Our fellow, Americans are too blind to see this. They see the passport as access to fun events or restaurants. Most of these people don’t have a clue what’s happening in another country let alone in their own country.

The bright side of the chip shortages on vehicles is they won't be able to automate the Trucks for YEARS to come. They can't even produce enough F150's to meet America's needs. There is no way in hell they are going to create thousands and thousands of automated trucks to replace the Truckers if they strike anytime soon. The downside, of course, is we are going to soon become like Cuba who has to repair 50-year-old cars because they can't get new ones.
So be it. We will all be driving classic cars.
That would be great except they were all traded in for Cash for Clunkers money and are mostly gone.
There are some old junk yards with complete cars that could run with some work though.
I didn’t comprehend how bad the car situation was until we started looking for a car. The lots are almost empty. I’ve heard if you need repairs from a wreck people can’t get parts. It’s so bad here we decided to do work on my SUV & get everything updated & working properly. That’s fine with me, I love my Toyota. It’s 17 years old & just over 100 K miles. I know it’s not American made! I buy a car to last & American made doesn’t last like Toyota & Honda. It’s paid for & we don’t have car debt. Besides the cars may be American made but I’m willing to bet the majority of the parts come from China.
Cashless is NOT the same as decentralized/blockchain society.
When the IMF says cashless/digital, they mean centralized with them in control of every payment.
Decentralized blockchain alternatives are what we need to counter GoFundMe, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Blockchains are the backbone to the parallel economy of good people.
Nope IMO. They turn off your power and/or internet. Make paper crypto wallets illegal. Toast.

As a government becomes more authoritarian the people will be motivated to do more to circumvent it.

The national "coin shortage" is helping with the predictive programming for a cashless society (as others have mentioned) and setting the stage to the Central Bank Digital (read: crypto) Currency. Once the govt controls the national fiat digital currency, they will be able to do all kinds of nasty things to dissidents.
Protect yourself with physical silver and gold (as was written in the Constitution). Praise the Lord we are pivoting from the Great Reset into the Great Awakening.
And the government will dictate what a "good citizen" will be. Period.
It will not be good if they try to make all money crypto and digital. Crypto and digital money should never be allowed to take over physical money. Crypto and digital money should only be just another money resource (for diversification).

Safety and safe against inflation means nothing when they control 100% of what you have, earn, and what you can buy or even IF you can earn or buy.
You actually don’t understand crypto, because blockchains are all about taking away their control and giving it to the individual.
How do you expect block chain to take their controlwhen it will require they step aside and let it happen. Nothing happens unless they control the what and how. Nothing will change that by using crypto.
Ontop of that,all they have to do is change the rules on a whim. Wait till everyone is digital. Then make all but their own illegal,and by then they will have all the info.

This “speculative bubble” has been ongoing since 2008… well over a decade. Maybe it looks like mere “speculation” to someone who hasn’t been paying attention. To those of us who have, we know what’s going on.
The government only confiscated crypto on centralized exchanges. They can’t crack the blockchain to steal it.

Inventing a new way to thieve cash doesn't mean that somehow all robbery type of crime is OK now. Arrest the perps, I dont care what excuse or bullshit they want to present in their own defense in court - 'social credit score' is just hot air and not any excuse.

Not tryin to be an a-hole, just pointing out issues with cryptos. If it turns out we win in the end, I could embrace an dist. ledger/encrypted blockchain coin backed by my own precious metals.
We can build a parallel economy and any type of social credit system will fail like it was destined to be.

It boggles my mind just as Covid hit & the world went into “two week” shutdown every store immediately had posters saying there was a coin shortage. The people that can’t (or choose not to) see this isn’t about health frightens me. These people are doctors, lawyers, nurses, finical jobs, teachers, cops, firemen, etc. I’m hoping people wake up & see the control factor before it’s to late for them. & their actions affect everyone.
This is precisely why I don't understand why anyone pushes bitcoin. At any given moment the system will crash and you will have nothing.

I am banking on items of value with a high trade desirability...cigarettes, liquor, staples, etc. I don't understand crypto, but I do know what I need to survive.
