Put your energy and complaints else where and get involved, it’s the only way to change it. Most teachers want in person learning and the union doesn’t represent all of them. Also the CDC is saying close schools and the union, it’s only a recommendation and the CDC lost all creditability. Most schools are going strictly on mandates only. They’re also looking for your input and meeting with staff and parents about the return of school in the fall.

Zing..spicy and I agree. I have an advanced degree in the medical field and can recall 2-3 teachers that actually cared and stood out, I don’t even remember most of the other ones. If they are sooooo important and impactful you’d think they would be held in ones heart with the highest regard.
The state pension program here is bust last governor tried to address it and they basically ran him out of town because how dare you ever expect a teacher to give up anything. Respect level for teachers for me is around 2
We can same the same about people in the medical field blindly pushing an experimental vax...
Yep...don't worry convid was a sting operation for all of those assholes too!
Ours doesn't give a shit either - and it took for covid to come about before we fully realized what a horrible job they were doing. We pulled our son from the district when they refused to reopen last year and put him in Christian school, full of based conservatives. Best thing to ever happen to him - we're never going back.
I plan to fight everywhere I can this year.
CRT? Students will hear an opposing opinion from me. They did last year.
School boards et al will receive my legal warnings to stay out of my medical business.
Critical thinking will be taught.
Seems to me way more women are stepping up than men...these days. Keep it up!
mama bears... dont think the dads arnt concerned though, were at home shining our shotguns getting ready.
Maybe so. Fuck my pension, if the vaxx gets approved I'm dropping it all and leaving. Bluestone, hold certifications that are sought after.
Fuck it.
I’ll also be prepared to walk if it’s mandated
That's what I implied, I'm done in general.
Thank you. Fuck these lazy ass Marxist clowns. All the good teachers I know have been weeded out and laid off. FUCK the teachers union. Thank God I don't have kids.
They follow the federal school money and don’t give a shit about us.
I've never bashed teachers. My best friend is a teacher.
She is not exactly a libtard but she believes everything the media says.
She was not happy to learn that in the fall she will have to wear a mask again in the classroom.
She was especially unhappy when she was told she couldn't open her classroom windows and was not allowed to have a fan in the room. Because administrators believe that viruses could get in and then get blown around in the room by the fans.
I know it sounds stupid, but in their defense.. well there is no defense it is completely retarded.
The whole being vaxed and having to wear a mask is the ultimate red pill...lots of people who got the jab feel the same way about it and are advocating for choice of masking. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard about not allowing fresh air or the circulation of it. I would issue a complaint. Wouldn’t the mask protect them? 😂😂
You would think that.
But my sister and husband cant wait to wear there masks again, get a delta variant vax and they are already vaxxed. Even there kids are wearing masks outside. They are sheep that are ready to die I guess.
They want to get kids the vax too and I fucking lost it.
My nurse friends can't wear paper shoe coverings in the hospital because it "kicks up the virus. Not even kidding.
That’s just somebody in HR solving problems that don’t exist. (Heroes really.)
KEKiity KEK KEK !!!
Damn virus kickers! 😂
Bless your friend for sticking it out. Most good, more conservative teachers are leaving the profession.
That is part of the problem...
Its not clear if she's unhappy because she will be uncomfortable or if she's worried about her students' health.
She is definitely not a stupid person
The entire school district didn't lose a single student or a staff member to the Wuhan virus during the whole pandemic
So no, she isn't fearful for the student's health.
I got one better for you. Homeschool. Thats putting your money where your mouth is.
Yes! Fren YES!
Not all parents can home school and there’s a lot of single parent households
Out of all the teachers is had throughout school maybe five werent batshit leftists.
Sacrifices should be made for the children. Maybe give up game of thrones or something.
Everyone’s situation is different. How are you going to be a single parent and homeschool and work to support your family? It’s not an option for all families involved.
It takes a village. Drop your kid off at my house. I homeschool and got room for 2 more kids.
Life is not fair. Everyone is hanging on by a thread these days.
Multi generational households.
I have heard where they group together and pool resources. My church had a homeschool coop and it worked great for all situations.
That’s amazing!
How about you all stand up to your unions and TA's?
They are clearly leading you all around by the nose....
Not in one, I know people dropping them and I’ll never join one. They scare people into the union with the thought of being sued.
Good grief, around here they practically worship their unions.
Glad to hear at least some teachers are detaching from these rotten unions.
I know people who aren’t in them and I know people who only join them for certain reasons. I won’t be apart of something and I won’t fund or pay dues to the union that is used as a political arm for the dems. And that supports planned parenthood, Biden, Marxism, cheated elections, etc
I think it’s bigger than this...hen have we seen teachers standing up? They all am to go along with the mantra
Lots are scared to lose their job and they will. They have to be careful about how they do it and that’s why they need you on their side. Then they can represent you and your students.
We ALL have to be less scared to lose our jobs (any career). The world can’t run with out employees to run it. They need us and we need to recognize our power.
Stand tall, no matter what...otherwise you are the problem.
scared to lose their jobs? yea, well im scared to send my child to public schools cause they may or may not lethally inject them! are you serious? look, im all for backing the good teachers out there but they need to make a stand themselves or they will remain part of the problem.
They are making a stand for themselves and students. But you guys are so busy hating on all teachers you don’t recognize it and you’re categorizing all teachers in the same category,
do you blame us? seriously, how is it our job to sift through all the teachers in each district and find whos good or not? thats not our job, thats the superintendants or above. thats the problem. THEY have failed us, not the other way around. at this point wed be better off tearing it down and starting over.
then get fired, get unemployment and then start your own homeschooling class at home and charge per student. you know how much more you would make? you could easily make 6 figs with just a few students. id pay for homeschooling right now for sure.
Once a teacher is several years into the job, they don't have other marketable skills or another way to access group health insurance. They are scared. Maybe they shouldn't have gotten into that situation, but they are there now. There was a time when it was a respectable profession. I suspect few people are going into it now.
Oh I can tell you our board is getting the shit beat out of them by parents.
Good
This is happening all over the country. What fun.
Yes so it’s time for everyone to join in!
This^^ 1,000 xs
The problem is the gov funds it. Since common core they say you teach this and we will give you funding. You don’t teach this no funding
If addressing issues at the school board meetings don't work. Pull your kids out to hit them where it hurts, their source of revenue. Guarantee they will change their tune fast if done on a large enough scale.
Yep money talks
Fuck the public propaganda system and anyone that supports it.
Home school or schooling co-op. Teaching isn't a career it's an obligation from having children.
I have heard from teachers that the unions don't support them at all when they get in some sort of legal trouble, which is why they joined to begin with. And that the teachers are forced to do the Critical Race Theory thing. Many people are not aware of what is going on behind the scenes, and what pressure the teachers are under on so many fronts.
Public schools need to be dumped altogether and replaced with different forms of parent co-ops.
That’s why parents and taxpayers also need to get involved
Damn straight.
Nah. Fuck em.
With the internet, it's a worthless profession. I don't feel a bit sorry for them after the shit they have pulled.
Communist doctrine. No more, no less. Even the "good" ones know it, yet are complicit.
Homeschool your children and remember to teach real-world skills.
Zero fucks. I'll keep bashing! You don't like it ?
Tough shit
Go for it, but you get way more done when you stick to facts and leave your emotions out of it. Just keep complaining and doing nothing about it...
You should be asking how many teachers are actually teaching.
PLEASE....GET YOUR KIDS OUT OF THESE INSTITUTIONS OF INDOCTRINATION. TEACHERS GET OUT....THIS BS HAS TO EVEN OPTICALLY LOOK DIFFERENT...THE PRISON FLAIR AIN'T GETTIN IT !
Parents are surprised when they send their kids to Caesar for education and come home as romans. 🤦🏼♀️
It never was the governments job to educate our children. It’s still not.
Yes we need the teachers to also stand up and fight this with us as well. They may be with us but they aren't standing beside us. There's a difference. I'm just a Grandma, Thank God my kids are grown , but I am and have went to school meetings regarding masks and CRT in my district even thou my Grandson is not even in my town. I have written the school Board, my local politicians ! Teachers , parents, grandparents, aunts,Uncle's all need to get involved.
What we're seeing is that teachers will do whatever they are told of it protects themselves.
When police do this people scream bloody murder about it.
Well - some people here ARE in school board. But I like your attitude anyway. Because pressing those who still are lazy is good anyway.
I recently attended a meeting and the majority of staff were for choice of masking. I was able to voice my opinion to. I’m just tired of the attack on ALL educators because people think we’re all the same. The only way to fix it is to get involved with your school district. I just hear so much complaining, but in the mean time there’s district meetings no ones showing up to. Take the complaints and turn them into something productive to help students. Bitching on social media is counter productive and doesn’t do anything to solve the problem.
I know I know. Too many anons here are not doing their job... As personally I am not parent and as I am foreign volunteer kind of anon this part to do isn't about me,but I try to do my part mobilizing people who are redpilled but not active.
If you’re a taxpayer you can attend those meetings as well!
Then good info for others, but in my case: read my post again:
PS: Good bless you American friends...
Glad you are here fren. We need all the blessings we can get.
Teachers are a big part of the problem. Didn’t stand up when they knew their curriculums were going downhill- they had a heads up before even parents! We homeschool.
But this isn’t solely on parents. Teachers watched this fester beyond help now ask for help.
there are a lot of teachers that are really good. They care about the kids but they are not supported by the system. Looking forward to breaking up the public school monopoly. This way good teachers will be able to complete on a level playing field.
I don’t see public education breaking up. Some of these kids have no other options and love going to school. We have to keep it that way for those kids. Title one districts need the funding and best schools/teachers they can get. So people, students, parents, tax payers, teachers, etc. need to use their voice to stop these radical Marxism curriculums from taking place. If there’s no push back and no ones there to even question it, then it’s going to happen regardless. Might as well speak out now, while we have the opportunity.
I DO see public education breaking up. A few years ago I would not think it possible. Push for vouchers and home school co-ops. We are on the offense right now. Use it.
No I don't see public education breaking up. I do see a complete breakup of Public schools. It's time to hold public schools accountable. There is no reason in the world that we need to have Government schools. At the same time we need to insist that kids are educated. Otherwise you will have families that will not care if their kids go to school. Those kids will almost never have a real chance all having a good life.
School should not be a place for childcare so both parents can go to work. Our entire corrupt system will change. Along with that will be our corporate values. The Great Awakening will change everything. I am not so sure that the wacked out teachers and other staff in schools will be teaching anything. Their past nonsense will not be easily forgotten. Plus will they want to teach when they have to compete for the first time with real teachers?
The kids love going to school? Parents need to be parents. We aren’t here to make them happy. We are here to raise them right. It’s not happening in public schools.
I dunno about kids today but I fucking hated Child prison when I was a kid. HATED. It is NOT natural for a child to sit on their ass in a room all day. Kids and society in general should be learning life skills. Survival skills and other things. Instead we stick them all in a room all day like prison. School stifles creativity. It crushes the child's spirit and tries to crush their ability to think for themselves. I learned nothing in school. I knew how to read and write before school because of my parents. School is just a prison for kids and a baby sitter so parents can survive. It is not natural to have a bunch of strangers take care of your child. Strangers who really don't give a shit. I HOPE the public school system DIES. Schools are Marxist indoctrination camps. Most people become dumber after college too. Witnessed it myself. The sooner we tear down the evil fucking school system, the better.
Since I just finished my teaching degree, I can tell you the teaching programs are created to indoctrinate teachers to the left. They also use Professional development to indoctrinate towards the left further. The Corwin Deep Equity Training that is being taught across the country is CRT in disquise. It teaches that whites are inherently racist and that white teacher's biases is why minority children are failing. It divides the teachers, and if you do not buy into this theory, it makes a very toxic work environment. The teachers that area sticking it out are trained to look for racism, identify white privelage, and to use their classrooms as a platform for social change and activism.
I agree, you have to be involved in the schools. Go to the board meetings, vote the agenda driven board members out. If you have the resources, pull your kids out of the public school district, but stay involved because what is going on in the schools impacts everyone whether you have kids in school or not.
They are indoctrinating the children. That’s why they were so nervous in zoom classes to have parents listen to what they were saying. There has to be accountability.
Thumbs up for the first paragraph.
Schools in purple communities may have a chance, but letting your kid bond with a socialist bigot (the result of teacher indoctrination) is bad for the child.
My daughter always had great respect for teachers. Well, until they turned on her.
I agree and I recently finished my program and that’s exactly what it was. CRT was shoved at us. You are categorized as victims and oppressors. They’re other like minded teachers out there, find them in your district.
I decided not to teach. Instead, I am homeschooling,. I went back to school after 20 years in business management wanting to get out of the corporate world. At this point in my life, I just don't want to put up with it.
Will parents be able to trust the system not to indoctrinate their kids if we fight to get kids back in the classroom?
My "white" son --descended from fruit pickers and servants-- thinks he's guilty of oppression. We were drowning in privilege as I slept on a couch most of his childhood so he could be in a good school district.
Homeschool Co ops, Christian and private schools.
That’s terrible. I would take it to the school board and issue a complaint on behalf of your kid and others. Speak out and expose them and the harm that CRT does to kids, families and society as a whole.
As a teacher teacher unions dont represent the vast majority of people they should. They care more about being woke and fighting for social justice. Not all teachers are bad I promise but far too many sheep in the heard
I am a teacher. I am not a member of any union. I am not a Marxist. I do care about the children. And I am not the only one. I have been called a shill on this site a few times and briefly banned on here for . . . I'm not sure really - it wasn't explained.
If a teacher in a 45 minute long class has more influence on your child than you, then you are doing it wrong.
If you think the children are more important than your checkbook, then homeschool or better yet maybe you should become a teacher. . . Or just keep bitching and blaming others.
"keep bitching and blaming others" nah, were blaming YOU! we put our trust in the schools and you have failed us. now, its on us to clean up YOUR mess. im real fucking sick of listening to entitled little bitches run your mouth at the parents when its you assholes that are the problem! fuck you, sorry, not sorry.
This.
Whoops! It appears I must have stepped on someone's toes.
Only 3-5% of registered voters even vote in school board elections!! Then we have the audacity to question how things got this far? Step up whether or not you have kids or grand kids in the school system, if you pay taxes this is your fight.
Thank you!!! This is my point exactly. It’s almost step up or shut up!
we shouldnt have to! its your jobs, not ours. we pay your salaries! so what youre saying is that because the teachers union is corrupt, its up to us the parents to make sure you are doing your jobs correctly? how about this... we disband the teachers union and public schools all together? youre fired! hows that sound? we the tax payers shouldnt have to worry whether or not the teachers are commie scum, pedos, or plan to lethal inject our children behind our backs! this is your fight more so than ours, you need to be out there fighting for your job, not the other way around.
You’re missing the point, but ok...
am i? this has been going on for years and now all of a sudden its up to us to fight back? no, i think YOU are missing the point. you could have spoken out sooner, you could have raised a red flag about these issues sooner but instead collected your paychecks and did nothing. now, that the school systems are being exposed you want us to come fight your battle? at this point we have no choice but to fight this because you cowards did nothing for 50 years. this was all done behind the parents backs.
I’m new to this field sooo...seems like you guys should have started the fight years ago. Literally just graduated...entering the field now. Haven’t collected many paychecks at all so don’t categorize me as some old washed up hag. I can list all the reasons why public education has failed me and I choose to be a teacher to make a change in the system. Attacking and blaming all teachers isn’t helping this cause.
no, it isnt but your speaking to someone with an absolute disgust and 30 years of contempt for the public school system. im not attacking you personally, its more of a im pissed at the whole situation... and rightfully so. you are right though, at this point we the parents have to fix this whether it be banding together with "good" teachers or burning it all to the ground and starting over. one way or another though, there is a reckoning coming soon.
They want in-person learning because its easier for their indoctrination to go unmonitored.
Here in CA the teachers just do whatever they're told, even if it's awful like forcing masks on small children.
So they might agree with us, but their internal agreement is meaningless when they act as while Cabal enforcers.
If our side took any action at all, ever, we wouldn't be in a communist revolution.
But we are in one.
I agree not all teachers are the same. My sister is a teacher at a Christian school & is just as conservative as I am. I’m thankful that my daughter recently signed her little one up for kindergarten in a Christian school & that my daughter-in-law homeschools her littles. It’s true that we all need to step up & let school boards know we won’t let them push bs propaganda on the kids. Things will continue to get worse if we don’t take a stand.
Agreed! I just find it quite entertaining that I’m stereotyped to be a radical educator or a liberal, because I went into education. When myself and others are as conservative as they come and pushing back and voicing our opinions in the first place. All I see is eff teachers though, even the ones who are on your team.
Most of the medical and educational communities have fallen in line behind this crap. They will say they were just "following orders" and they would lose their licenses if they didn't. The problem with that is that this is a very large community and if ~30% stood up we would not be in half this mess.
THIS WORKS! GOT THE ENTIRE BOARD TO RESIGN LAST MONTH IN MY CITY! Scared the shit out of them. They're much more receptive now it seems but time will tell.
That’s awesome good for you!! I have pushed back on some colleges I went to and it worked for me as well. Every complaint I filed was addressed properly and often times administration didn’t know what was happening. I always stand up for myself and others in these types of situations.
Most teachers are based? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I happen to know a lot of teachers, a bunch of relatives and friends are teachers and there is only maybe one based person out of all of them.
Not to mention I have done lots of volunteer work at various schools and there is maybe 5% of all teaching staff that is based.
It's nowhere near the majority.
I don’t recall saying it was the majority
You most certainly implied it in your opening remarks. > Most teachers want in person learning and the union doesn’t represent all of them.
The teachers that I personally know all want in person learning. I didn’t go through and reread the whole thread I thought you were saying I said most teachers are conservative, which I know I didn’t say that. Lol
My brother said to me "it's not the teachers, it's the unions." I replied, "who are in the unions?"
That's said, I think you're right.
Yes the unions give teachers a horrible reputation.
This is true, my sis is one of the good teachers, and said she will get fired before she takes the vax.
She did say that last year was awesome for her though.... the school district made in-person classes an option for the students, and did not count absences (they didn't want to punish students that got sick or needed to quarantine). She said her classes were with students that actually wanted to be there, without constant interruptions from the unruly kids, she had 0 write-ups or office referrals. She said she is not looking forward to this year (if it is all in-person) because some kids that sat at home will be 2 years behind, while some will be up to speed and willing and ready to learn.
Have you been to Chicago?
Has anyone actually been to Chicago and survived?
