First time I've heard of anything having a bolt pattern of 17 bolts. Engineers don't do that. They tend to pick "nice" numbers for everything. Assuming it's a round hatch, that puts each bolt 21.17647... degrees apart, which makes it stupid to manufacture something like that. IMO the 17 bolts is some of the commiest comms that ever commed.
If you go back and look at the pictures of the sub you'll see that there were only 16 bolts used. They incorrectly stated 17 and never corrected it.
