His last statement about grounding rang true with me. I recently purchased a grounding mat for my bed. Within a week (less) I was remembering dreams like I did back when I was a kid and sleeping better.

Now I get to experiment with my dreams. Glad I bought it.

A Very good U.S. based company that stands behind their products and has excellent comms. U can buy mouse pads, mats, sheets, socks, etc. If you're broke or a just a chump then go outside and put bare feet to grass.

Their products work. I have bought a lot of stuff from them from grounding products to red lights. All worth it. U can use a standard multimeter to test them or they sell their own testers to confirm they are working correctly.

We are around so many electronics, waves of this and that nowadays I think they are a must. We noticed better sleep from the mats right off the bat. Do any research anywhere with red light therapy and u will see overwhelming people have had a plethora of positive results as well. Like with many things though, u get what u pay for. If u buy bottom of the barrel don't expect top results.

Not really. I have read about grounding for years and just pulled the trigger a few weeks ago. This is what I bought but as usual do your own research.

since we're going full-blown woo with this post (kek) may I present a question in that vein:

if you are routing your body's grounding through your home's electrical circuit (by plugging that mat into the wall), which are linked to the smart meter or whatever other devices which can MODULATE electrical currents (think any smart devices you own?), would that not be more risky than tying a ground wire to your body and putting it out the window directly into the ground? Otherwise it seems you would only be subjecting your body to an even more direct vector of attack??

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– -wwg1wga- 1 point 1 year ago +1 / -0

This is more or less correct. I ran a separate ground spike outside. Basically there is interference on the ground spike that is tied in with your electrical system.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– winn 1 point 1 year ago +1 / -0

I meant interference by plugging it into the wall outlet but that's also interesting. Close proximity to something or long wire?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– -wwg1wga- 2 points 1 year ago +2 / -0

Yea the wall outlet ground ties to the rest of your homes electrical, so there is interference on that ground line. The ideal way to run your grounding mat is to run a line to a separate grounding spike that is dedicated for your grounding mat.

As far as I am aware, electrical ground is exactly that and there is no modulation.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– winn 1 point 1 year ago +1 / -0

so there's zero interaction between the live wire and the ground possible?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 9 ▼
– Greekish 9 points 1 year ago +9 / -0

Any wire can have its current modulated, i.e. an induced signal. The longer the wire, the more likely it is to be affected by modulation. And any wire running parallel to another wire that has modulated current will itself pick up a modulated current (= signal).

To sum up: keep your grounding wire as short as possible and keep it well away from other wires. Also for safety sake you should connect a resistor between you and the grounding wire; I'd suggest at least 470 kilo-ohms.

(I have a degree in electronic engineering.)

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– Hodar 3 points 1 year ago +3 / -0

Nicely stated. And the isolation resistor is a good (and safe) idea that should always be used. The 470K ohm should bleed off current safely. That specific value may vary with opinion, but it's a good safe value to work from.

I don't buy it. Lead dust was the hazard, not paint chips. Children play on the floor a lot and put their fingers and toys in their mouth all the time.

That's what I thought too, especially when you come to sand an already painted surface ready to put on a new coat.

They took lead out of petrol because it was making people violent iirc. Crime went down when they removed it apparently.

Still, EMF shielding paint isn't the worst idea in the world.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 8 ▼
– Pbman2 8 points 1 year ago +9 / -1

EMF shielding paint may be very good. I don't disagree with that, I know nothing about it.

But lead paint was a real hazard.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– winn 3 points 1 year ago +3 / -0

I tend to agree. Much like asbestos.

However if we could come up with a safe EMF-shielding paint, which we may already have (I have not looked) that would be ideal imo, but your cell phone service and WIFI would surely suffer. You'd have to hard-wire all your internet devices (which I recommend anyway) and go outside to get texts and calls

*one thing about the WIFI, you could probably still use it if you only paint the exterior walls of your home, it would also keep all the WIFI inside your home so people outside wouldn't pick it up.

You can buy zinc paint for shielding purposes. It's widely used in the electronics industry. It's more effective than lead or aluminium paint.

For it to be harmful to health, children would have to do it for at least ten years, but at 7 or 8 years old they no longer put toys in their mouths, at 5 years old my children stopped putting toys in their mouths.

They can be damaged at that point, and lead is stored in the bones,it can continue to harm you for a long time after exposure.

Lead paint was removed from the market in the 70's long before 5 g was thought of. Scientists and even govt workers were honest at that time.

I've heard a legend of a small town broadcast engineer that bought up all the local fcc licensing and was transmitting low power frequencies with no content. Years later, I got curious about radio, signal propagation, wavelengths and the such. It's clear that harmonic frequencies can easily interfere with the main ones and, to top it off, can do so at very low power. Just haven't clued into what that legendary engineer was blocking but there's some pretty wild theories...

Some people were actually being buried alive, because some were in a temporary coma. Sorry didn't have time to watch the video. So would love too know what the real reason is?

In a nutshell, lead blocks radiation, like 5G.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 5 ▼
– mjs001 5 points 1 year ago +5 / -0

Some interesting etymology related to lead. In the middle ages beer was drunk from mugs made out of lead or lead-containing metal. The tradition of the wake in which the body of the deceased person was laid out for a day or two was instituted in this period to give the "deceased" time to "wake up" from their potential lead poisoning.

They started this practice because when bodies were exhumed, 1 out of 25 had claw marks on the inside of the top of the casket, indicating the occupant had been alive at some point inside the casket. As a result, strings attached to a bell were placed inside the casket so that if the buried person woke up, they could pull the string to ring the bell. Obviously, someone had to be in the cemetery at all times to hear any bell ringing. The person listening at night was said to work the "graveyard shift". And if a bell was rung, the person ringing it was a "dead ringer".

Relevant, this is the woman who found 255,000 ppm of lead in the bottom of Stanley mugs. And thousands of other products mostly from CHYNA.

https://tamararubin.com/about/

She took on the cause of childhood Lead poisoning and consumer goods safety advocacy after her sons were acutely Lead poisoned by the work of a painting contractor in 2005. Covering walls(and roof) in metal(corrugated/trapeze, many options that still look good) will do much of the same and it is a lot lower maintenance(working on it, roof and one wall done)

This metal can also be painted with whatever paint you wish...

Ground fault switches do on occasion trip when lightning strikes too close to the house(usually still rater far away from the house) so I think I'll skip grounding my ass while I sleep...

Did however have an interesting idea the other day, what if you ground the needles used for acupuncture...................

My laundry room is full of bottles and cans of things that are poisonous. I don't think the paint on the walls is more dangerous than those things are.

Are the pipes in you house walls old copper pipes with lead solder or PVC plastic pipes? By not drinking out of plastic bottles is admirable, but the only way to get around the contamination is to purchase bottle water in a glass. Then, how are you going to bathe? Heck, even if you have glass pipes in your house,......does the local water supply company have metal pipes, PVC, or PEX? My local water company has 2" pipes, some are metal, some are PVC. I know for a fact that the metal pipes have screw fittings, no soldering involved so that is comforting. What kills me is the PEX pipe in my walls.

Have you ever been to a small lake or a pond that has a ridiculous amount of frogs? Do you remember that smell?

For some reason I can tell when a house has PEX because that's what the water smells like to me. Like a slimy, putrid, frog-infested standing water.

I don't have glass pipes in my house but I'm willing to bet a handful of pesos that my neighbor's son has some glass pipes in his room.

I have come to terms long ago that being alive may be hazardous to my health.

Lots of fun theories in here.

I've used lead with solder and also roofing materials and it's a very fun material to handle. Highly flexible. If one were so inclined, it wouldn't be expensive to add it to some rooms in a decorative manner, or perhaps under the siding.

https://zipmetals.com/Sheet-Lead-_c_1.html

Might be a fun project to "secure" a room in this manner and see how it behaves.

Years ago I remember learning about in Germany they have mattresses with no inner metal springs just for this reason. And all power is shut off to the bedroom so no electric flowing around you when you sleep.

The body and brain are all electrical. Brain and thought is electromagnetic waves. Atoms are electrical neutrons, protons and electrons, none touching each other, spinning.

Hence thought is electrical impulses. And prayer/positive affirmations are electrical impulses. And electrical impulses are detected at great distances. Essentially infinite. Which is how prayer and positive affirmations work.

The movie Powder turned me onto some of these details where a boy is super sensitive to these very weak electrical fields and does some extraordinary things.

Crazy details...
