Take a road trip. Get out and bask in the sun, meet new people, have normal conversations, enjoy a delicious meal at a nice restaurant, walk in nature. Put away the phone, computer, books, newspapers, tv, movies, etc. Don't forget to laugh.
You can drink lemon balm tea or thyme tea. Meditation helps too (meditation isn't just sitting and getting to a state of higher conscientiousness) doing something that brings you peace, something that brings you joy is meditation as well. Walking in nature, working on your favorite hobby, these things are meditation too. Hope this helps.
I was one of the original latch key kids. My parents divorced when I was about 4. My mother was a business owner and worked long days and partied at night. Sometimes I wouldn't see her for a week or more at a stretch. I understand exactly what you mean. Remember that your kids won't always be little and there is plenty of time to go after your dreams when they are grown and gone. Wish you the best
