Kind of silly, if you check Zillow on the value of Mar-a-lago, it is obvious that zillow tweaked the value. It's a 17.5 acre lot with significant historical value attached, not to mention the all the rest and it is show way under value, yet within 300 yrds there are half acre properties "valued" at 40mil+. Then again people like this judge do not understand that tax valuation != real property value.

The burden of proof is never on the defendant in our system, so the state needs to prove that Trump did what he is alleged to have done in the complaint. It’s civil. The constitution does apply but there are special protections in the bill of rights that only apply to criminal proceedings.
I'm not sure this had anything to do with today, but at some point previously Trump's lawyer Chris kice was talking about bringing in a guy who had a different interpretation of the law than the judge. And the judge said he didn't need an explanation of the law. Something like that.
I mean I would argue we need to redo our whole legal system to make it quicker…and that was before trump and all this insanity. We were built around a “speedy trial” and nothing including family court should take a year plus to adjudicate.
Family court gets reset and you will see a lot more marriages too. It’s literally stacked to where women are incentivized to have kids and leave the marriage. It should always be 50/50 unless proven mental illness which is a slippery slope.
Criminal law is no different. Rehabilitate or punish to the full extent of the law. Only the most extreme crimes should be life in prison not a guy caught with .5 oz of weed or coke 3x
