The only states that enact such a radical plan are so blue that it won't matter. I can't see any swing states getting away with this.

Which is also why it's important to be kind and patient with moderate, thoughtful liberals. If they poke their heads in here and everyone takes a giant, smarmy shit on them, they will go right back where they came from.

Virtually all of those are symbolic uses that just circle around to the same idea that gold is valuable because we think gold is valuable.

The two that aren't, electronics and aerospace, require utterly trivial amounts of raw gold for processing compared to actual material processing demand for things like copper and steel.

FFS buying gold is literally the exact same thing as crypto. They are both essentially worthless, and have value only to the extent that people collectively have faith in their continued value.

Only thing is that Rogan is still under contract with Spotify. I don't know the terms, but they wouldn't just let him upload his entire catalog anywhere else.

Good. Covid aside, I picked up chiggers a couple of years ago doing yard work, and god damn was it intensely painful and itchy. It sucked having to go to a doctor to confirm what I already knew. I wasted an entire day of suffering. This is a harmless medicine that no one has ever overdosed on. There's no reason I shouldn't have been able to walk into a drug store and buy it and heal myself immediately when that happened.

If you were correct, then vaccination wouldn't be reducing the death rate among old people. It is. It just is. You're as hysterically wrong against the vaccines as the media is against the virus.

JackOfDiamonds 0 points ago +2 / -2

Yes, but with the exception of very old people. Chance of heart problems from the vax is about 1/1000. Chance of dying from Covid if you're over 70 is about 1/100, 1/50 if you're over 80. It was probably a net health benefit to some people.

Infants and toddlers scream and cry about shit. I understand the desire to compartmentalize it as having to do with one thing you could control, but they would always find something else. They don't understand any of the things we take for granted. Not even gravity or fire is hot or don't put your feet in your poop. They literally have to learn everything, and everything is an absolute dramatic crisis to them the meanwhile.

I wonder how this affects companies with HQ in one state who have remote employees. If I were to move to FL, could I be protected even if my employer wants to pull some shit?

Ok, I know some of you aren't going to like this, but your mother definitely has the math on her side here. Yes, it's true that the threat of the virus has been grossly exaggerated, but it's not zero, especially for a 60something woman with immune issues. Yes, it's true that the threat of the vaccines has been downplayed, but it's not grave and massive. Even if hundreds of thousands of people have had adverse reactions, that's out of hundreds of millions of doses in the US, so about 0.1%.

Your mother is right to want your father to get vaccinated.

People who will shit on the NFL for embracing BLM bullshit and going total clown mode over Covid are too addicted to watching cars drive in circles to punish NASCAR for diving head first into Bubba Smollet horseshit in a hopelessly pathetic attempt to make the sport more appealing to faggot Zoomers.

If there's a surge in total Covid cases, and WGS confirms that Delta is showing up in that area, then they assume that Delta is causing the surge. It's not like it really matters, in the end. I don't know why we're obsessing so much over which sub strain of this weird cold is making people cough and lose their taste for a couple of days.

1
JackOfDiamonds 1 point ago +2 / -1

Basically they are saying that they test a few individuals who volunteer for WGS in any given area. If the number of cases is increasing in a certain area, and WGS confirms Delta, then they assume (reasonably) that Delta is responsible for the increase in cases.

Still doesn't mean it's any more dangerous. We're still obsessively tracking a goddamn cold.

Seriously. Why doesn't this community have a downvote button? This needs to be buried.

It's funny how companies are refusing to supply lethal injection drugs, imagining that this is going to stop executions. All it will do is force states to switch to less humane methods. Potassium chloride is the most painless execution method ever devised.

Until someone can pull a microchip out of their blood and capture it with a microscope camera, everyone needs to STFU about "microchips in the vaccines." There is no reason to do this, neither does the technology exist. Why the hell would Bill Gates need to put chips in your blood to track you when you already carry a GPS that the government uses to track you all day in your pocket?

RIP, dude. Do NOT post tantalizing shit like this. Just keep quiet and then dump the evidence. This is a good way to "commit suicide."

I'm not sure how they expect reddit to prevent a guy from signing up with a new account and posting again after they banned him. If he reset his IP address and deleted cookies, they don't really have any other way of tracking him.
