One of the best, if not THE best part of X is the ability to poke your finger in the eyes of the powerful. I'll never understand why people make posts on X like this and don't tag the target. Just adding "@crackerbarrel" would have made Rich's post much more powerful.
The CEO has a degree in communication. Who puts someone at the head of company with.such a degree? Someone that needs a person who can spin the decline to the media. "Look at how these racist rednecks are acting."
You can't do quality control on food and ingredients someone else throws together for you back in the "kitchen". People need to start being selective about their consumption.
This means :
shop for your groceries and cook your meals using good cookware and methods.
bond yourself out of Amazon Netflix Facebook and google jail by canceling your accounts.
stop buying and consuming products get comfortable with making things by hand.
I think the real reason people aren't going there is that when the new logo thing came out, that shed a lot of light on all the DEI and LGBTQ crap that had been going on for a long time. I know I missed all that at the time, but that's it - never going there again.

-when tearing down the old ones they realized how disgusting the knick knacks and decor were. Grime,dirt,grease, dead bugs, etc because most never cleaned the decor
-new seating is a massive upgrade. Much more comfortable
-waiting tables is easier and more effective.
The food is the same. The gift shops sell the same items. From a business point of view it is the right move.

I don't get this whole affair. The food at Crapper Barrel tastes awful. They didn't need a "refresh" or a "rebrand" at all. They had a core customer base who went there often, now they are pissed off at CB corporate. The new stores look even uglier than the old stores. And the food is still awful.
I'm tired of visiting these type of establishments anyway. Whenever I travel I look for local restaurants. I miss the days before all the chain restaurants popped up - true mom and pop diners with much better food! I don't give a crap about cracker barrel - it's just another mega corporation that has sucked the life out of American culture. Why would I give a crap if they removed their facade.
