Avg 30 yr mortgage rate is 6.22% on 1/9/26. Mortgage rates are not below 6%.
I refinanced in September 2024 and my rate was 6.125%. I don’t think mortgage rates have been that low even 1 time in the past year.

Your stats are for city of Boston where only <700,000 people. Probably 3,000,000 people live in a 20 mile radius of the city. And presumably most children under 5 live outside of the downtown area. So probably should multiply your per facility number by a minimum of 5x.
Why are we building up hate for Somali Americans? If they’ve committed fraud, arrest and charge them. If not, let them live their lives and don’t demonize them. Adults buying popcorn for children on a movie outing shouldn’t be fear mongered.
This is not entirely accurate. There are whole neighborhoods in Chicago where it seems like every person and business only speaks polish. Many of these people are not new to the country and don’t speak more than a few words of English.
I get her anger, but she should also a little angry at herself. A 65 (?) year old woman who is working the swing shift a Walmart and then heading to another job messed up her own life.

I have no guess as to what would happen if POTUS abolished the Fed, but I would bet big money that he 100% will not abolish the Fed. So, to me, the thought experiment is moot.

This is a tax that only rich people pay. If you live in the house for 2 years and the gain is less than $500,000 you pay $0 in taxes. I bought my last house for $500k and sold it for $900k after 10 years. I paid $0 in taxes on that $400k gain.
I’m all for reducing everyone’s taxes, but this is not going to help many people.
