What's up with Colorado? It was once a true freedom loving state. It must be the university system around Denver and the pro-marijuana agenda that brought in the libs.
I had the misfortune of living in Seattle for a while and knew many people there who would happily have voted for more taxes... but I'm not sure there are enough smooth brains even there to turn the whole state...
California got unlivable, and they started moving to Denver area in the mid 00s. Hippie kids from all over came into town as Denver was way more liveable.....Over time, more and more came, slowly changing the state into California Jr.
Clear your mind of the cognitive dissonance. It's not the voters.
These changes are all driven by the people who are brazen, flat-out liars. They only pretend to count the votes. Instead, they measure how the public perceives the results, and they measure what the public believes is plausible, and then go for it, publishing results that match their formulas. They push the famous Overton window and tilt it, so they can push it further each cycle.
The university and illegal aliens are there to backfill and support their narrative more than drive it.
If one decided to leave out Washington, then it would be first.
If all the dregs of society couod be drawn to one spot with bait of some kind, it would have already been done and all of the non dregs would be glad, not sad. But it isn't true anyway. Colorado is easily still one of the most majestic and beautiful states. If you live in the mountains and enjoy the outdoors, that is. But the msm cant make money on that. Outrage is engagement!
I disagree. There are big city problems there, like in Seattle. But because there are.way more great things about both cities that vastly outweigh the negatives, I feel like one has to be looking for things to complain about and focus on to describe an entire great american city and international destination a "shithole". I've seen incredible properties in and around Denver.
But yeah I've seen these things too. Just not overwhelming me I guess, because of all the good stuff thats in such abundance, is all I'm saying. Some folks are committed to seeing the dark and knowing all about it. But nice people and nice things are still around if you are looking to be fun in a very outdoorsy state. Fuck I love Colorado
"The banned weapons can still be made for military, law enforcement, prison guards, or armored vehicle personnel, but the average citizen will see major hurdles in getting around the law."
All you need to know if you were wondering what the purpose of this law was.
It is time for citizens to begin to exercise the original intent of the 2nd amendment. What is the original intent? Allow the Founding Fathers who crafted it to speak.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny from the government.
Thomas Jefferson
What are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom? Congress has no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American. (The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people).
Tenche Cox
No free man shall be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson
Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power, and jealousy will instantly inspire the inclination to resist the execution of a law which appears to them unjust and oppressive.
Thomas Jefferson
Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.
Thomas Paine
Experience has shown, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.
Thomas Jefferson
IN 1775, THE BRITISH DEMANDED WE SURRENDER OUR WEAPONS.....WE SHOT THEM. WHAT IS YOUR THERMOPYLAE, WHERE WILL YOU TAKE A STAND?
Pretty amazing to see what has happened to Colorado over the past 10 years! Other than Denver and Boulder, the state is conservative. Was it just the import of Californians that caused the shift?
Sounds like a repugnant infringement to me. Luckily for the free people of Colorado, their employees in government can't legislate their God given rights away, despite what they'd have you believe.
There’s something afoot…there is a push to take our guns happening all of a sudden with all these shootings. And I’m not talking about how theyve always been after our guns…the past week or two they’re really coming heavy. They want the guns gone. But why? Trump is in charge they can’t do anything if they do get our guns unless they’re thinking after Trump? They’re still looking that far into the future? They think they’re doing just fine and aren’t sweating anything the Trump admin is doing to them? Rhey really think these are just normal times? They think they’ll be back. Unless they have a plan cooked up that will get trump out of office sooner?🤔
Too late, I'm moving.
Nothing we can do until there's a national federal mandate to remove the mail in voting and require an ID.
Until then our votes are moot
Our best friends and next door neighbors are moving. Found out yesterday other great friends and neighbors are moving. We’ve been looking for awhile…and will likely be out of calirado soon. It’s sad and angering.
The all mail in vote did it. Hickenlooper won governor when ‘trunkfulls of ballots’ from Boulder county were found late on election evening as the republican incumbent had been willing until then.
Now gay dual citizen from California gov poleass is plungering the state down the shithole.
Add in horrendous taxes and fees and crap roads and all the other details others have pointed out. Worst state for crime. Etc etc
I'm in UK. We can have detachable magazines of any capacity we want. Silencers/moderators no problem either and in some places they are almost compulsory to combat noise pollution.
All sounds great? Not really. Getting a certificate to own firearms takes up to a year of compulsory membership of a police-licensed gun club, and the process of assessing your suitability/competence is devolved to the club. Also have to get signed off as "not crazy" by your physician.
Rimfire semi-auto is allowed but any centre-fire is bolt or slide action only. Oh and NO handguns under 24 inches long. Yes you read that right; pistols have "Buntline" style long barrels and a long piece of metal welded to the grip.
Colorado-who would have guessed they would be against guns-NOT ME! The gun "lobby" should have a lot to say about this. It seems these politicians only care about their agenda items and not what the people want. We need to change this; apparently in Colorado and in my state-MARYLAND! Also a few others but the list may be too long to...
George H.W. Bush was sworn in as president in Jan.1989 & construction on the unnecessary Denver International Airport (that displayed their evil intentions) started that fall. Denver, Colorado was, more than likely, the intended capital of the ds so there's a lot of evil to deal with in that state I'd imagine.
The bill defines a "specified semiautomatic firearm" as a semiautomatic rifle or semiautomatic shotgun with a detachable magazine or a gas-operated semiautomatic handgun with a detachable magazine. The bill excludes from the definition certain types of firearms and specified models of firearms.
The bill prohibits knowingly manufacturing, distributing, transferring, selling, or purchasing a specified semiautomatic firearm; except that a person may transfer a specified semiautomatic firearm to an heir, an individual residing in another state or a federally licensed firearm dealer. The bill exempts certain manufacture, transfer, sale, and purchase from the prohibition, including specified transactions involving law enforcement agencies and peace officers, the department of corrections, armored vehicle businesses, military forces, gunsmiths, educational programs, transfer that occurs by operation of law or because of the death of a person, and certain firearms for use solely as a prop for a film. Additionally, the prohibition does not apply to the transfer or sale of a specified semiautomatic firearm to, and receipt or purchase of a specified semiautomatic firearm by, a person who:
Completed a hunter education course certified by the division of parks and wildlife and, within 5 years before making the purchase, completed a basic firearms safety course;
Within 5 years before making the purchase, completed an extended firearms safety course; or
Completed an extended firearms safety course more than 5 years before making the purchase and completed a basic firearms safety course within 5 years before making the purchase.
Unlawful manufacture, distribution, transfer, sale, or purchase of a specified semiautomatic firearm is a class 2 misdemeanor; except that a second or subsequent offense is a class 6 felony. The department of revenue shall revoke the state firearms dealer permit of a dealer who unlawfully manufactures, distributes, transfers, sells, or purchases a specified semiautomatic firearm. The Colorado bureau of investigation shall deny the transfer of a firearm to a person who was convicted of misdemeanor unlawful manufacture, distribution, transfer, sale, or purchase of a specified semiautomatic firearm within 5 years prior to the transfer. A person convicted of felony unlawful manufacture, distribution, transfer, sale, or purchase of a specified semiautomatic firearm is prohibited from possessing a firearm or certain other weapons.
The bill sets the requirements for a basic firearms safety course and an extended firearms safety course. In order to enroll in a basic or extended firearms safety course, a person must hold a valid firearms safety course eligibility card (firearms course card) issued by a sheriff. The bill sets the requirements to be issued a firearms course card, which include completing a fingerprint-based criminal history record check to determine that the applicant satisfies the criteria to receive a firearms course card.
The bill requires the division of parks and wildlife (division) to develop and maintain a firearms training and safety course record system (system) that includes records of persons who hold a valid firearms course card and who have completed a hunter education course, a basic firearms safety course, or an extended firearms safety course. The system must allow the instructor of a basic or extended firearms safety course to request and receive information about whether a person holds a valid firearms course card, the instructor of a hunter education course or a basic or extended firearms safety course to electronically enter into the system information about each student who completes a course, and a federal firearms licensee to electronically request and receive information about whether a person has completed the courses necessary to purchase a specified semiautomatic firearm.
The bill makes the unlawful sale, transfer, or possession of a large-capacity magazine a class 1 misdemeanor.
Existing law prohibits possession of a dangerous weapon. The bill defines "rapid-fire device" and classifies rapid-fire devices as dangerous weapons under Colorado law. The bill repeals the definition of "machine gun conversion device" and removes machine gun conversion devices from the list of dangerous weapons.

It all started the year the implemented mail in voting
So Washington state was the start and it worked so well, it spread.
Yes. California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington are fully captured.
I had the misfortune of living in Seattle for a while and knew many people there who would happily have voted for more taxes... but I'm not sure there are enough smooth brains even there to turn the whole state...
Or if they do pass the government throw it out anyways. Like the protecting natural gas initiative.
sad

Just like Vermont, and the leftie hordes from NY and MA.

go to CO and you'll see the problem. Yes to both of your assumption plus no voter ID and millions of Mexicans
non libs smoke too.

That and cannabis is legal in most states now

Isn't anybody taking this flagrant violation to the SCOTUS?
Sounds like a repugnant infringement to me. Luckily for the free people of Colorado, their employees in government can't legislate their God given rights away, despite what they'd have you believe.
Blatant violation of the 2nd Amendment and multiple SCOTUS decisions.
It should be readily truck down, the issue is how long before it will be and the citizens are left without Constitutional rights.

Only restricts Law Abiding Citizens from owning them.
GRRRRRR why doesn't the GWP article link to the actual bill?
Here is the bill: https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb25-003
