Pulls the woman over (small child in the back seat) and begins to berate her for not fully stopping. All this in a quite neighborhood. At 1am with zero other traffic. Woman gets a ticket. That’s when I started to suspect I’d made a poor career choice. However, I thought maybe if I could get high enough up the chain of command I could help prevent bullshit like the above from happening. A few promotions later and I quickly learned that most senior LE’s are even worse. That’s when I left LE forever. The police by and large are not your frens.
