It's too early to come to any real conclusions. Perhaps Ron is a double agent playing along with the RINOs so that at the last minute he bows out and gives the nomination to Trump and sabotaging their only real strategy. Or perhaps he's considered their proposal but is not on board.
Or he could really just be a DS plant intended to derail MAGA. Time will tell.

He might be humoring those two clowns though. His policies have him as the top Gov in the USA right now, by almost every metric that matters to the average constituent. Until I see DeSantis do otherwise I am going to assume he will continue to stay in that lead position. Unless of course Lake wins AZ in which case he might go to the 2nd place.

That said, I think DeSantis thinks that Kari Lake would make a much better VP choice than him, so his options are 1) Run against Trump in 24, lose, and hope to be Kari Lake’s VP in 28, or 2) Just be governor, I guess? I’m just spitballing here.

Now for the part that I fucking loathe: it's optics, people. There are still swamp creatures in the GOP who need to be removed. So, Trump and friends play along. The Rino's have either gotten to DeSantis or they think they can get to him. Either way, I'm not worried about Trump. This is no different from the 2016 primaries. He might tear you a new asshole now, but afterwords, as long as you fall in line, it's water under the bridge. This won't affect Tuesday in any way shape or form. It would behoove us to learn to think more strategically and steps ahead like Trump does and like the DS is. Who Trump ultimately picks as running mate is not a popularity contest and not even a maneuver to govern better. If Trump runs and wins then assassination is about all the cabal has left in their quiver. In 'typical' times the Presidental candidate could make a seeming enemy his VP to keep his enemies closer. Trump can't afford to do that I don't think. It would actually be healthier for Trump's longevity to keep DeSantis (I believe he's a plant) as a rival that Trump knows he can beat. So ramp up the rivalry with nicknames...
On this theme....... if we get Trump back in office how do we ensure that each and EVERY single Secret Service member is 100% loyal every second of every day?
