Thank you, penisse! That's an awesome thread, and makes a strong case that lawsuits like this one will put the hurt on the major Ultra Processed Food pushers and have major benefits for us all.

Yes, but whether THIS one does or not, you KNOW Class Actions are coming for Big Food, and every other corporate cabal that has been harming people for profit. This particular lawsuit is just part of the early trickle of what will become a flood.

Is there any reason we aren’t making this sort of thing from here? It’s not like we’re not aware of these things.

A thing I’ve hoped we could organize these things on outside of here (threads could work for it if we wanted to stay fully within the site, but it would definitely be much clunkier. I’d like to think we should be able to stay reasonably anonymous elsewhere, though “filing class action lawsuits” would definitely mean ditching that at some point)

Two medical poisonings I’ve posted about recently where they clearly know they’re doing it, and we just need to find who’s done what and draw out a locktight case that it is happening, it’s intentional, it violates these laws, and whatever else needs to go into a lawsuit.

The timing is definitely due to RFK coming.

The companies being sued are Kraft Heinz, Mondelez and Coca-Cola, Post Holdings, PepsiCo, General Mills, Nestle's U.S. arm, WK Kellogg, Mars, Kellanova and Conagra.

Current U.S. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Robert Califf has said that ultra-processed foods are likely addictive. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald Trump's pick to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has criticized the food industry and the FDA for failing to regulate it.

Martinez's lawsuit alleges that the food companies have long known their products are harmful and deliberately engineered them to be as addictive as possible. It argues that they are drawing from the same "cigarette playbook" as tobacco giants Philip Morris and R.J. Reynolds, which for a time owned the companies that became Kraft Heinz and Mondelez.

The lawsuit includes claims for conspiracy, negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation and unfair business practices. It seeks an unspecified amount of compensatory and punitive damages.

How about all these corporations with chemical products for your home? They are poisoning people left and right. All big corporations have to go and all owners and CEOs must be punished for what they have done too. All of them are a big family that’s why they are making money. I see it this way.

I'll say this again regarding the glowing adoration for the UnitedHealthcare shooter:

I believe the Healthcare Industry is on course for being overhauled in a big way. This event that's "captured the imagination"? Is necessary pre-suasion for setting the stage. It is resonating with the demographic (women) that are the most sensitive to healthcare changes.

This 'capturing of the imagination of the masses', is By Design. It always is. Hell, Americans didn't want to go to war with Nazi's pre-Pearl Harbor. The Patriot Act doesn't get passed without 9/11 (bonus: Anthrax) getting the public willing to sacrifice their privacy for security.

This is the start of a "war". And I find it very, very interesting the shooter's supposed manifesto is called "The Allopathic Complex and Its Consequences", 30 days before you have this man about to become head of the Department of Health & Human Services. The pro-Stem cells, pro-alternative medicines, pro-psychedelic movement has never stood on more solid footing than they do today, right now.

Here's the rule folks: "Follow the $$". The love of $$ really is the root of evil. Their unspoken motto is: profits over people.

The love of money is the root of “all kinds” of evil.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. ‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭

This comes up in many of the Bible studies I’m in, there are points made using specific words of the version of the Bible people are reading from, but if you go to a different version you get a different translation. The main idea is still there though.

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Depends on the translation - but don't get lost in the weeds fren.....I'll take "all evil" or "all kinds of evil". I really think the important word in 1 Tim 6:10 is "root".

1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV) "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

TBH most of those sugar cereals have been around for decades. I never bought them for my kid. Caveat Emptor.

However, deliberately making them addictive . . . I did not know. Sugar itself is desired by kids though.

Casey and Calley Means were on Tucker and Rogan and they were a huge wealth of knowledge on this subject. Calley was a lobbyist for food industry and she was a medical doctor. I just read her book (Good Energy) in 3 days I found it so interesting and I'm not science-y. But definitely into health now. Should check the podcasts out.

It’s not the sugar, it’s the high fructose corn syrup. Sugar is needed for humans to function, HFCS is not.

You'reright about HCFS, that it's worse than sugar.

But "sugar is needed" is not true: it's a lie supported by the medical mafia. The human body can and does produce all the glucose it needs without any outside sugar.

Sorry, I can’t agree with this. Sugar is more addictive than alcohol or drugs. It can literally make you high or hungover if you over indulge. I’ve changed my diet over the past year and still crave sugar. If you read ingredients in “healthy” foods especially geared to plant based protein for adults and especially kids there’s a lot of sugar. Sugar can alter small children’s brain growth. Sugar is also in carbs that you wouldn’t consider sweet. Humans survived for centuries without sugar. We need animal fats and animal protein. Animal fats have cholesterol (another brainwashing by gov that it’s bad). Our bodies make cholesterol naturally.

What is a babies first food? Basically fat and sugar. One reason why a lot of females are in poor health is because they’ve replaced normal sugars (cane, fruits, honey) with fake or altered sweeteners. I do believe some people are more sensitive to certain foods, but there is plenty of proof out there that humans need sugar to survive. We don’t need to suck it down through 3 cans of soda, but fruit and some cane sugar in your coffee or tea isn’t going to make you addicted. It’s the HFCS that’s triggering the brain to “need more”.

What’s crazy is that males can indeed function off low to no sugars, but it’s different for the female body since we have to store things differently for reproduction/ pregnancy / postpartum.

Biological chemistry, we all use glucose. Whereever its dervied, too much sugar is fattening. Sugar itself is addictive and its an eating disorder if you have that addiction. I wont look up if HFSC is actually more addictive than sugar, but its certainly cheap+in everything, so its a shitter additive definetly.

Basic biochemistry. Fructose enters the metabolic pathway after PFK-1 an enzyme that converts phospho glucose to Fructose. This is the slowest enzymatic reaction and thus the rate determining step in metabolizing sugar.

TL;DR. Fructose is metabolized faster leading to more consumption.

All I know is theres big starch carbohydrates and small sugar ones and that the big ones "burn" slower. I didnt know the speed ranking of the sugars but surely moderate big starches for long energy and moderate sugar for short energy is best. Fruity sugar or refined, a 3000 calorie/day diet will pork anyone but the fittest, biggest people.

And imo "basic biochemistry" is an oxymoron haha

Thankfully more new moms are breast feeding and skipping the formula and baby food. There’s an entire movement and social media has helped it. My daughter never feed baby any store bought baby food, formula or rice cereal. She had real food from about four months. She does get snack protein bars made from fruit and other plants but mostly real food. I’ll agree to disagree on we need sugar to survive. I’ve researched carnivore diet over the past year and it’s best for me. My main issue with sugar stems from the way I was raised. I grew up in the 70s. My mom said I’d dance for a Pepsi, had it in my bottle. We always had Pepsi and every processed food available. Other than my grandma cooking real food and eating at her house most evenings my diet consisted of junk, even frozen meals. It’s taken my entire life to figure out it was killing me. I don’t blame anyone, I’m an adult and should have realized sooner. However most of America still eats this way. Hopefully we will have a huge awakening concerning our diet in America.

One of my older relatives asked if we were going to feed our child rice cereal and we politely said the child was eating semi solids at that point and didn’t need it. We too chose to exclusively nurse until the child showed interest in the foods we were eating. We have always just given them a small portion of our food, skipping purées and “baby food” almost altogether. There is a positive in sharing parenting through social media in this season of life.

That’s great! I wish I had been better educated back then. In 1992 there wasn’t much information unless you knew health gurus or hippies. Thankfully my daughter was and is healthy. I breastfed six weeks until the milk dried. Then it was formula, rice cereal and then gerber baby food. At least it wasn’t as many toxins back then.

56 different names for sugar in processed food. Don’t be fooled by “healthy” labeled food. About ten years ago the latest lie was white can sugar was bad. Beet, raw, coconut, (sugar), maple syrup, agave, honey etc was good or better than white. Bottom line it’s all sugar. It’s addictive if you have addictive tendencies in your DNA. Addiction runs in families just like any other disease. Even artificial sweeteners can make you crave sugar. Of course honey is probably healthier than white sugar. Honey has healing benefits, even applied topically. Take a look at kids snacks and plant based protein bars, multiple sugars listed, in addition to bad seed oils. The food industry lies more professional thieves and con artists. Remember the big food companies are controlled by the cigarette industry when that industry took a hit. There’s good info and comments on this thread! Not preaching, I’m the last person to judge what you eat. I’m not perfect! I crave sugar daily and sometimes I fall off the wagon occasionally.
