I'm annoyed by the owner's apparent lack of spacial orientation and balance.

I'm annoyed by his commingling of free thought with denial of observable scientific facts.

Folks, the earth being a sphere isn't some theory that's up for grabs. It's been known for many centuries. This flat-earth stuff is just pitifully embarrassing and has less than nothing to do with Q, actually makes our movement look like granola—full of nuts and flakes.

This guy reads this forum for sure. I want him to know that we love him, despite our disagreements.

He's also doing a good job associating us with retards who think the earth is flat.

A few years ago I decided to believe TEiF just to see if I could prove it to my own satisfaction. There were a few compelling anomalies to be sure, but the overwhelming evidence is that we are living on a globe.

The trouble I found in TFE forums is that they cling to one piece of flotsam at a time and don't use critical thinking on the big picture. In other words, they want to believe. I don't know why.

Joe Rogan's optics are pretty good. He openly associates with flat earther Eddie Bravo and has him on the show often.

Some of the experiments with the p900 zoom camera were interesting.

According to calculations (I don't remember the details, so I'll make some guesstimates here as an example) apparently something 20 miles away would be quite a bit below the horizon when on a level surface, something like 50 odd meters. (assuming a viewing height of about 2m).

However, when using one of these zoom camera's they were able to zoom in on something that was about 20 miles away (on a clear day obviously) even though technically it shouldn't be possible as it should be hidden by the curve, or at least the bottom 50m of it shouldn't be visible, so anything short of that you shouldn't be able to see.

Have you looked into refraction? I think thats a very easy thing for globe earthers to answer with. I think the thing that flat earthers would have to explain is, why would the object ever not be visible. Meaning, refraction explains why an object would sometimes be visible around the curve of the earth, for instance southern michigan dunes can sometimes see the tops of buildings in Chicago. What flat earthers would then have to explain is, why the bottoms of the buildings were not visible and why Chicago is not always visible with clear skies.

Why would something like that infuriate you? I swear some people on this site seem to be just as emotionally unstable as all the CNN trolls. What difference does it make if the earth does turn out to be flat? At this point we know (or should know) that we've been lied to about virtually everything! Why would that be any different? If the earth does turn out to be flat how is that going to effect your everyday life? Are you afraid you might fall off?

So many Patriots have been hounded for trying to get the truth out and have been labeled "Truthers," "Birthers," "Conspiracy Whack Jobs," and a whole host of other names by the libtards in this country. Many of us had a difficult time swallowing some of the "Red Pills" we've had to swallow over the years. I remember when I was told by a good friend of mine...a man I highly respected that the Bible I reading was corrupt! Sure, I was upset...but I didn't just get "infuriated," and storm out with my mind shut to his statement. I took it upon myself to see if the information he was telling me was correct or not. Many of you on this site need to do the same. Rather than just throw crap at someone who says they are a "Flat Earther" because it sounds like crazy talk to you...do some research before you start railing on someone's else's belief.

I have not found it necessary to do enough research into the Flat Earth theory to say it is correct in my mind or not. I am still 50/50 I suppose. Being a pilot flying an airplane around at 40+ thousand feet above the ground, I tend to want to believe in the sphere theory. However, there is one observable fact that needs to be fully explained to me to throw the Flat Earth theory out the window for me for good and that is if anyone out there can demonstrate anywhere at any time where water can wrap around a round surface without settling level due to the force of gravity.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– Afropick07 1 point 1 year ago +1 / -0

Gravity is just a tendency all mass has to be attracted to mass. Dont think of water as being level, think of it as being equidistant from the center of mass of the earth. The scale of earth is so big, its like making a circle in AutoCAD and zooming in on the outside of the circle that it appears to be a straight line.

Also, if you're going to knock anyone exploring the flat earth theory, you need to examine your own cognitive dissonance. I dare anyone to do curvature math and come back here and say it's all good to go.

Calculating the curve of the Earth is so easy that even the Greeks figured it out millennia ago. The mass of the Earth was closely measured a few centuries back as well. Anyone still claiming that the horizon is not curved has either never been atop a tall mountain or out to sea. Hell, if it's flat you should be able to see the opposite shore of the great lakes with a telescope on a clear day even. Meanwhile our entire country and planet are being stolen out from under us while you're splitting hairs over geology.

Anyhow if Flat Earth was legit it'd be banned from YouTube along with vaccine injury and masks don't work.

Hell, if it's flat you should be able to see the opposite shore of the great lakes with a telescope on a clear day even.

Well, you can sometimes if the weather is right. Due to refraction. The real issue is then why cant you always see Chicago from the dunes in lower Michigan and why can you only see the tops of the buildings not the bottoms.

▲ 2 ▼
– TheLetterK 2 points 2 years ago +7 / -5

Flat Earth arguments are so stupid. "The nose of the airplane would constantly need to point downward!" These people can't even fathom the size difference between an airplane and the Earth. How is it that ancient Greeks were able to figure this out but people with computers can't?

"Why can't I see [super far away city] from here?" Seriously stupid arguments.

– Afropick07 2 points 2 years ago +2 / -0

They make that plane argument but then never consider, well if the earth is flat, in order to fly „around-the-globe“ the pilot would have to constantly turn the plane a little to the north. Its funny that they think altitude is calculated by a tangential line from where the plane originally took off.

Nope, it had nothing to do with silencing free speech, it was about road rage and signs to look for on the road. If you're out driving and minding your own business, the higher the presence of bumper stickers on another car, the higher the likelihood that that other driver could be prone to road rage. The study was meant to make us alert to such people while driving.

Here is just one article about it, from 2008: https://www.newsweek.com/bumper-stickers-road-rage-221616

Pull Quote from the article: "As scientists led by Paul Bell, Lucy Troup and Bell's student William Szlemko of Colorado State University report in the June issue of the Journal of Applied Social Psychology, it's a simple matter of territoriality. Researchers have long known that drivers who have a strong sense of personal space while in their vehicle are more likely to be road-ragers, and the more someone plasters his vehicle with bumper stickers and decals the more territorial he feels about the space inside."

the more someone plasters his vehicle with bumper stickers and decals the more territorial he feels about the space inside

Sorry but to me that reads like made-up left-wing nonsense. "Territorial" about the space inside their car?

Nobody ever thinks in these terms. Unless someone is actively trying to carjack you, the space inside your car is never challenged, at risk, or up for grabs. It never even crosses your mind. You just get in your car and go and never think about the "territory" therein.

It could just be more likely that the bumper stickers mean the person has a lot to say and likes to say it in this manner where just driving around gets their message out to hundreds of people at a time. Crazy, I know, but it could be.

After reading the Flat earth comments, I'd like to say something. The stars are the answer. During winter solstice look at the stars from the equator. Do the same, from the same location during summer solstice. If the constellations are completely different, you are on the opposite side of the sun looking at entirely different stars on a ball shaped planet that orbits the sun. If the stars are the same, every single thing we were tought is incorrect...... very simple, yet you will never find someone who can give us those two photos 6 months apart. Why?
