Uranium is useless for a "dirty bomb." It is not radioactive enough. Most of natural uranium is so inert, it is used as nuclear shielding or ballast weight (when it is not being used as tank penetrators).

How do you come to that conclusion?? They both are saying that the other sides will detonate a nuclear bomb. Iodine tablets or drops I believe is the best antidote for radiation poisoning. PhysicsFags or ChemFags will know for sure as that is not my area of expertise.
It's not so much an antidote as a blocker. By maxing out one's intake of regular iodine, the body is less inclined to uptake any radioactive iodine. A radioactive isotope of iodine is produced in nuclear detonations----but if they are just scattering radioactive isotopes, there is no guarantee of what they are. Radioactive strontium is another bad actor; it wants to substitute for calcium. So keep up on your calcium and magnesium.

I don’t want anyone complaining about oh, I wouldn’t take them, they are Made In Israel. All I can say is grow up. We have entered WW3 and if you must know, Israel will not supply ANY weapons to Ukraine, including the Iron Dome. And like all sovereign countries, they have the right to defend themselves, as does Pakistan.
Find a nuclear calculator online. Drop in your nearest capital city (that’s not to say a nuke could be dropped outside a city). It will depend on size so put in 15 KT then 10KT. It will show the damage from impact out. While the bomb will do irreversible damage, those outside that zone are still in danger by radiation which carries on the wind. If you are aware of a nuke being dropped but the radiation cloud has not reached you, you must take cover indoors immediately, preferably inside the middle or in a basement. You need to have fresh clean clothes ready and a shower station - you can use those camp showers while standing in a large tub of some kind - need to strip off these clothes and put them in a lidded bucket outside then wash youself down with soap, including washing your hair, but do not use conditioner.
You should be putting soil up against any windows at basement level now. Or sandbags at the ready but this could cost you precious time. All windows should be covered with heavy thermal type drapes, drafts filled. There is a paint that can be used too. Once inside you need to stay there. Any window or doors opened during the radiation period risks radiation seeping inside. Consider pets and how they will not be allowed outside during this time and their toilet and feed needs. Best to put everyone in the ‘safest’ room on mattresses. The lower and middle part in the house is the safest. If just one nuke is set off, you might only need to stay put for a week, but if multiple nukes are detonated than winds can bring the radiation to you for a long time.
What shocked me is the CDC has recommended staying protected inside for 24 hours!! Can we trust them?? Go to any prepping site that has info gleaned from Chernobyl etc., and see what they recommend. Only a radiation monitor can tell if it is safe outside. It shows you what is the safe range for your area and how much radiation is in the air and what an adult can withstand. Children should not be allowed outside under any circumstances. You can buy these. At first you might only be able to go outside for an hour and the same process of stripping off clothes and washing yourself down applies. It also recommends you don’t eat your vegetables and wait until your area has a good amount of rain to wash the area of radiation which will be like an invisible ash cloud.

The small drone can be used over and over and on these types a grenade or another explosive is used.
