Seriously…I don’t get why people get offended. They can just reply “happy whatever- holiday- I - celebrate”. I’m not gonna get pissed if someone said “happy hannukah!” to me if they celebrate it. Good for them.
Of course... circumstance matters. If you are just saying it to passers by then fine. That's actually perfectly normal and expected. In fact, some people might surprise you when they say it back despite not celebrating it.
But if you're doing it to go out of your way and piss people off, then... fuck you. You completely miss the point of the season by doing that.
You are correct, some of my best nieghbours over the years have been Muslim.
The world that most of us live in does not match the narrative. As the narrative gets crazier, the more sheep wake up. The over reaction to the omnicron cold, is a real red pill for a lot of people.
There's a young girl at a local store who's been helping me find something out of stock. She called the other day to say it was there. I told her, "I hope you have a merry Christmas," and she loudly replied, "Happy holidays."
I suppose she was appalled that I said the C word.
LOL I'll be picking it up tomorrow. She's actually been very nice and helpful. Maybe the store makes her say that and she was mad. I don't know. It was kind of odd. This is the polar opposite of a liberal hellhole.
That's just one of the many virtue signals for the brainwashed youth. They're trained to be offended on behalf of people groups that they are taught should be offended.
I’ve had so many people say “Merry Christmas” this year and it’s been very noticeable. They all say it with a big smile as if they have been liberated and are loving it.
At Barnes and Noble the clerk told me "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays" I'm in a liberal run city (so liberal they once took down the American flag over City Hall and replaced it with the LGTB flag)so I was very pleasantly surprised.
Most liberals are misguided. When they see the woke filth for what it is they start to realize they actually want nothing to do with it aside from allowing people to choose how to live for themselves. They aren't interested in smashing down tradition. Most people just want to make sure everyone is treated fairly and that cultural exposure is more about awareness, not shoving other's beliefs upon anyone.
Same here in Northern Virginia. Every time I said Merry Christmas, people snapped back with the same, as if they were relieved to say it. Also I have not seen hide nor hair of any salvation army people. YES!!!!
I think a part of that may also be that T emboldened people. It shouldn't take 'courage' to wish someone a Merry Christmas, but some people, even conservatives, become hyper aware and hyper sensitive to offending someone. Watching Trump offend everyone under the sun (lol) over a 4 year period was amusing and enlightening and I hope, I think, maybe made people realize that offending someone over something that wasn't intended to offend and actually wasn't even offensive (objectively speaking) is more the other person's problem than the one wishing Merry Christmas. So wish away. And anyway, thanks for posting that bit of encouraging news and may you make a speedy transition to a place of a ruddier hue.
Same here. It makes me laugh because I had a liberal acquaintance who was freaking out during the 2016 election just because Trump said he wanted to bring back people saying it.
Or what? They’d fire you? What can they do to enforce it. What freaking controlling commies. These freaking unproductive busy bodies whose only job is to be a pain in the ass and get in the way of people actually doing work. Middle managers. They have to create problems to make sure they’re there to fix problems or else everyone would realize they’re not necessary.
Yeah, I might agree. My "congresswoman" is in the "squad" so I am probably in a similar zone but yeah. I walked around saying "Merry Christmas" to people & it was well received. You might have a point there!.
Very interesting.. I live in a liberal shithole as well (Minneapolis) and I've heard FAR more "Merry Christmas" greetings/farewells than I have in years.
And might I say, I had a wonderful Christmas with family this year. Zero talk of the Corona Virus but lots of hugs, lots of kids having the time of their life and a lot of laughs. My God it was nice to have a break from the hell we all endure on a daily basis.
Same. I was utterly shocked by how many leftists were happily saying Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays was a rarity. It happened a couple times, but that's it.
I think you're on to something. My wife's Asian boss told her not to say "Merry Christmas" to shop customers, because the boss had gotten the impression that it was somehow offensive.
That was a couple of years ago. She wasn't told that at her new job.
Same as I traveled through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and florida this past week. All Merry Christmases. None of that half hearted bullshit.
Corona changed the culture. A lot of people "regressed" into valuing old school successes like having family and food and a toilet.
I flat out refuse to say happy holidays.....I even said merry christmas to a moslem hahaha
Seriously…I don’t get why people get offended. They can just reply “happy whatever- holiday- I - celebrate”. I’m not gonna get pissed if someone said “happy hannukah!” to me if they celebrate it. Good for them.
Zigackly, and Hannukah does not coincide with Christmas either, so there cannot be any confusion.
I got a happy ramadon from the moslem before, so now I get to say merry christmas lol
Look out everyone, we got a baddass over here.

No areshole. It is christmas and I say "Merry Christmas" its my country. If it pisses off some nut jobs then all the better.
Pfff. I defy you to find a Muslim or Jew that is offended by a Merry Christmas wish.

If you want to be nice to them, just wish them a happy whatever-it-is when the time comes.

I think many say it both ways too.
One thing is that “happy holidays” encompasses New Years too, but on Christmas the only proper thing to say is Merry Christmas.
This
That's just one of the many virtue signals for the brainwashed youth. They're trained to be offended on behalf of people groups that they are taught should be offended.
Maybe "happy holidays" is a change up from your saying "merry Christmas." Otherwise she is just repeating your words.
Okay, but not everyone celebrates Christmas, though. And participation most definitely is not required.
Can confirm people are sick of whiney liberal cancel culture.
WE ARE THE NEWS NOW

Y'all tired of winning yet ! I'm not 😀 Doomers can't stand positive vibes y'all notice that !
It was Trump who made "Merry Christmas' great again.
Merry Christmas fren!
Same here in Northern Virginia. Every time I said Merry Christmas, people snapped back with the same, as if they were relieved to say it. Also I have not seen hide nor hair of any salvation army people. YES!!!!
I've noticed a huge change this year. Wonderful!

Just like saying “ bless you” when someone sneezes.
It's always been Merry Christmas here in Tennessee, though that may eventually change.
Not if we can help it!!!
Already jumping ship to Wisconsin, I'm tired of having a green Christmas anyway.
Really? Wow. Good luck Patriot!!!
I noticed the same thing here in WV this past week, all Merry Christmas and no Happy Holidays.
Same here. It makes me laugh because I had a liberal acquaintance who was freaking out during the 2016 election just because Trump said he wanted to bring back people saying it.
Same!!!!

Yes, I noticed this too.
Yes ma'am!!!
I have noticed a distinct increase in Merry Christmas over any other greeting this year. Ive commented it to my wife two or three times.
"Festive season" is another corporate wokeism I've grown to hate.
Yes! I went for a Christmas walk this morning (blue state/city) and everyone I passed said Merry Christmas. It was beautiful!
WINNING!
Yeah, I might agree. My "congresswoman" is in the "squad" so I am probably in a similar zone but yeah. I walked around saying "Merry Christmas" to people & it was well received. You might have a point there!.

I have made a specific point of saying Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays.
I think you're on to something. My wife's Asian boss told her not to say "Merry Christmas" to shop customers, because the boss had gotten the impression that it was somehow offensive.

Yep. Everybody around me even at work has said merry Christmas
