The way the vaccine was created is to target a single protein in the virus. It doesn't kill the whole thing. Once that happens, the virus in the wild only has to replace that single protein and becomes a whole different animal (variants) that the vaccine does not protect against. Hence, the reason that vaxxed folks are getting COVID and transmitting the new virus. Those with natural immunity would be protected from variants.
It's the vaccines fault there are new variants.

The brainwashing is real and complete. I was on the Nextdoor app looking for a contractor recommendation and ran across a thread started by someone complaining that local hospitals are not requiring the jab for all employees. The cognitive dissonance was strong in the discussion. Fully 95% of the discussion was Karen's spouting MSM talking points like they were the end all/be all of resources. When the few disagreed, with authentic studies and resources, the sheep went mad.
I am very afraid for this country. Everyone living in their own little echo chambers and things are falling apart. I know, I know... there's a plan, but I don't know how much more waiting I or the country can take.

I was traveling for work the second week of Jan 2020. Five days after returning home, I came down with a raging fever of 103, which went on for for days. Lost taste and smell too. I called my doctor and he had me come in to test me for the flu - which came back negative. So I sat back and waited for the rest of the 'flu' symptoms to hit me but after a few days of sleeping off the fevers, I was fine. Seven days after my illness started, my mother, daughter and grandson all caught my 'flu'. We all recovered with no problems. Old and young alike.
Then they started talking about COVID.
A warm blow dryer on low blown into the ear can ease discomfort.
