This is good information for someone like me who was raised in a semi-affluent suburban area. I rely on my spouse, who grew up more on the "wrong side of the tracks" in a city, to alert me to danger when we are in a city. Thankfully, he has - and I'm learning from it. But we live in a rural area and the things I notice and the tools I rely upon are a bit different than I need in an urban setting.

I remember a period of 3 or 4 years in the 90's when I carried a concealed handgun every day to my work on a university campus because of a menacing coworker. Despite the rules against it. I figured I'd rather be alive to fight the charges of illegally carrying a handgun on campus than dead from my coworker.

Don't do it. The only reason to institute ranked choice voting is so the minority can cheat and win. Alaska is now having to fight back against ranked choice voting that was heavily pushed by Sen. Lisa Murkowski's staff a few years back and slipped into the rules. It's just a trick to make sure the most popular candidate DOESN'T win.
This is absolutely true. My dad, who suffered from vascular dementia for 10 years before passing, had Alzheimer's on his death certificate. The two are VERY different, but I suspect Alzheimer's pulls more grant money.
My mom, who died in the hospital after administration of Remdesivir, had COVID-19 on her death certificate along with sepsis (which was true). In truth, she had developed pneumonia as an aftermath of a COVID infection (double vaxxed) and had a bladder infection. As you know, COVID brought the hospital a hefty sum of $$.
I'm convinced that $$ drives our health care system, and it's made me very wary of availing myself of the system unless I absolutely have to. I have a based family practice doctor, but even then I consider every recommendation and I don't always follow what he says.
Bottom line is we are in charge of our own health care.
