Lol I bet China had the same idea in mind with hornets. “Hey let’s produce a hornet that can make other normal hornet larvae die so we don’t have to get stung by hornets” (or whatever.). Enter the Murder Hornet.
In our case... let’s produce this gmo mosquito to get rid of scary disease carrying regular mosquitos. Billions of birds and frogs etc die because they relied on mosquitos as a food source.

This was not a Bill Gates issue. This issue was burning in Miami to release these mosquitoes in Miami-Dade County while the mayor of Miami said no. Many studies were done at USF trying to find a use for the mosquito in case they harmed the life chain by doing this. They couldn't find a good reason to have mosquitoes but the fight continued for several more years not to do this. Miami got a new mayor and after years they finally agreed to do this. It was done within the state of Florida! Bill Gates would give recommendations for such things but he did not have anything to do with this our own elected officials did and it was talked about and studied for many years.
Crap story appears like this years later. Then you focus on Bill Gates and not the people who did this and getting rid of them from office. Not the first time I've had a problem with the Zero Hedge.
Fact check, Oxitech is funded by the Gates Foundation. The program has been pushed by Gates fronts in Africa and Brazil, perhaps more countries. This has been ongoing for years, but anons had not been focused as strongly on the funding sources of trouble.

Well, I was always told that the University of Florida released them to eat mosquitoes, but they became a worse problem. But I went to go look up an article to explain it, and the article says that's a myth, so apparently I've heard the wrong thing my whole life, whatever the case, they're annoying as hell, but here's the article.
