The DOJ will do what it's told. Hunter's dealings will be exposed. Peter Schweitzer will be fed the details of historical sales of influence and money laundering through gifts to friends and family. The book will be a NYT bestseller and dominate the news cycle, and it'll look like the Republicans getting him so the Dems can keep up partisan appearances. Joey and Hunter will be exposed for treasonous sale of influence to the highest bidder. The FBI will toss the book at him. Depending on how much Joe chooses to fight, they'll lay out all their leverage on him. It's an offer he can't refuse... unless he's senile and stubborn and thinks he can BS his way through it like he always has.
