I am sorry and this seems selfish considering there are people going through much worse but i have a brother who is really struggling right now.
He is alone in another state and in a really sad place right.

No apologies. I reached out when my husband had a stroke in December. He almost died. I know God answered the prayers. This week he returned to work full time. That's one of the reasons I love this board. People care.

It is when people are alone and sad that a turning point can happen (good or bad), so I always pray for people to find the correct path and I pray for them to have strength, support and confidence to tackle any problem they may face. It's sad and trying to be far from a loved one when they need you.. Lord, You are acquainted with grief. Please help this man with hope and whatever he needs, as You know best. Give his brother peace also, let them comfort each other and be restored by Your mercy. Amen
Not selfish when you're trying to help family thru Christ.
People without some big dramatic reason they need prayer are just as important as those who do. Day to day life, to "keep on keeping on" requires faith and it requires support from the Lord, because life, and wanting to continue to live it, can be so very hard. Compounded by loneliness. So sad. I am blessed to be praying for your brother and wish him only the best. Things like this make me think of the John Prine song where he says, 'you don't have to be alone....why don't you come on home?" If someone can't go to where their heart feels "home".. they need so much compassion.

Don't be discouraged, and my husband would tell you don't apologize for asking for prayer for any reason as long as you don't request us to pray for things that are contrary to Scripture.
