My guess?
He is 100% in on the leak. Astro turf protesters and "fencing" all of it set up in advance. They are trying to put abortion into law, and this is a way to fire up their base. No pun intended on the fire. That's coming too.
He is forced to vote yes by party and no by deep state so the next best thing to do is leak it to try to kill it
I think this is all theatre. A few of them voted yes to get it to this point, and they will retract their vote later in the process. In the meantime they will fire up the left with the one issue that their base cares about more than not being able to afford food and gas.

To be honest, I'd probably be looking too if I was at a party. That being said, the same thing happened to me and the dude looking hard for it was the culprit when he "found it" in the place I had checked 5 times already.

I heard him go into my room, then leave the hotel. So, I turned the water off, walked into my room, counted the cash, then walked out to the balcony where I saw him walking to his truck. I yelled at him to give me my money back. He knew he was stone cold busted, so he did. He never did it again, though. He was the biggest liar and thief I have ever worked with.

It's the chief supreme court justice's constitutional job to precede over impeachment trials. Just as it's the supreme court chief justice's job to swear in the presidents. I doubt Trump's impeachment and this current news is directly related or anything.

Chief Justice determines who gets to author the majority opinion, so the CJ tends to make sure he's in the majority opinion. Consider this: Roberts did not join in the majority and this was going to be or is a 5-4 ruling (Alito, Thomas, Barrett, Kavanuagh, Gorsuch vs. Roberts, Breyer, Kagan, Sotomayor). Then as senior Justice, Thomas chooses majority opinion writer. He'd choose Alito, obviously. Now that Alito's absolutely nuke of an opinion is out there, perhaps Roberts changes his mind to side with the majority so he could choose himself to write the majority opinion and try to make it far less of a nuke to Roe? He'll try to side with Mississippi but not outright overturn Roe let alone declare that there is no constitutional right of abortion, unlike Alito who demolished all of that bullshit.
Could this have all been a trap to expose Roberts? 🤔
And consider this, perhaps the Court is utterly compromised and the "majority" was not going to uphold the MS law, let alone overturn Roe and declare that there is no 14th Amendment abortion constitutional right? Perhaps only Alito and Thomas are clean? Perhaps they leaked this opinion to show the TRUTH that was going to be suppressed? Perhaps this is a warning to the other "conservative" Justices, that if they somehow changed their votes, if they won't agree with Alito, then it's a bullet to the head for them? 🤔

Confirming this leak, in may ways, is worse than the leak itself.
The intent is to provide ammunition to the left even before the actual judgement is made, and confirmation is more official than just a leak because leak has plausible deniability.
They are hoping to galvanise rioting and use that as cover to force the opposite judgement.
I think it's a big distraction while they ATTEMPT to pull us into WW3.
