I think that they're basically taking the fact that Israel has captured Israeli politicans so much, that they're intentionally overplaying it. They're overplaying it so hard that they're making it impossible to ignore.

I don't think Israel has an adequate plan for overplaying their hand with propaganda and having it blow up in their face. They're too used to the propaganda working. They'll likely dig in their heels and make optics worse for themselves the entire process.

The thing is, so many people who say "Israel is an evil country that must be stopped" don't believe the Bible and that Israel WILL be protected by God, and all those who go against it are doomed. They say things like "modern Israel was just created to give the illusion that God is responsible for it happening" without realizing that God uses humans to fulfill His plans. It's almost like someone saying "Jesus just fooled people into thinking He was the Messiah by doing magic tricks and then staged His resurrection".
