Here's some info on Mayor Frey:
In 2012 he founded a 5K charity run, the Big Gay Race, raising funds to support marriage-equality efforts in Minnesota.
His parents were both “professional modern ballet dancers.”

Nobody really expected the Minneapolis City Police to cooperate with Federal Immigration Enforcement.
You don't expect the rats to cooperate in cleaning out their own rats nest. The Minneapolis police department has been corrupt for years. All their "cooperation" would do is to alert the Somali community to raids, and to hinder any immigration enforcement.
Federal immigration simply needs to do what they do. If the Minneapolis police interfere, then arrest them or have the DOJ come in and take over the police department, sidelining any supervisors. If police want to resign en mass... then fine. Replace them immediately with NON-Corrupted police hired for the purpose. :>)
I wouldn't rely on the Minneapolis police to do anything but obstruct, hide evidence and assist illegals in violating U.S. laws.
