but he's awake and can see the game being played with the " teachers".
Who says I have to work in a cubicle? I can work from home for a company based anywhere in the world and I'm not limited in my geographic areas where I can live thanks to Starlink. Getting your body fucked up from repeated use injury from manual labor is not necessarily a requirement of life. I actually prefer spending my physical energy at the gym training instead of getting my shoulders to fucked up and my knees too fucked up to do anything that I enjoy. Sorry buddy but I am completely uninterested in spending every waking second of my life grinding away to make Mr shecklestein lots of money.
Im not coming at you dude so, chill. What im saying is that your body will break down as you age. Thats just life. Its great that you work out. Look around though. Most people dont exercise. Lot of fat people. Sitting on ass in front of a computer is a sedentary lifestyle at home or in a cubicle.
I don't work in the trades but I see the appeal. It's not just destroying your body for jews or whatever nonsense you are trying to say.
One of my boys wrote and defended his senior thesis on this topic three years ago, then I graduated him from our homeschool, and he promptly went into a trade. He cited in his paper that the rate of replacement within the trades hit a low of two for every five who retire or leave.
Exactly. All those years of school, probably a pretty big debt, and they only start at 65K. How long will it take them to get to 100K? Even that's not really that much these days.
Me too, actually has several millions banked over the years grown his business and now $$$. Working as an HVAC technician for someone else can provide a living but the REAL money is when they do it on their own.
He helped me install two units in my house. Materials 3500! His labor 1500 which was super cheap for the 4 20 hour days we put in. Local quotes were 13k each unit!
The dude was a machine! 20 hour days and he wouldn’t take a lunch break and climbed into the 120 degree attic like it wasn’t a problem at all!
The 100 hour work week was typical for him. He also wouldn’t buy anything he didn’t absolutely need. He lived in a friggin mobile home and bought used vehicles.
People met him and thought he was a bum.
My neighbor owns his own HVAC company and makes 7 figures in a year. He is a nice guy, sometimes humble brags about the $15,000 AC job he did that day, but did tell us that he can charge higher prices because there are only so many good HVAC people around.
College is good for teaching you to be dependend on Big corporations. They are usually terrible in teaching you how capitalism really works on an individual basis. They can teach you to be a drone. Look at how much effort, time, and money goes into being converted into a drone.
They can't teach what they don't know. Most teachers have no idea how to make it on their own. They have on idea of how to handle risk vs reward.
There are many programs that will not subject anyone to these toxic ideologies. Look around, men, because you need to support your future families. If you have the brains, go get a profession!!
This needs to happen. My sons need to enter the workforce with zero debt and grow in a marketable skill while making more money than a women's study graduate right out the gate. Why go into debt to be brainwashed by an college that hates your race, gender, and beliefs.
Leave the overrated bachelor's degrees for the parents that think their daughters need it in order to provide for themselves. These young men will be able to better provide for their families with a marketable trade.
Skills are the way, don't believe me ask a plumber, Electrician or welder what they make. Oh, I forgot auto mechanics & many more.
Trump's kid is at NYU. Rich people aren't going to send their kids to fucking trade schools. Stop being an idiot. You want a country where the elite goto college while the rest of us work in the Salt Mines?

And people at that level 50K is to us what a weekend trip would be.
Yeah I noticed it when paying the bill but it's not going to bankrupt me.
A lot of white collar jobs are gonna get wiped out by AI anyways
Yup. Like professors.
That's going to harm critical thinking/analysis skills. College is more than just inputting data into minds. But I agree about the trades, they're going to make a comeback in a big way.
My son is studying philosophy at a 4yr college. He already got his welding degree from a trade school, but he is enthralled with philosophy
Most professors are the very definition of "artificial intelligence."
Who is going to teach the elite physics, calculus, biology, chemistry, statistics, economics, etc then? You can't just have a dumb shit country full of farmers, plumbers, and welders. How do you think tanks and fighter jets and computers are engineered?
Just keep AI from being Libtard an' we be ok.
Who’s gonna bang the hot girls with poor grades then? 😕

I did that a few times, leapfrogging after 3 or more years then there was no Income Tax on the profits... Not sure if thats true these days.
That was smart. I know my cuz will stay at least that long. I hope it's still true. It should be under Trump, but I don't know if biden changed it.

Thanks, maybe I'm not an idiot (Stop being an idiot.) after all.🤔😮🤣
Not everybody wants to have a fucked up back, wrists, and knees when they get older.
That's just life. Sitting on ass in a cubicle waiting for next teams meeting is not a healthier lifestyle

Pick a trade, live well, and love Jesus.
I know Hvac guys pulling 150k
Absolutely. Same for plumbers and electricians. I know of one who has a lake house.
The Law Firm Anchor tenant in my Building starts fresh out of Law School lawyers at around 65K...4 years of college and 3 of law school... Heh
Exactly. All those years of school, probably a pretty big debt, and they only start at 65K. How long will it take them to get to 100K? Even that's not really that much these days.
Also supply and demand, they are pumping out “professionals”, which suits the owners of the firms.
Almost like it’s done on purpose.

They employ every opportunity to shove their shit down everyones throats. It is basically if reddit were a physical location.
And you cannot say anything because you will get severely punished for it
I'd like to go to the College of man skills for a man world
All of us old trades guys are starting to retire so there is / will be lots of openings.
Fuck universities.
Braeden Sorbo...Kevin's son?
Yes, I believe so

Any truly capable person doesn't need to pay for 4 years of a Marxist harangue by a harridan

INDUSTRY AND MANUFACTURING ----- MKAY ----- HAVE BEEN OFFSHORED ---- MKAY
Doesn't take a heart-brain rocket surgeon to figure this one out.
