40mpg? What percentage of gas vehicles on the road today get that? I bet it's less than 25%.

But using this absurdly high mpg, I'm still paying > 75% less per year. > 50% if you count the cost of the charger, which is only a 1 time fee. I think 75% savings is significant.

You time your next gas fillup from empty to full. Not the time when you start pumping, but the time you take pulling into the station, finding a free pump, getting your credit card pre-approved (hoping it actually works and you don't have to go inside, or even better, hoping that nobody installed a fake reader and steals your card info), pump your gas, shut everything down, and get out of the station back on the road. 5 minutes minimum, more likely 10.

With the miles we drive, I'd have to fillup at least 2x/week. Keep the math simple to get 100 fillups/year. 5 minutes each, that's 500 minutes. More likely 10 minutes or 1000 minutes/year total. If I go on a long trip and stop to charge my Tesla, I might stop for 20 minutes max per stop vs 5-10 minutes for a gas stop. I'll take a piss and get a bite to eat on that long trip and happily avoid wasting 500-1000 minutes/year at gas stations.

I was able to install my charger in less time than it would take to drive to my closest gas station, fillup, and drive back. And now I never have to do that again.

Kudos to you for standing up for what you believe, but what you believe is based on gas lighting from the DS against Elon, nothing more.

Charger cost $500. I did the installation myself. So even with that, it's still much cheaper than gas. Of course you neglected to respond about the conveniences and time savings.

Finally, a reasonable post on this topic. It amazes me all the hate for EVs on this site. I don't know about other brands, but Teslas are amazing vehicles to have as long as you can charge from home. We drove over 26,000 miles the past 12 months and paid $447. Compare that to any gas vehicle or even a hybrid.

It's a great feeling waking up every morning to a fully charged car. No wasted time going to gas stations. We get home, plug it in, and repeat the next day. So easy.

I couldn't care less about the environment, and have no delusions that most of the electricity we use is coming from coal. I just know it's saving us money, time, and hassle.

Go Trump and FJB, just so nobody thinks I'm a troll.

I bank at PNC. At one point in time there were 2 different branches within a 5 minute drive of my house. They shut 1 down during the plandemic. It was silly having both of those branches. Chase has 2 branches which are even closer together than PNC's were. I'm sure 1 of them will eventually close. I'm not too concerned about this announcement. They merged with another bank and there are probably multiple areas that have branches too close together to make good business sense.

I have an IT background, so what I do may not be for everyone. I've been a Windows user since it came out. I just lived with the spying. I've used Linux at work, but never thought of using it as my primary OS.

When all the censoring went into full gear after 2020 and we Trump supporters were forced to use alternative social media, I found a Telegram group focusing on using Linux for privacy: https://t.me/jptchat. I made a comprehensive list of all the applications I use and whether or not they either exist on Linux or there are Linux-based alternatives. IE, Libre Office instead of Microsoft Office. What I found was that out of all the applications I routinely use, only one, Quicken, doesn't have a Linux alternative. And most importantly, I found that a vast majority of stuff I do on my computer is done thru web browsers, which of course can run on any OS.

I recently built myself a new PC and am running the Unraid operating system. This is a Linux-based OS that supports both virtual machines (VMs) and Docker containers. I built a Windows VM and run Quicken in that. Everything else I've moved to either Docker containers or Linux VMs. It took me a while to get used to it, but I would never go back to using solely Windows now.

I do not play PC games, so that is not a factor for me. I chose Unraid because this computer will also serve as our household network attached storage (NAS) device to backup everybody's laptops, etc. They will continue using Windows for now, but hopefully I'll convince them to change in the future.

If you're like most people and just use computers for web browsing and email, Linux will serve you just fine. If you're a power user, then do what I did and catalog the applications you use and make sure Linux alternatives exist. I would not even consider an Apple, they're worse than Microsoft for spying IME.

Out of my entire family, my Father and I are the only purebloods left. The good news is that the rest of the family have stopped after the first 2 clot shots. IE, nobody has taken any boosters.

I gave them a decent redpilling over Christmas. My sister had been sick for most of December (big surprise). I brought some Ivermectin with me, and by the time we left 3 days later, she was 90% better. I told her if she had taken it when she first felt ill, she would have never got sick in the first place or at worst been over it in a few days.

I've managed to get a few of them on NAC with the hopes of clearing this shit out of their systems. I think this is the only thing we can do to try to save them.

For the few that are too far gone to save, I email them every time there's a famous "died suddenly" event and ask them to make sure their will is updated.

Merrill Lynch is similar to the Fidelity instructions. You have to go to the Statements and Documents page, then click on Shareholder Notices. Click on the Special Meeting link, and vote.

It never ceases to amaze me how gullible some people can be. I've known this was a scam since day 1. Almost everybody I've told looks at me like I'm absolutely crazy. Even now after Doctor Bill Gates admitted it was just like the flu, my friends still can't admit they've been duped.

When you delete DDG, if possible, be sure to fill out comments telling them exactly why. I truly hope they go out of business.

Thank you for this writeup. I've been trying to understand what is going on with GME. The big thing I can't figure out is why this hasn't happened yet? Isn't there some cutoff date where the HFs are forced to cover their shorts? Are the brokerages letting them keep kicking the can down the road with the hope that Reddit will eventually lose interest?

You say, "Shorts MUST cover". My question is, WHY? What is the event that happens that forces them to cover? And why hasn't that happened yet?

I'll keep doing my research, but I'm hoping somebody can answer these questions. Thank you.

How about, "isn't it great that PRESIDENT TRUMP was able to get the vax created in such a short period of time?"

But really, if somebody dared to ask me that, I'd simply tell them, "No, and I never will".
