Appointed to cardinal by Francis in 2023

The church is a captured entity, Vigano is the only man to save it.

Expect a major scandal/schism in the church soon.

When Leo brings Vigano back and makes him a key advisor or places him in a powerful position you will know which side Leo is on.

Amen.

Place Vigano as a key adviser. Reinstate Bishop Strickland. Will clearly show which side Leo is on.

May he be totally "begone Bergoglio" and the blasphemy instituted by Bergoglio.

May he follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For this we pray. AMEN

Could be the the first Pope that carries a Glock. He is now a head-of-state with diplomatic immunity after all. That would make assassination attempts like that one against Pope JP2 where a Turk shot him twice a lot more interesting by evening up the odds. I'd bet on someone from Chicago over a Turk.

I also bet Trump still carries. He did for years before becoming 45. NYPD suspended his license in 2023 and revoked it in 2024 after the felony convictions. I don't believe they can stop him as POTUS though.

So I'm not Catholic - excuse my ignorance on the names or terms.

First there were rumors of all those planes supposedly carrying gold from the Vatican to the USA. I can't remember the exact date though.

Then an American becomes the Camerlengo in 2019.

Trump sends a meme of himself as the Pope this week and freaks a bunch of people out.

Now an American becomes Pope.

There has been talk of CONgress assuming control of DC, citing the failure of local control.

That leaves the City of London. Who (Americans only) wants to move to London and try to unseat the Mayor?

That would complete the takeover of the New World Order - DC, Vatican City, and the City of London. Coincidence it can all happen under Trump?

The gold coming back from London to the US indicates the City of London bankers are at least cooperating with Trump agenda, but King Charles (owner of City of London, or at least the land it is on) is unusually submissive to Trump. It looks to me like something BIG happened behind the scenes, and it is possible that Trump is now actually the King of England/Scotland/UK somehow. (note the sword dance in Saudi that is typically only done for Kings).

Pope Leo XIV (born Robert Francis Prevost) OSA (born September 14, 1955) is an American-born Catholic prelate who has been head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State since May 8, 2025. He served as prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops and president of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America since 2023. He previously served as Bishop of Chiclayo in Peru from 2015 to 2023, becoming a citizen thereof in the process, and was prior general of the Order of Saint Augustine from 2001 to 2013. In 2015 Cardinal Prevost became a naturalized citizen of Peru as confirmed by Peru's National Civil Registry.[1] On May 8, 2025, he was elected pope, becoming the first American to hold the office.

He's been bumped up the ladder by Francis very recently, he has only been a cardinal bishop for about 3 months now, picked by ol Francis. Became a regular cardinal Sept 30, 2023 by Francis again.

They've already scrubbed his wiki page, but Francis was basically the reason he is where he is now.

You are assuming that Francis was alive on 30SEP2023 and was the one that actually did this. I give it 50/50 that his body double or someone else did it. I suspect Francis died somewhere in the 2021-2023 timeframe (private death).

In 2000, Prevost allowed Father James Ray, an Augustinian priest, to reside at St. John Stone Friary in Chicago. Ray had been suspended from public ministry since 1991 due to credible accusations of sexual abuse of minors. Although the priory was close to a Catholic elementary school, Prevost did not notify the school administration about Ray. The Augustinians noted that Ray was assigned a monitor while at St. John Stone. Ray was moved to a different residence in 2002 when the US Conference of Catholic Bishops adopted stricter rules for handling priests accused of abusing minors.[13][14][b]

In 2001, Prevost was elected to a six-year term as Prior General of the Augustinians. He was elected to a second six-year term in 2007. From 2013 to 2014, Prevost served as director of formation in the Convent of St. Augustine in Chicago, as well as first councilor and provincial vicar of the province of Our Mother of Good Counsel, which covers the midwestern United States.[12]

Really sounds like bad news to me!

I don't know for certain, but I suspect it's a symbolic thing to signify a change from their previous life to their new office. Up to this point, he was one among many, but now he is unique. It's complicated, but you could make a good argument from a Catholic perspective that becoming pope, the man has to make the ultimate self-sacrifice and totally lose his identity in order to assume the office and speak Ex Cathedra.

Could be wrong though.

Popes traditionally take on a new name upon election to symbolize a new beginning and their intended direction as the new leader of the Catholic Church. This tradition began in the 6th century when Pope John II, who was named Mercury, chose the name John II to avoid association with the pagan Roman god Mercury. Since then, it has become a symbolic act signifying a personal transformation and a fresh start for the new pope's mission. Here's a more detailed look at the reasons and history: Symbolic New Beginning: The new name represents a fresh start in the papacy, a clear departure from the previous pope's reign. Honoring Previous Popes or Saints: Often, popes choose names of previous popes or saints they admire and wish to emulate, demonstrating continuity or a specific direction. Indicating Intentions: The name chosen can also serve as a statement about the new pope's priorities or theological approach, signaling a desire for change or a commitment to a particular legacy. Humility and Commitment: Some argue that the tradition reflects humility, as the newly elected pope is stepping into a role that requires great dedication and service. Historical Roots: The practice of adopting a new name dates back to the 6th century with Pope John II, whose name was Mercury. Not a Strict Rule: While common, there's no written rule requiring popes to change their names, and some early popes kept their given names.

'Leo' looks like comms to me both historically and astronomically. Look at Leo XIII born 2MAR1810, in office 20FEB1878 –20JUL903 (25 years, 150 days); original name Gioacchino Vincenzo Raffaele Luigi Pecci: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Leo_XIII

French citizen of Italian ethnicity, later becoming a subject of the Papal States and finally an Italian citizen. Issued the encyclical Rerum novarum (1891), supporting Christian democracy against Communism. Third-longest reigning pope after Pius IX and John Paul II, excluding Peter. Promoted the rosary and scapular. Approved two new Marian scapulars; first pope to completely embrace the concept of Mary as a mediatrix. First pope to be filmed using motion picture camera (1898) and first pope with voice recorded. Oldest verified pope in office.

Leo XIII was very much a Pope of the common man. Popes usually take the name of a man they wish to model their Papacy after. We'll see.

In 1999, he was elected provincial prior of the Midwest Augustinians. A year into the role, he permitted a priest who sexually abused minors to live in a Chicago rectory half a block from a Catholic school, at the archdiocese’s request.

In 2014, Pope Francis named him apostolic administrator of the Chiclayo diocese, bringing him back to northwestern Peru. A year later, Prevost became bishop of the diocese that covers one of Peru’s biggest cities, as well as shantytowns and rural areas.

Individuals in the Chiclayo diocese would later accuse Prevost of failing in 2022 to open an investigation into their accusations of abuse against two priests. The diocese vigorously denied the claim when the cases made international headlines in 2024.

You are seeing America "take control" of the Vatican and most of the UK key industries on the same day (trade deal). Bad day for the globalists on May 8, the same date in 1945 that the globalist bankers based in City of London and Vatican City got their engineered warmongering terminated. Message delivered.

Ah, an easy miss read.

St. Malachy made the prophecy about the number of Popes in the 12th century.

Father Malachi Martin (1921-1999) was an exorcist, bestselling author, former aide to Pope St. John XXIII, and a onetime professor at the Vatican's Pontifical Biblical Institute.

permalink parent save report block reply

– Rainspa 3 points 38 days ago +3 / -0

That would be St. Malachy of the 12th century.

Francis never fit the bill as a "Peter the Roman", not his name, and he's not from Rome.

While interesting, I don't know if I would place much credence in it.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– truthloveliberty 2 points 38 days ago +2 / -0

The prophecy suggests that the 112th pope, “Peter the Roman,” would be the last, presiding over the Church during a time of great tribulation, culminating in the destruction of Rome and the Last Judgment. Many interpreters have associated Pope Francis, who became the 112th pope in 2013, with this final figure, citing his Italian heritage (his parents were Italian immigrants to Argentina) and his chosen name, Francis, which connects to Saint Francis of Assisi, whose father was named Pietro (Italian for Peter).

Is he a Jesuit?

According to public records at least no. He was and I suppose still is technically a member of the Augustinian order.

His only connection to the Jesuits is he was named a Cardinal by Francis. Which in of itself isn’t necessarily mean any affiliation with Francis or the Jesuits. As the position of Cardinal is as much a political one as it is religious.

So there could be any number of reasons why Francis would name him Cardinal beyond any secret affiliation or conspiracy.

No, he's an Augustinian, not a Jesuit....

Augustinians are members of several religious orders that follow the Rule of Saint Augustine, written in about 400 AD by Augustine of Hippo. There are two distinct types of Augustinians in Catholic religious orders dating back to the 12th–13th centuries

He is Augustinian.

Prevost previously criticized President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance through his posts on Twitter. He also expressed sympathy for George Floyd after his murder in 2020.[47]

I know you're copy-pasting, but George Floyd wasn't murdered. We should stop perpetuating the lie.

I’m happy! I hope he’s a conservative Catholic and will be an ally of Trump to straighten this world out some.
