Western Arkansas is beautiful, and close to the Oklahoma Cherokee Nation, but man, they get some nasty weather there, from thunderstorms to ice storms, and it can be downright treacherous if you live in the rural areas.

Thanks. Good to know. I always find it best to compare at least three sources before I draw any permanent conclusions. I guess my old high school English teacher was right when she insisted that when we were writing our term papers :)

That's why I threw it out there. After examining this further, the info you requested is either not known or is being deliberately hidden. Some other recent information not related to this should provide an example: 1) Melania - someone posited that if you do the legwork, she descends from the Romanov Dynasty; 2) [This one I believe] Donald J. Trump's actual biological father was George S. Patton [do an image search and compare - the similarities are eerie]; 3) JFK Jr. [who now is no longer Jr.] is alive, attends Trump rallies with Carolyn, and will be Trump's VP pick.

Look, I have to give the Q Board credit for instilling a level of curiosity in me that I previously did not have. Now, I have seen some shit in life, some believable and some not, and I was ready for going down these rabbit holes. To the bigger point, I think if you examine the term "Great Awakening," that's exactly what it means. People are waking up to the truth, and it looks like many people aren't going to be able to handle it.

Just took the old Crown Vic out for a spin yesterday [we've been housebound due to a winter storm] and with 255,000 miles she still starts right up and purrs like a horny kitten. Ford didn't get them all wrong. Wish they never stopped making that model, and now they're becoming harder and harder to find.

I remember thalidomide. My mom took it for depression. By then, she had all her children, and we think [she's dead now, and took that secret to her grave] she started it after the last birth, but since I found out she lied about other shit, I don't know and don't really want to know. That was some wicked, dangerous shit, though.

I had completely forgotten about that post.

Reminds me of the greatest bit of dialogue in any cartoon: Daffy: "Shoot him now. Shoot him now!" Bugs: "You keep quiet. He doesn't have to shoot you now." Daffy: "Aha! That's it! Pronoun trouble. It's not 'he doesn't have to shoot you now, it's he doesn't have to shoot me now. Well I say he does have to shoot me now. SO SHOOT ME NOW!" 😂🤣

Indeed it was. Lived there until 2008, moved to Colorado, lived there until 2018 because it was becoming east California. Finally found a home in down-home Tennessee and haven't looked back. California can go piss up a rope.

Weird movie I'll admit, but at the end where they roll the credits, there is a great old song by Ray Noble and his orchestra called "Midnight, the Stars and You." I love that song, especially when it's played on a system where you can vary the sound fields to make it sound like it's in an old dance hall.

Regardless, Melania is the last woman on earth people should fuck with. She is a lot stronger and a lot smarter than people give her credit for. Just sayin'.

It is, indeed, a rabbit hole worth going down. Nearly everyone is familiar with his famous Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, but another one that will get your goat is his first organ concerto. My God, it is superb. I listen to it and am reminded of one of the things Bach said on his deathbed: "My God, forgive me, my only hope was to educate them [referring to mankind]." I would argue that he did, and then some. His music is more powerful now than it ever was when he was alive.

I have a confession to make: I have a tricked out 2011 Crown Victoria. Great stereo [3 amps, two subs, two 6x9's and two 6.5's] and here in east Tennessee, there are plenty of winding mountain roads. I put on Bach, in addition to the piece you mentioned. There's nothing like flooring it, driving on those roads, listening to Bach organ music. Man, I live for that shit. :)

Would tend to agree. I love Beethoven and have an extensive collection, but when it comes down to it, I would pick Bach because he was the first to tap into the notion that classical music is the voice of God.

You're welcome. I came across Sir Simon years ago, and can tell you, he is one of the best. The way he coaxes the instrument, exploring all its nuances, is superb. If you do develop a liking, by all means, enjoy!

Stuck at home because schools are closed due to weather. Can't do much about it as it is dangerous for buses to get through on back roads. Decided to use this time to go through my music inventory and clean things out. Presently listening to Johann Sebastian Bach organ works. Not sure if many of you are aware of this, but I have been listening to Bach since I was about 4, and can tell you unequivocally that Bach, with his favorite instrument, the grand pipe organ, developed a language as close to that of God as one mere mortal can get. If you are not familiar, I would recommend the entire Bach collection available as performed by Sir Simon Preston. My God, it is so uplifting I often think I have left my skin while listening to some of the pieces. Just thought I would throw this in here, granted it being a little unusual.

Trump knows what he is doing. If he says he knows who it is, then he knows who it is. We can speculate all we want, but there will be a good reason he chooses who he chooses. Whomever that may be, IMHO I think it will shock the world.
