I am surprised that Savage did not do a better job at vetting this story. The only thing I came up with doing a search beyond social media posts, was a site called Gazetteller. They had a very similar article written by "Admin." Nothing fishy there, right? As far as the original piece by Rocco Bianconi - total goose eggs.
Hmmm? Get the story out there circulating using a different name that no one seems to have ever heard of before. Publish a similar article, but don't put a real name on it. A good way not to take responsibility for the veracity of a piece. The circulation alone gives it the validity. Meanwhile, nobody knows where it came from. Sounds like a page right out of the lefty playbook.

I came up with only one website that had something similar - Gazetteller. The author was listed as Admin - which is kind of fishy. The stories on the site seemed to be written mostly by a guy named Ethan White, with a strong bias and at times a bit of colorful embellishment. Not as bad as Real Raw News. I am surprised that even Savage is spreading this around without more sauce. So, it appears to be a single piece supposedly written by a guy named Rocco Bianconi - but I have not been able to track down the original source.
We need to do a better job of vetting this stuff. There are all kinds of malicious individuals that would love nothing better than to make us all look stupid by spreading fabrications through the community - it wouldn't be the first time. We cannot allow our personal confirmation bias to influence whether we latch on to a particular story or not, much less spread it.

There was a similar post last week about Gen Alvin Holsey's resignation that greatly embellished the official story. The common denominator of these two stories? They both have links to Gazetteller. Starting to sound like another Real Raw News. Real Raw News ran with tunnels as well.
