Just spoke with family in Thailand, this is not happening, at least to the public knowledge of the people there, so I highly doubt it is somehow public knowledge to the people here. Anyone knowingly reporting false information as news, should be prosecuted. Fake news is unbelievably destructive.

The officials said they would take action, currently this situation is just talk, via 3rd hand account. Im hopeful this plays out and the Thai govt actually nullifies the contract, but no action has been reported yet.
