TL;DR I work at a large company with an employee cafeteria and thanks to maybe a handful of employees giving up coke products they're having a hard time selling Coke and Diet Coke and will be lowering their weekly orders of both going forward. ? Feels good man.
So, prior to a month ago I was a Diet Coke fiend. I would drink 2 or 3 on a normal day, 4 or 5 on a weekend or a holiday. I used to half-joke about being addicted because in all honesty I was.
I finally got so pissed off by Coca Cola's racism a month ago I forced myself to give it up. I no longer purchased a Diet Coke (or 2) with my lunch at work, I drank this thing called "water."
Today, all they have in the caf is Diet Coke and Coke ? they're sold out of everything else and they need to get rid of it. By my guess they've sold 30-35 fewer Diet Cokes in the past month just because of me alone. Add maybe 5 other people out of a company of several hundred, and you've got a problem on your hands- hundreds of extra cans you can't sell. They will be lowering their order from now on to prevent overstocking.
This is the first boycott I've ever participated in where I saw a concrete result I can trace back to myself, regardless of how tiny. This can be you too!
Congratulations, you have done a good thing both for your body and for those of us boycotting Coke.
You're just one of those "right wing nuts" that the Coke CEO mentioned. Good for you and your co-workers. Just make sure you're not drinking a bottled water sold by coke. See them here: https://www.coca-colacompany.com/brands
Aren’t they owned by Nestle?
I believe so. Why support a foreign water company anyway?
A foreign company that completely rips us off. I read years ago where Nestle, against the wishes of US citizenry, kept getting these "amazing" deals where they basically are gifted (by their criminal pals in office) US waters from the Great Lakes, which they then turn around and bottle and sell back to us.
Nestle is a luciferian outfit. One of the companies that’s used HEK293 in food products. Boycotted their garbage for years.
Its bottled here.by teamsters.
Really?!! My bad, wasn’t aware of that. TY ??
I still use water bottles but also have a nice water filter. Might be good to try and get exclusively on tap water + nice water filter, as much as possible. All these big companies can't really be trusted it seems.
You could always do what I've started doing: buy cheapo liters of club soda and squeeze a bit of lime into it. If I really want it to taste like Perrier I can add a dash of MSM (methyl sulfonyl methane, not "media").
Healthy grocery stores usually have some great refrigerated cold pressed juices. Great for energy.
Cold pressed is done with a hydraulic press with no heat involved so none of the nutrients or enzymes get killed by the heat.
THIS☝?
Ooh they're sneaky.
I had no idea about smart water. I usually buy other brands but once in a while I’d get smart water... no more.
Proud of you! I know what you mean, Coke can be very addictive. I don't like Diet anything.....but regular Coke used to be good! Now with all their, 'Whites need to be less racist' bs, I rarely drink it anymore. Happy you're making a difference! Coke needs to learn a valuable lesson.
I still hit the gas station, its hard to stay awake from 2 am-6 pulling trucks through soggy mud without stimulants.
fountains make it hard to recoup their monies.
I drink pure apple juice, diluted 50%. But not continually.
Really good if you cut that drink 50/50 with carbonated water/sparkling water. Have an apple juice spritzer, save half the calories and the sugar.
Amazingly, I've found Coke Zero to act as an energy drink for me. I get tired, I drink a bottle of that and it actually gives me energy.
ya, I will no longer drink woka~cola anymore, I will switch to coke zero as well. (kek)
I cant drink caffeine at certain times of the day, pass out while driving truck.
It's more evidence that people are each built differently as their own unique individuals. Different treatments working differently on different people. It's why the Left's one size fits all solutions never work. They mistakingly assume everyone has the same wants, needs, and desires.
notice the new commercial this evil co. was running during the b-ball playoffs ...portraying a evil witch drinking the high fructose crap and the guy behind the counter drinking it too and then coming from behind the counter with hoven cloved feet .../! demonic projection ...
Me too. I loved Diet Coke. Will not drink it anymore and I'm not white.
Nice! How do you eat an elephant ? One bite at a time.
LOL, love that elephant line
WINNING!
Coke was my junk soda of choice, but no more. If I crave carbonation, I just drink plain seltzer water now. If I really want a treat, kombucha!
Kombucha is a fantastic soda alternative. It has the carbonation and a bit of sweetness. I fill up a growler of that every week or two.
Try Jun, or Jun Soda! It's like kombucha but made with green tea and raw honey. It's more refined, less of a punch in the face that some kombuchas can be. I've read it called the "champagne" of kombucha drinks.
Me too! You have to watch the seltzers cause Kroger will put salt into theirs and I know no one is shopping there but Walmart puts artificial sweetener in theirs.
Leave an anonymous note somewhere the food manager can find it asking them to quit buying products from racist companies like Coke, that'll give him the proper understanding of what is happening. He may even look for other such companies to stop buying from.
Shake the cans and put them back in the case. Ppl will stop buying them
lmao ?
Under the “Did You Know?” Category:
• In the South we refer to any soft drink type beverages as Coke; so it goes like this: Q: Would you like a Coke? A: Yes, please. Q: What kind? A: I’ll have a 7-Up.
• Coke cleans off built-up battery acid, removes rust, cleans the toilet bowl, kills ants, and works for other non-drinking tasks.
Well done! That’s a case of profits they lose and you have better things to do with your money.
Diet Coke was my go-to. Not anymore. For just drinking instead of Diet Coke I drink unsweet tea. (proper Texan)
I use a grocery store diet cola for my mixer with Crown.
Thanks for sharing. It's encouraging. And hopefully now that you are off that nasty stuff and on the good stuff (water) you'll be feeling better, too.
The only Coke product I have had since their overt racisim was revealed was a 20 oz bottle of diet coke.....I had a coupon for a free one...lol
Theft by coupon lol ?
It's crazy but with a lot of drink products there is a small subset of the population that is hopelessly addicted to them.
My aunt, for instance, pounds down two Mountain Dews per meal, each day. Cousin pounds down a half case of Bud Light each night. End of the month there are multiple garbage cans full of that placed out for recycling.
If these people protest they can have a huge impact. But breaking an addiction is hard. Kudos to you for making a huge lifestyle change for a greater cause!
How were you able to get your five coworkers on board with the boycott? That's been my trouble here
I didn't, I'm guessing based on the bins of cokes they had sitting out. This was not a coordinated effort. One of their managers told me they were only selling Coke and Diet Coke today because sales were down and they need to get rid of it, so I extrapolated from there. I know how many of those Diet Cokes had my name on them at least.
This is great news.....more will follow!
Well done!
Love it! ?
Nicely done! I used to enjoy Coke Zero a bit but we never buy it, except when it comes with a meal.
This process actually happened last month with Coke Zero, where they weren't selling it and they pretended to only have Coke Zero one day to try to force people to buy it. They stopped stocking it completely after that!
I wonder if we had a Coke Zero guy and he jumped on the boycott bandwagon early.
Bought a Soda Stream on black Friday and stopped purchasing all commercial soft drinks. Now I'm drinking carbonated tap water with a few drops of flavoring.
So, depriving Coca Cola of revenue, consuming fewer chemicals and saving lots of money. Wins all around.
This is great coke is only sugar water that is not good for your health water is better you will feel the benefits of that
I love Ice cold Coca Cola. But I won't support a business that is trying to create division with stupid ideals.
They brought back RC can 12 packs to my loca grocery store this week! Only 1 pack was left when I bought mine. Very good Just goes flat faster than a coke.
We deplorables are the majority! Great job!
Way to go!!! I gave up Diet Coke in Sept 2013. It took about 6 months but then I saw huge changes in my health. The biggest one being that I wasn't as hot in the summer as I usually was. It's glorious.
Congratulations! I'm just happy not to be craving it anymore for now. Fingers crossed I'm cooler this summer though ?
I dreamed about it for about 2 years. I was glad when I stopped that. I love that you are being able to stand up for what you believe in at the same time you break your addiction. So good!!
Im a mountain dew addict. Ill go through 2 2 liters a day, sometimes 3. I sweat like crazy in the summer.its sooooo bad i wont even think about working till night.thank god i work for myself.
Im gonna have to give up the soda and coffee.but water is so gross to me. No flavor and fish live in it. Do you know what the fish do in water????? ??
Good job
I've done the same, I've switched to Diet Faygo from Coke Zero and I feel great knowing I'm doing my part to shove it back up coke's ass and support a hometown company in return
Ram it in there real good fren lol
That's awesome! Plus, water is better for your health.
All news is local. And so are the wars. Keep fighting the good fight!
You saved your liver and added years to your life.
I'm very proud of you anon! I too have kicked soft drinks, I am not a shill but I am now a fan of Ugly sparkling water. They have some cool flavors out there, they just made 3 "soda" flavors part of their full time line up, having some nicely flavoured carbonated water was just what I needed to kick corn syrup. There's also many other products with the same basic premise, find your favorite!
