I can DM you easy construction plans for troughs planters I described in a separate comment fren. Allow me time to get home and use my compy and will delineate very simple construction plans cheaply.
Trees take much time. Also, I recommend even if buying tall saplings already bearing fruit that you cage them. The world will eat them before you, wildlife especially
Years ago there was "The Beverly Hills Diet". It was all fruit with major emphasis on the high enzyme pineapple and papaya. Having been so used to papaya from living on Oahu as a kid, I thought it would be a pleasant diet. For 3 months I was in fruit eating heaven and I felt so fantastic! Nothing but fruit carbs.
What they don’t tell you is these were hospitals supervised patients with 400-700 calories per day and low salt (too low) however the premise is still solid and meat was reintroduced after a few weeks because protein is essential. They kept the fat really low and the body burned its own fat. So no deficiency. At some point fat would have been added or nutritional deficiencies would occur.
I lived on a calorie deficit diet of 2000 cals per day. Picked nutrient dense foods. Lost 40 lbs in about 3 months. Worked out every day after my 12 hour shifts. Then I went to long last and protein dense diet eggs and nuts with white rice and butter 2xs a week. I got ripped amd have kept most of tjelat weight off for the past 12 years. It worked for me but I think I found my personal formula. Not sure it would work on anyone else. I still fadt min 14 hours and and and usually longer. Looks like my last 20 years bill a least be able to move around.
Ignore the downdoots. I too only intake 2-3k calories a day, one meal a day. I drink tons of tea, coffee, water, light beer, and about 2 7up daily to supplement for sweating while working all day in my 40s.
No major health issues other than severe nerve damage gastric caused from medical malpractice (they destroyed my pancreas and esophagus while doing a routine hernia repair of 8cm).
You know what works for you! If you would like garden box construction plans I can give you fren, but it wil be a few weeks. Im trapped in Latvia until the end of the month nearly.
I did this 20+ years ago. I does work. I lost nearly a pound a day with walking. It doesn’t say about the no salt part. And no caffeine. I learned how important salt was in history from this. The lack of salt made it hard to really focus and do things like math in my head. And I finally convinced the doctor that you really do get hungry again at 9pm on the diet. If we got sugar at all, it was a little pack at breakfast. Personally I usually went for the wild rice.
Too true. But it is naturally in vegetables and other foods like eggs. Just not very much. I realized how important it was in the old days. Timbuktu was extremely important and wealthy because of salt. It also had a version of the Alexandria scrolls.
I've tried the Carnivoemre diet and the Keto diet along with a job that makes me walk about 7-8 miles a day. Yet for some reason I've hit a wall on weight loss. 185 seems to be where my body wants it to be, but I'd think if I could get another five pounds off the love handles and pot belly would diminish. Perplexing how once your body finds it's sweet spot it will not react to any further stimulation. Grrrrrr
It still blows my mind that when I Google "list of class 1 carcinogens" and find processed meat is on that list, along with cigarettes, heavy metals, etc.
Just bought the Kindle edition of The Rice Diet report. I'm in the A group meaning I'd like t lose about 10 lbs. My whole life I had low blood pressure and now it's borderline. I am not heavy by any means but the last 10 lbs I gained while going through a rough time, is what I think is responsible. We'll see.
Thanks so much for the link to the article!
Thanks for the heads up!
As I did more reading, I saw that this diet has also helped and/or cured arthritis! My doc said I have severe arthritis in my lumbar area which causes excruciating pain. A lot of the time I'm bedridden so praying this diet can help with that as well!!!
So excited to start the diet!
To this note: when I get back to the states the remaining two seasons Im building traditional NE Euro garden planter troughs by the dozens.
You can grow about just anything using raised wooden elongated planters designed in 45 degree angels and constructed out of hardwood.
I already did this for flowers, succulents, and peppers and tomatoes. From now on, all of my non climbing vine veggies are going in these bad boys.
Save space, no grub problems with zuc/squash/etc, and if you're lucky you can make morel and chantrelle havens if you're in the right climate zone or have a green house (which I do, and they are stupid easy to construct cheaply).
We shouldn't have to eat freakish, unpleasant, or starvation diets to maintain our weight. Before our food supply was extremely compromised (with genetically modified seeds, livestock pumped full of hormones, seed oils and corn syrup in all kind of foods, etc.), most people could eat whatever they wanted and easily stay thin to normal weight.
I grew up in the 1970s and almost everyone I knew was thin or normal weight without a struggle, and our diets were far from "healthy" or limited. White bread, Twinkies, Oreos were staples in most homes. Yes, there were some people going to Weight Watchers, but even most of them were trying to lose 5 to 10 pounds, not 50 to 100.
Did you know you don't have to grow rice in water. They do it to control weeds and pests.
I did. We do it in simple garden beds in the Baltics. How do you think Russia produces so much rice in "inclimate condtions". /s
Truth but didn't want to offend the good u/SirBudLight
Of course he knows this. 🍻
Did you know to make Rice Beer, you absolutely need water. FYI.
Kek! Of course the water of life requires water of life!
Much akin to making good liquor. You need water to ferment the grains. 🍻 my fren!

If you are doing anything that requires muscle regeneration then you will want more protein.
A good read that touches on this is:
"Two Wheels Through Terror"
It is the story of a Veteran who was headed to Patagonia on a small motorcycle and was taken captive by the ELN in Columbia or Brazil.
Them kept him on a diet composes almost wholly of white rice supplemented by the occasional egg.
They had him for months moving him around the mountainous jungle from camp to camp.
did he turn out ok? I don't have much of an appetite, but I still love eggs & rice. would be great to have such a simple diet.

Noted.
I just thought the book a good real world example.
And good read to inspire perseverance.

You sound fat.
Keto and IF works great
Fat, protein and training will get you there.

About keto & fasting: nah, they make you feel invigorated. That's my experience, anyway.
Keto and IF were things the old pre steroid era body builders did.
Vince Grinoda. 5 days carnivore 2 days you can eat carbs. It’s what I am doing currently to detox my organs
... And don't forget the sea salt with plenty of water!
Ditto on keto & fasting. Invigorating.

By Mark KULANSKY. He is a BEST SELLING and MSM accepted author. He used to be a PLAYRIGHT after COLLEGE. He's also a JOURNALIST.
Fantastic book. I learned a LOT, including about Maldon salt and Fleur de Sel. Game changer.
Cool, I will check it out.
