I know of a woman in her late 50s, fell and hurt her wrist, the fall dislodged a βblot clotβ and she died within 2 days of the original her fall.
Never in my life have I heard of such a thing.
...fell and hurt her wrist, the fall dislodged a βblot clotβ and she died within 2 days of the original her fall. Never in my life have I heard of such a thing.
I don't know what a blot clot is, but an embolus is a blood clot, air bubble, or other matter carried in the bloodstream that can lodge in a vessel, causing a blockage
When my brother had his heart attack, the cardiologist told him he suspected that a piece of plaque had come loose ( he has had very high cholesterol for years). Where it came off, the body tries to heal that area in the vessel - kind of like a scab on a cut. That was the clot that then broke loose and caused the attack.
Yes, that is correct, but as the weather outside gets colder, your platelets stick together more and your blood thickens to help maintain that body temperature. As it gets warmer your platelets loosen and split apart to help cool you down.
This is actually true though, when I was in the Army we were always told to be careful during cold weather deployments due to this and if you had surgery within 72 hours you skipped the cold weather drop.
In 1984 they dropped my group deep in Alaska backwood during early Spring, we were at a pretty low altitude and had to hike 40 miles through primal territory to get to the pickup location in two days, but the path went right over a mountain range and altitude went up something like 2000 feet then back down if I recall. At the crest of the mountain the temperature was around 10 degrees.
We were working over the top and there was no snow falling but there was some on the ground, it was a slog for sure. We were all under 25 - I was the oldest one and the least athletic of them all. Janey, this wirey dude who was super smart and was a long distance cyclist, collapsed suddenly and we had to radio in and hike him to an emergency pickup spot. He ended up dying on the helicopter ride to our home base and it turned out to be a blood clot from the cold - he weighed 120lbs tops, 22 years old, and was healthy as a horse.
Oh it's definitely a cover for that crap, but the reality is your temperature changes and blood clots do happen even to healthy people all the time. My father died from a blood clot - he spent two weeks in colorado and then flew home to Florida and he had a stroke on the airplane because a clot disloged and went into his brain.
Government is willing to deliberately slaughter humankind using forced injections of poison that causes blood clotsβthen expect you to believe they're caused by the common cold
Anecdotal: I was at a party, a friend looked bad, talked about blood clots and how getting sick can cause them. I was only 2 beers in, but just said. Aww it's that shot that's causing all this, ya never heard of this sh*t before.. total. silence. (and he's not the silent type at all).
Back when I was in 7th grade (late 60βs), one of our classmates broke a leg, or maybe it was an arm sledding over a weekend. We were told a small bone fragment from that break went straight to his heart and he died. There was a memorial page for him in our HS Senior year annual. I think about him from time to time. I wonder if it was a blood thing? This post just reminded me of him.
DS is getting desperate to cover up the crime. yeah, blood clots occur for strange reasons and can kill. never fly right after surgery, etc.... but after a cold???? they are stretching it thin, like butter on a piece of bread.
Humans are mammals. Mammals are called homeotherms, because they possess the capacity to maintain a constant internal body temperature regardless of the external temperature (within bounds of reason).
So, our blood manifestly does NOT clot just because the air temperature reaches (a balmy) 64 degrees.
OP article is post-science, post-truth disinformation.

This isn't common, but it does happen. My wife is an ER nurse and has seen this a few times.

Pro wrestler Chris Candido died of a broken ankle.
A blood clot dislodged, traveled to his heart, and he was gone.
Which is why they tell you not to fly on planes shortly after surgery. He did, and he died.
Oh, bugger. I have a cold and Iβm flying tomorrow.
RIP
Dis-ease of mind. Change your mind. You'll be fine.

Having surgery and a cold are two different things.
More Babylon Bee type headlines coming to pass. The tragic comedy continues. As The Clown World Turns.

Wow, they say that if your house is colder than 18C (64.4F), your blood will get cold and thicken and you'll be at risk of blood clots.
"It adds that when we start to get cold, our blood becomes thicker, which can lead to blood clotting - this is when it clumps together and hardens."
They must think their audience is a bunch of ignorant children. They likely are correct.
Liberals: if your house is colder than 18C (64.4F), your blood will get cold and thicken and you'll be at risk of blood clots!!!
Also liberals: No heating oil! Stop turning the thermostat up!! You're using too much electricity!! NO GAS STOVES!!!!
Also liberals: The planet is too warm! It's boiling!! It's SCORCHING!!!! wE'Re aLL gONnA DiE!!!!!!!
"By George, I think You've Got it". You could put a meme together with your comment , to the Tune of the My Fair Lady Song.
Last time I checked, humans were mammals with a constant average temperature of 98.6 degrees F.

It's very basic.

Yes. But this is not some critical issue when your house is 65 degrees inside and you're wearing a sweater.
No, it's not, but if it was like 50 and you were naked it could be a slight concern!
Jesus...we live at 8800 ft. And it was 10 deg the other day. And I shoveled snow!!!
Ohhhh the humanity!!!!
Did you know 1500 people die a year shoveling snow?
Didnβt know the specific number. But sure...out of shape people exerting themselves once every too long can exacerbate cardiac issues.
But this crap theyβre shoveling is coverup for the clotshots.
Two very different situations.

In medieval times, they thought leaves falling off trees made baby ducks. Not much has changed.
People still don't want to connect the dots even when the dots are literally touching each other.
The same people who don't want to connect that Biden's a pedo even when the pedo is literally touching kids pedophilically.

Only in the vaxxed.
But donβt forget to get your clot shot. π€¬

You need to body cam that shit. Hilarious!
Lol...only 2 beers in...
Baffling.....
Oh sure, common cold is blamed for blood clot now because it chills the blood? Eating a cold smoothie would do the same thing duh!!!
Heaven Forbid....you mean they will have to give up those 64 oz frozen drinks they get at 711?
Plus ice cream or any cold drinks so you won't get killer blood clot. LOL Stupid like people will believe them.
Beware the deadly 'brain freeze'!

In 60+ years this was never a thing,
SMH.
I mean, damn, are the normies so retarded that they look at a story like this and say "oh yeah, this is totally not sus as fuck".
