False. Sex is biological. Gender carries with it, for many people, some behavorial traits, but without anything specific. It was never used until a couple decades ago. I believe it was an intentional corrupting of the language, similar to using "gay" to mean degenerate behavior, rather than "happy," which was always its meaning -- or, "anarchy" to mean "chaos" rather than its actual meaning of "without a king."
