I went through TSA the other day and they require taking a picture of you to confirm your identity now. That was new for me..

I can confirm that the āUSā customs , at least at cruise ports, is using face recognition that is so accurate you donāt need to show your passport.
I went thru that (after 911 implemented I guess) on a cruise in 2003 and I was furious.. It was a retina scan. Not sure how many years it was implemented but looked down like in an eye tester to board back on the boat . Ported in Mexico.
