The founder of Dubai, Sheik Rashid, was asked about the future of his country, and he replied, "My grandfather rode a camel, my father rode a camel, I ride a Mercedes, my son rides a Land Rover, and my grandson is going to ride a Land Rover, but my great-grandson is going to have to ride a camel again.”
Why is that, he was asked.
And his reply was, “Hard times create strong men, strong men create easy times. Easy times create weak men, weak men create difficult times. Many will not understand it, but you have to raise warriors, not parasites. And add to that the historical reality that all great empires...the Persians, the Trojans, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans, and in later years, the British...all rose and perished within 240 years. They were not conquered by external enemies; they rotted from within.
America has now passed that 240-year mark, and the rot is starting to be visible and is accelerating. We are past the Mercedes and Land Rover years. The camels are on the horizon.
The greatest generation consisted of 18-year-old kids storming the beaches at Normandy. And now, two generations later, some 18-year-old kids want to hide in safe rooms when they hear words that hurt their feelings. They also want free stuff from the government because they think they are entitled to it.”
Patterns are critical, but there is one book that testifies that the pattern will be broken. Is now the time? We watch and we wait…
I’m an early Gen X and I have spent my whole life undoing the pattern of my boomer parents who generally preferred liquor to family time. They liked getting divorced too and dragging their kids along. I think we the Gen X 1961 or 64 to 1989 will save this world.
Trump is a Boomer
So am I. I'm also the most intelligent person I know (and modest, too).
kek
Me too 1955
We have the best Boomers, don’t we folks?
I find you highly intelligent and engaging like most boomers.
Yeah, inconvenient fact is all trumps inner circle are boomers except his kids.
I’m sorry to hear about your experience. The Boomers certainly failed in their duties as citizens. Don’t be too hard on them, though, if you look closely you’ll see the critical failures happened long before they were even born.
I find it interesting as a Christian that we have a generation called the Millennials coming of age during this critical point in history. Between your generation and theirs, I see great hope for the future.
So the buck starts and stops with a specific birthdate frame.....hmmm.
Rebel Without A Cause was released in pre-Boomer 1955. (to be 20 yr old in 1955, you'd be born in 1935 - Like James Dean.)
The 'Boomers' were seen as rebellious youth in their day. Their parents drank and smoked and had their own monkeys. Bad marriages without divorce or continual divorces, which is worse?
Same as every generation. With the meth/fentanyl kick going on today...and the mainstreaming of burning rioting....which generation gets the blame and why?
"So yeah.......grandpa did it to us too" __ Boomers
Shame on grandpa.
That's grossly general. Bad marriages can scar the children for life. Bad marriages can involve the kids being beaten and then seeing their Mum beaten to a pulp and dragged onto the front lawn by the hair and then the "Dad" getting Tasered by the cops as a slightly hectic Saturday night.
Next Sat the adolescent daughter (product of her environment) will chimp out and get the cops called and end up on the lawn again.
This someone I know.
These kids never had a chance.
Boomers get a lot of crap, much of it deserved, some of it not. Somehow the Silent Generation got a pass, but they’re the underrated ruination of society. Boomers were too young to vote in the mid 1960s, but that’s the era of LBJ and Vietnam escalation, immigration/ invasion reform, and the violation of freedom of association.
A lot of it started when the government (welfare) gave single mothers money to stay home and have more kids. The more kids, the more money.
Yeah, you point is my point. Good and bad behavior is in every generation. We.will all have to work together to save this.
You’re blaming boomers but the 18 yr olds in the OP are kids of Gen X. Go back to Reddit.
Don’t be mean. This is a good discussion. I can look at the bad bits of my generation. Can you look at yourS?
I’m being mean? I’m not the one blaming Boomers for anything. I also don’t generalize everyone of any generation
Where have you been we already have fren. Truth set us free and they can’t put it back in the box.
Not with that basic misunderstanding of events.
What book is that??
I'm assuming the Bible.
That all might be true... but have you ever heard of the term "Deus ex machina"?
It literally means "God from the machine" but refers to ancient Greek dramas where suddenly the gods come down and intervene in the affairs of men (this was Greek theater, you understand) and changed everything. Sometimes the action was unbelievable and sometimes it was very timely....
I sincerely believe we are about to witness the mother of all Deus ex machinas in our lives. The sudden downfall of this stupid Biden "administration" and all the evil it has done to America and the world. That moment is what we are all waiting for. It's going to be Biblical.
Hi level anon spoke to this.
I have bookmarked that long thread...stopped around where he said "why would Soros hate trump ?"
Ps, is your name related to Quinta columna?
Reminded of a professor who said, "Vietnam was just a dirty little war until the gods got involved." Lots of truth there.
Feminism has created girly-men. The PC cancel culture crowd has created a system where it's celebrated for men to wear dresses.
One of the first goals of Communism is to destroy a country's morals, that way people will believe anything they are told. Morals come from the Bible so they eliminate anything to do with biblical principles, hence the 1962 Supreme Court decision to outlaw the reading of the Bible in schools. What has happened since then?? 1960s-1970s we got the sexual revolution. 1980s -1990s we got the homosexual revolution, and now 2000 and on we get insanity, where people can be whatever sex they want to be.
This behavior has been foretold in Romans 1:18-32.
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, [l]sexual immorality, wickedness, [m]covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, [p]unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Thank you for your response. As always, following the wisdom of God and the bible gives us the answers and shows us the way.
Indeed! 2 Pet 1:2-4 says exactly that.
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the [c]corruption that is in the world through lust.
Amen
perfectly said Mr. Reboot.
Just read this exact section of Scripture to my wife today and she said "that sounds like what's going on now!"
This generation was born to replace the generation who were sacrificed into the maw of World War One. They were kept hungry through childhood and ordered off to war in exchange for three square meals and cigarettes so cheap they were almost free.
In exchange for being cannon fodder in World War Two, they were given college educations, starter houses, and new cars at low, low prices. Young people today can only weep in despair to see how good the "greatest generation" had it, when they live as permanent renters and slaves to never-ending interest payments.
I have mixed feelings when people refer to the "Greatest Generation." Yeah, those folks had grit, I'll give them that. But when you point out 18-year-old kids storming the beaches of Normandy, that exposes how easily people of that generation were able to be lied to and manipulated. WWI and WWII were both farces, and millions died as a result of evil agendas. FDR, Eisenhower, Churchill, and Stalin were all war criminals, yet they escaped punishment and were celebrated instead. They commanded armies to do their bidding, and were themselves puppets of Zionist handlers.
An unknown bit of history were the thousands of soldiers from dozens of countries around the world, who traveled to Germany to fight for the Third Reich. They understood what the true menace was, and what Germany was really fighting against. Those were men who not only had grit, but had minds as well...able to see through the propaganda. They volunteered to fight for a dire cause, and paid with their lives.
Very true. A boxer is most hungry when they are fighting to be in the top ten of their division. Once they reach the pinnacle, they become lackadaisical.

Look at the archetypes listing and play mix and match..
And its not just a political thing either, the memories of all turbulent times are the most ingrained in those who experienced them directly.. then their children less so, their grandchildren much less so.. until a collapse resets the cycle and starts it over again.
Think great depression-era levels of brutally enforced resilience and self-taught repair skills to make the most of what little you had, VS the throwing away of plastic iphones every year to get the next and newest and shinier model. So disparate in their philosophies they are alien to each other.
I am glad you said this. My husband and I were both partially raised by ppl born around the turn of the last century. Our grandparents were able to impart values and wisdom honed over the course of 2 World Wars.
I know this has helped me find inner strength in the toughest of times.
And hopefully your kids have picked up on some things too! Thanks for sharing.
It would seem so... most days :)
Civilizations follow a pattern. From bondage to faith, from faith to courage, from courage to freedom, from freedom to abundance, from abundance to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back to bondage.
Guess where we are now? By the grace of God the "back to bondage" phase wil be short circuited so we can get back to faith and courage soon.
This is another way of describing the Fourth Turning,
The only thing was that WW1 and WW2 were created to line the pockets of the DEEP STATE CABAL at the cost of lives of our young treasured men and women for made up wars. No matter which side won the Deep State profiteered financially.
These two posts were great. Unfortunately, it sounds prescient. Hope its not, but who knows??
Metal band name.
Sounds pretty post-rock to me. ;D
The Greatest Generation died in WWII. The survivors gifted us the Boomers.
Trump is a Boomer
He said you have a choice Without vax we would still be locked down
Did you take it? Seriously. I've read some of your replies further down the thread and I'll bet you didn't take it. If you took it because Trump told you to, you're not as smart as you sound. If you didn't take it, I assume you're upset because some people are sheep and took it? We're at war and I hope that the people who took the shots aren't going to be casualties but there are casualties in every war.
So I guess he was supposed to tell everyone not to take it and stay locked down for years? I mean, the clot shot is probably the main reason the lockdowns didn't last any longer than they have. This line of reasoning may be stupid as well but anyone with an internet connection who took it just because Trump said take it if you want to isn't very bright.
Well, I'm not sure I understand your question but, without the shots, they would have tried to keep us in lockdown for years while the world economy was totally destroyed and the great reset was implemented. The early release of a "vaccination" messed their plan up. I'm not sure this is the "stupidest" or "dumbest" line of reasoning but I'm anxious to hear your next insult. It makes your argument so much more effective. Also, I didn't come up with this theory on my own.... Blame Dave. He cares about your health.
I may be one out of over a dozen grandkids that isn’t a commie, but I count more than all of them put together. They’ll hide in their basements and cry about white supremacist violence while the rest of us give all we’ve got to conquer evil.
Of course, that guy never said this, but good nonetheless. I'm pretty sure he said his descendants would be camel riders because the oil will run out and they need something other than oil to bring in cash, aka cool tourism and stuff
Truth makes Sheik Rashid's statement powerful. Although not absolute, a large percentage of the current generation are too spoiled by their well meaning parents.
We need more warriors.
What's it say about humans that we must repeat the same cycles over and over?
How about avoiding the hard times to make hard men, cycle?
I know, too much to ask of us. We're clearly defective.
Electrons, the planets, the arms of the galaxy, plants, animals, humans.
Everything's rotating/spinning/going in circles.
The Ouroboros, eating its own tail. The cycle of samsara (birth, life, death, rebirth). The bible (the last shall be first and the first shall be last) . The Mayan long count calender, which didn't signify the end of the world but just starts a new age.
Politics, society, civilization. Behavior. Patterns of abuse and violence. Strong men, good times, weak men, bad times. Debt, motivation, prosperity, apathy.
We're all just going in circles.
It's the natural order of things.
We strive to rise above the natural order of the physical, animal realm. To do more. To BE more.
It's never easy. But the rewards are bountiful.
Bottom line, we're consciousness retards...
That's the root of the issue. Most don't know to strive for 4D. And that's everyone's objective whether they know it or not.
Good post!
I agree with your interpretation; however, I also see a second meaning or an additional layer. The world started as God's kingdom, but had been turned over to the temptations of Satan after the fall of man. At the time of the sermon in Matthew, the world was (and still is) in a fallen state. I see it as Jesus reassuring people that in reference to his kingdom, it will come full circle and be reestablished again. A very slow circle, but a circle nonetheless. In doctrines that don't teach original sin man follows the same cycle. Born innocent, sin, and a return to a state of innocence through repentance.
Not to suggest Jesus was telling us he'd 'circle back' to the topic.😇
And not all cycles are negative. They're just natural. Without seasons, crops wouldn't grow. Without electron orbitals, chemistry wouldn't work. Everything goes in cycles. It's up to us to embrace the good ones and recognize and avoid the bad.
Good stuff.
All good mate. I dunno if I'm right either. Just trying to figure it all out.
Well as my Pop says "Shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves, 3 generations"
Shits been said 100 times in 100 years..
Some of the empires (Egypt) you listed lasted waaaaaaay longer (Greece) than 240 years.
