They push that they are food "independent", but it's all just a bunch of half truths to cover up the real truth. They push that 60% of Israel's meat is grown In Israel. But who feeds the animals? They can't grow the food to feed their food in such a small country.
Ukraine was 30% of Israel's entire egg supply. Ukraine and Russia provided 80% of their grains.
They stocked up and were able to last through most of 2022, but their supplies have began to run out. When that happened it had a knock on effect. Ukraine and Russia are 30% of the world's wheat supply.
The US is 40% of the world's corn supply. Corn is used to feed the world's livestock. Countries need corn for many things, but meat is the big one.
Rather than admit that the reason for the jump in food prices was because of the war, the MSN made up "bird flu" and "inflation" to cover up the real cause. Their populations would want the war over fast if they knew it's why food prices were jumping.
Ukraine is the breadbasket of Europe and they scorched it. They knocked out the food supply of Europe, Israel, and the Middle East. Of course food would jump in cost.

I have been reading rumors that Netanyahu is trying to make Israel a theocracy and include religious law in the state law. Making it illegal to attempt to convert anyone from one religion to another.
Dont know if that's true or not but considering Christians are the most negatively impacted by this supposed new law it might help to color in the battlelines a bit more clearly

However, another source said that this kind of legislation is proposed regularly by ultra orthodox members of parliament. Netanyahu receives support from Zionist Christians, so he says this legislation will not be passed.
Well, long ago, Israel actually was a theocracy, and ever since they regained control of Jerusalem in the six day war, they have been seeking to rebuild the temple which they (perhaps mistakenly) believe is where the Muslim dome of the rock now sits. All the parts necessary for reconstruction (they say) have already been built.
