Way too much "REDACTED FOR PRIVACY"...IF one cannot find who owns or at least has the company address--I would be careful!!! Just My Opinion!!!
This sounds fake, as if someone sent them a letter pretending to be UPS.
I just checked both websites, and neither website has any sort of notice. Brownells shipping information page still lists UPS as a potential shipping method.
Umm, it's not like there's been a trend like this or anything. 15 years ago, I started noticing differences in automobile parts listings and availability. Really strange that, by application, certain parts appear as "no longer available" in parts house listings on the innerwebs. BUT THEN, while cross-referencing the same part number, it appears ON THEIR SHELF! THEY'VE BEEN TRYING REAL HARD FOR A REALLY LONG TIME MAKING IT SO WE DON'T KNOW, CAN'T LEARN, OR OTHERWISE BECOME DEFEATED!!!
Having looked into it a bit. Every article I’ve found on the topic seems to originate with 1 author. A Lee Williams.
Brownells doesn’t have any sort of notice posted on their main website.
Other Social Media pages seemingly associated with the company haven’t seemed to have been updated to include any notice. Just their Facebook supposedly. Which I am not able to confirm as I don’t have an account.
Common sense though would dictate updating all your social media pages. If something dramatic like that occurred. As assuming all your customers that could potentially be affected are on Facebook seems silly.
GhostFirearms is no longer in existence with the company having changed names in 2018 to Grid Defense. https://www.ghostrifles.com/faq/
Their website address also still lists the address as GhostRifles though.
Grid Defense also oddly enough doesn’t seem to maintain a social media presence outside of maybe an Instagram. I can’t confirm if the account is associated with them though as I don’t have an Instagram account.
I also haven’t had luck locating a Joe Zatar. At least one associated with the company Grid Defense.
Lists the company as having been incorporated in 2019. With a Nader B. Meqdad serving as company president.
Grid Defense is also registered at 828 S. Nova Rd. Not Bill France Blvd. Which is what the letter they say they got from UPS says. Though it’s not unheard for small Business guys to use their home addresses for accounts. It’s a tad unusual.
I can’t find a conclusive source though as to what’s at 836 Bill France Blvd though. Some Websites are saying it’s undeveloped. Some say it’s a condo complex etc. Satellite photos show a seemingly undeveloped lot though.
What I’ve found makes me think it might be fake news.
I hope this goes about as well as a moving company being all 'Yeah fuck you and the contract we signed, we just decided to dump and destroy all your furniture and property you wrapped so protectively'
Yeah, but not directed at say Remington for example. Or, smaller firearms retailers that do not do custom lowers/trigger assy/etc.
Sounds like that particular client has violated either state or federal laws concerning custom made firearm(s) and/or parts.
It's a company decision, in which they have the right to terminate a client for any reason but especially one that is tip-toeing firearms laws. Sounds like a liability decision based on UPS' end.
Lawsuit incoming.
Class action.
Several. Every person expecting a package should sue too.
Its a Federal crime for UPS to do it. They have no right to play the role of law enforcement by seizing product and destroying it.
USPS was made into an intelligence agency. They do a lot of snooping on the net
If they are doing it at the behest of federal agencies, then it would be directed towards them.
Though UPS still ends up bearing responsibility for cooperation, and now lose a lot of business as these stories will spread

Back to SCOTUS we go....

Just buy your guns from a local gun shop. It's always a treat for me to go to the gun shop and see what I can lose in my next boating accident.
Right time for independent parcel carrier to come up and fill this gap.
Stop using UPS. That’s how it is done. Break the backs of these shippers.

Fines and jail would be nice to see.
Could have some validity. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/04/11/biden-doj-classifying-gun-parts-firearms-effort-ban-ghost-guns/
Really and UPS can just make determinations of what is legal and not legal and confiscate and destroy parcels. Sue those mothers into oblivion.
You're scaring the shit out of me lol....I ordered a new Savage Thursday.
Boycott UPS!!
Not even remotely legal, have fun with that ups
LOL bless their little hearts, they want to get involved with a sudden burst of energy.
Was it an actual law that was passed by both the House and Senate and then signed by the President, or was the decision based on policy from the ATF?
Because I think I heard somewhere that there's a major difference in that on is legal and the other is a tad bit unconstitutional...
Destruction of mail is a felony. Someone needs to make a complaint with the USPS inspection police or whatever they are.
This sounds like a unique happening directed at one client as opposed to sweeping company wide policy effect.

So this is a "woke" crackdown decision and not a "targetting guns" decision then.
