You are correct! I believe this is another Trump "bluster". We have seen him use that tactic before. The BRICS nations can get what they need from within their group. I'm not sure where this is headed but I believe there's more to the story than just 1 of Trumps tweets.
Born & raised in south Louisiana. During the scamdemic I communicated to the Louisiana Attorney General's office (Jeff Landry at the time now our Governor). I asked Jeff Landry's staff if all the the covid measures (lock-downs, masks, gathering restrictions) were legal. The answer was "NO"! You might not be aware but during that time his office came out with a legal opinion which stated that all covid measures were likely illegal and unconstitutional! His office was in a battle with the measures adopted by John "Bel" Edwards. Now Jeff Landry is our Governor....so yes we here in Louisiana are fortunate. Not only that but I reside in St. Bernard Parish. I reached out to our sheriff's office at that time and asked the same questions. I was told (in an email) that the St. Bernard Parish sheriff's office wouldn't be enforcing any of the covid "mandates". Any complaints that they would receive would be referred to the LA Dept. of Health. I never wore a mask in St. Bernard Parish.....I was denied service however in a number of places. I'm thankful that NONE of us (myself, wife & 4 children) took the clot shots.....
Yes I did! I was a young Coast Guard Officer (Ensign) standing the mid-watch (midnight to 4 am) on the USCGC Glacier (now scrapped). We were off the coast of Antarctica. I saw a light that looked like an aircraft on our starboard side. It was a relatively clear night. The light was too bright & too low to be a star. It looked like it was checking us out. It kept it's position off our starboard side in relation to our speed. There should not have been any aircraft in that region.
I had the Boatswain Mate of the Watch make a special round of the ship to ensure that the source of the light wasn't our ship. Of course the Captain's Night Orders always gave us the option to call him if we there was anything out of the norm. So, reluctantly, I called the Captain to the Bridge. It was around 0200 hrs. You have to understand that we always hated to wake the Captain in the middle of the night. It had to be something important.
While waiting for the Captain I kept an eye on the light. As I was watching the light, whatever it was I was looking at, accelerated at a tremendous rate of speed and disappeared from view. Several minutes later the Captain arrived on the bridge. Now, of course, I'm a little embarrassed because I have nothing to show him. But luckily I was not the only person that observed this "unidentified flying object". While briefing the Captain I called over the lookout, helmsmen & Quarter Master of the Watch. They all nodded in agreement as I told the Captain what we had seen. He listened intently, nodded but never said a word. He quietly returned to his cabin. I had the Quarter Master of the Watch record the incident in the ships logbook.
I made 2 trips to Antarctica - the winter of 74' & 75'. Those trips were part of Operation Deepfreeze. On the second trip I received orders to a Loran Station in Asia so I got off the ship at McMurdo Station awaiting my flight to New Zealand. While there I met a Navy pilot who invited me to come along on a routine logistics flight to south pole station. So I got to experience that.
Yes Antarctica! One of my favorite subjects. I have been to that continent twice, back in the mid-70's on a Coast Guard Polar Icebreaker. The Nazi's had a huge presence on that continent before, during and probably even after the war (look into Operation Highjump). Independent travel to Antarctica is forbidden - what are they hiding.
