When I was 9, a Haitian dude held his wife hostage. They were next door neighbors. We had Metro-Dade SWAT all over our yard and roof for hours that day. By the time I turned 12 and started 7th grade, there were hundreds in our area and I was literally having to fight my way home every day after school. It got so bad, I quickly learned how to engage 4-5 attackers at once, and I hadn't even turned 13 yet.
