Can someone explain current gas prices? (2.63 in ohio)..."the biden" hates "fossil" fuel..so why would big oil go along w him?...in the past if someone fired off a bottle rocket in mideast prices shot up immediately .now there's a full on war with actual missles drones being shot at tankers...and prices go down
Every Christmas (usually Christmas Eve) I listen to this song at least once to prepare me for my family Christmas get together. After you listen you might get it. Can't believe it actually gets worse each year. Please don't take this wrong I'm very grateful for my family, the good parts. Sometimes the bad parts try to outshine the light.
If you saw my post asking about cooking an old fashioned cookie well I'm not cooking them now. Sure it's less burden on me. You see even if I don't feel like doing something or don't have time I enjoy doing for others even for those that try to test my sanity. My dad called today said he found a recipe. Me: I have mama's recipe. Dad: they only take four ingredients. Wish you would cook them at my house. See that's his control coming out. (I cook in my kitchen because I have everything I need and know my oven). He can't ask you to do something and trust you to handle it. Dad: Me & T (his friend) are cooking them and you can help. In my older age I rarely fight back with him because the stress on me isn't worth it. Also there's no winning with a narcissist. Me: why do you ask me to do something then take over? Dad: you have enough on you. That's his BS if he was really worried he wouldn't have asked me in the first place. I just left it alone. So I'll do some praying and listen to my country song about dysfunctional families. Even if you don't like country music listen it's a great parody about family differences.

I'm a huge procrastinator and it gets worse the older I get. Probably from dealing with everything from my own issues, other people in my life and trying to live in a F-d up world. 🤣 If you only knew how many tabs I kept open to go back and read something🤦🏻♀️ Sometimes I have over fifty tabs open. But I usually get around to them. Then there's the screen shots😬 I just started cleaning out my photos yesterday. Finally made folders herbs, research etc. Takes forever but I normally make notes on things like herbs, health & bible/scripture. I blame watching Gone With The Wind to much as a child. I'm so much Scarlet O'Hara it's scary.
Haha yeah I sometimes do the multiple tabs thing as well. Then later I will click back and forget why I kept it open so I gotta figure it out. I am not the best with organizing things either. My ADHD kicks in. I tend to operate best by taking multiple things at once but small amounts each thing. Its something I hope to work on in the coming year.

Autocorrect is just straight up weird, honestly.
Someone once posted a little tidbit how they suspected, maybe, autocorrect was intentionally dumbing down speech. As someone with a high vocabulary, I've noticed it often struggles with "big words". Whether that's intentional is debatable (probably not...), but in practice it definitely adds hurdles.
You make a great point. I believe auto correct, predictive text, etc is not helpful for us in the long run. I've never been a good speller. I rebelled in school and just didn't care. Even as a kid in grammar school. I hate to put blame on anyone but me but my mom was did more harm than good trying to help us with homework. That combined with things at home learning was the last thing on my mind. Now I regret it. I really need to turn off auto correct and predictive text. I don't work so I haven't typed in years until coming here. Now I've noticed I can't spell words I actually did learn.
I think they are trying to dumb us down in so many ways! Especially the younger generation still in school and those just getting out the last five years. I don't remember who I was watching they said, "in the 60s and before people graduated knowing English. At some point in time you had to take English in college. I always thought how stupid it was to take English after being in school 12 years learning English. We all know the brainless sheep to control so it's not surprising.
Its a time to remember for me, when I could post a thought without obscenity on CFP and see that post online in a minute or two. Now I post there and receive this: "Your comment will be approved."

I'm not familiar with the ingredients in this. Search for ear oils and there might be herbal supplements that help clear infection. I've never had any success treating an ear infection naturally. The last one I had was brutal in both ears. Took going to the doctor three times and at least twice on antibiotics. I'd search on Amazon even if you don't shop there because you can see what's the most popular.
Herb pharm has good products and I think they have ear oil. Many ear oils are for prevention and not treatment.
Garlic oil is good it's usually in olive oil. I would buy it instead of trying to make it. Cooking oils isn't what you need.

Has anyone baked "lady fingers" also known as nutty cookies, wedding cookies and pecan cookies? Asking for a few reasons. I've been volunteered to make them for Christmas. Don't you love it when people do that? My mom is in nursing home and she's put a guilt trip on my dad. Unfortunately I can't ask my mom these questions because I won't be able to see her until we meet as a family on Sunday. I've helped with these all my life but don't remember everything.
Seems like my mom made these several days or a week ahead of time. That's one question, making ahead time frame?
Another question, would these turn out baking in a sheet or 13x9 pan? It's a lot of work for one person. They require shaping each cookie and when done rolled in powder sugar.
I certainly don't mind doing this my mom. We have never had a good relationship but I appreciate everything she did for us growing up.

Question because I'm just curious. What day of the week starts the next week's general chat? It's Monday here. The daily chats always started just before or at midnight each day. I'm not trying to be controversial honestly just wondering. Seems weird to start the new week on a Tuesday.

This is my very ignorant opinion, so bear with me.
The exception clause legalizes a loophole for slavery
"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
Taking away incentives for the government to NOT enslave it's population by legal or illegal means is a moral issue, should not be a need for a law, specially one that actually legalizes it.
Hmm... I could see the potential abuse but also the benefit, if you're going to house and feed inmates they may aswell get better + be productive while they're there (our prison system in its current form is abysmal)
Yeah the abuse is what would make it unconstitutional I think. Slavery was unconstitutional before it was "legalized" in my opinion. I see the usefulness, but giving an government institution a material incentive (tax money used for profit) to enslave the population should be more unthinkable than the institution of slavery as the founders experienced.
The founders had slaves before the constitution, and they freed many. I think that's important.

Any recommendations for natural/healthy soap, shampoo, conditioner?
I use Castile soap for washing. Its SLS free and cheap. I am in the UK so can't tell you where to get any cheap Castile, eBay perhaps?
As for showering, I have put some Shungite into my shower head, this is good for removing heavy elements in tap water but as to its efficiency in a fast moving stream of water I have no idea. But its there anyway.
The real redpill is lowering shower frequency. Do you realize you sit there 5-15 minutes exposing yourself to heavy metals and chlorine daily? Not to mention the average hot shower is not good for the heart long term. Improving your soap and shampoo can only help so much to prevent the damage being done.
If you smell bad after not showering for days, living an ordinary day to day life with a desk/retail job, then your internal and external microbiome is completely screwed up and you have way bigger things to worry about
Normies love to convince themselves that it is personal bias and desensitization when peope like myself talk about not smelling bad, but gut flora, stress, and homeostasis are the only reasons a person smells bad.
I can do a full workout and smell 100% normal. I don't even use antiperspirant, just plain regular natural deoderant. I don't even have to use that much either.
If you work a dirty or heavy job, I suggest installing RO system so you can shower daily in distilled water and be 100% fine. Still probably not good to do it every single day but at least with distilled water it is healthy.
Mind you, when getting into natural products, you have to adjust your thinking. Normies think a person who smells like..a person in the most neutral state possible, smells bad. Why? They are used to heavy synthetic fragrances in soaps and shampoos. Clean, organic products often have a nice scent from essential oils or herbs but those scents will not linger for hours like Axe or Bath and Body Works do

I've tried so many different types by many talented people. I've finally found a bar soap that is good for my skin. Takes a bit to learn the many different ingredients used. I prefer goat's milk soap. Coconut based soap dries me out yet it's the most popular.
I use Rahua shampoo and conditioner. They have several different versions. Classic works for me.

Your welcome. It takes a lot of research and sometimes buying items that don't work, in the end it's worth it. Researching the ingredients and how they benefit your skin will be a big help. It's a very different world from mass produced products. If you ever have questions DM. I've been on this journey a long time.
I decided to ask here, because i was looking for 3-in-1 Body Wash and they have all these weird variations now.
1 of them had “Tea Tree Oil” which i looked up on my phone. 1 of the potential side effects causes dogs and cats to have seizures.
1 of them had “Menthol”, 1 of the potential side effects is going into a coma.

Many essential oils are toxic to dogs. Dogs can tolerate some essential oils. However most are toxic to cats. Also babies and toddlers shouldn't be exposed to essential oils. I'm not an expert on EOs, I've used them for many years. Please double check mine or anyone's advice. Essential oils are normally mixed in percentages. For example using a product with essential oil on your face should have a much lower percentage of EO than a body oil or body wash. I stay away from tea tree because I don't like the scent. I do keep it in my collection in case I need it for infection. Most ingredients in body products are like ingredients in food. Meaning those listed first should be a higher percentage than those listed last. If the product has a very low amount of essential oil say like a soap the dog probably won't be affected but we don't have any guarantee of that. I have a small dog and use essential oils around him or they may in my body products. I make sure the oils I use are safe around dogs. I usually buy my products from small businesses because I can ask questions and usually get an honest helpful reply. FYI: tea tree is one of the most toxic oils for dogs. I believe most serious case'sof toxicity have been caused from people diffusing with the dog in the same room. I've heard of cases the dogs either died or they were aggressive because they didn't know their owners. I don't diffuse because I don't want to take the chance.
I wish I knew of a body wash to recommend. I prefer bar soap. If you are interested you can make your own body wash, shampoo etc. I don't because I don't have time or room to store the many ingredients. I could probably find good brands to recommend. I'm familiar with several brands even though I don't buy them.

Our skin is the biggest very porous. Many ingredients in mass produced products either cause cancer, skin irritation or breathing problems. I started learning when everything I used was causing irritation.
Most everything I use has either essential oils or plant based oils. I prefer plant based. There's probably a good explanation online explaining the difference. If you need any links or info I don't mind.
Ya, it's a Men's soap. Easy-to-use because it "does everything."
I have used this company's products several years ago. Never ordered, always bought at TJ Maxx & Marshals. The company is well established. I used the 3 in one wash and it was ok for my hair. Being a woman with long thick coarse hair I needed something different. It probably depends on your hair type if this works. Double check essential oil safety for dogs. Also research using a shampoo/body soap with essential oils toxicity to dog. I believe most are probably safe unless it leaves a strong lingering scent. What I use the scent isn't strong after showering. Over processed toxic products with artificial scents usually leave a stronger lasting scent.
