I traveled quit a bit last year. Was feeling like shit all the time. I completely quit stopping at all fast food to eat. Within a month I was feeling 10 yrs younger, felt 10x better, slept better, clearer thinking. Fast food is fuking toxic. The shit they fry stuff in is toxic. Literally, toxic to your micro-biome (gut health). The smeat they put in between bread buns (that does not mold) is not natural. Chicken nuggets … do not eat if u have a fish allergy, because thats whats in that shit. Fish emulsion to glue the chicken chunks. Soda … high fructose corn syrup is loaded with pesticides.

They put HFCS into EVERYTHING - not just the sodas.

They got rid of frying in lard, because it was actually better for you than the fake veggie oils they use today (think, diabetes increase coinciding with the change).

They spray sugar water on the salads.

People eating this as a social status symbol are most likely to starve whenever the planed famine hits.

I consider it alarming that people will not take the faintest hint of pride to prepare their own food. I understand that sometimes one occasionally purchases fast food, but on regular basis, this is just insane.

When I was a kid we didn't have fast food (pay first).

We ate at home together when the food was hot (before microwave ovens).

Maybe once a month we would eat at a restaurant.

maybe 3-4 times a year we would eat out for special occasions - no cold cuts either - go to the garage and get the leftover roast beef, turkey or ham and slice off for sandwhiches.

Frens enjoy having apero with us: I put my macadamia, brasil, pecan nuts, along with almonds, noisettes… with a little oil, salt, spices (I grind my own pepper mix) in an air fryer. That changes them from the MSG crap they buy in shiny bags.

No, they didnt treat their soy with roundup. Roundup killls almost all soft tissue non woody plants. There wouldnt be soy if it were treated with glypho. Ridiculous

I know it's nefarious because chains refuse to do turkey burgers (even though they're delicious with swiss) but they push this crap

One 4 oz turkey patty can be around 20g of protein, and like 8g of fat plus its white meat and cooks easily (less food poisoning)

There's a Japanese take on the Salisbury steak called the hambagu steak.

Typically it's made with ground beef and pork. Try making it with turkey and pork instead of beef, it will blow your mind. One of the best home meals ever

We have the Ninja Foodie. No complaints with it after about 6 months.

Any foods that need reheating usually go on it, either on air fry or bake mode. We just sprinkle a little water on any fried foods that need to be reheated and it turns out crispier the when it was fresh.

Turkey Marsala meatballs or Turkey burgers with food processed mushrooms and onions as a filler are some of the other turkey recipes we use.

That's just economy of scale when it first came out. I also speculate that when it started there was an element of businesses marking it up to sell it as a "premium" product. The Porsche model.

The fake shit has significantly more scalability than real meat. Even without interference, it absolutely can be made significantly cheaper than real meat.

Ethanol did cut gas prices in the sense that gasoline with ethanol is cheaper than gasoline without ethanol.

The whole market going up is another topic.

Like, yea, food costs are going to continue going up across the board, and eventually the fake meat will be more expensive than the real meat is now, but the real meat will be even more expensive.
