I think it's because activity has dropped off sharply in the past year. Visits to the site are only a fraction of what they used to be, and that can be confirmed with any analytics service. Or you can just go back and look at posts from a couple years ago and compare them to posts today.
I'm not sure if it's just my account and it's just a glitch, but I can no longer click on the "top" category up there with "Hot, New, Rising, Top". Before, I was able to click on "Top" and then "This month" or "All Time" and it would show the posts with the most activity. If you can still do that, it's a real eye opener to how much activity has cooled off here. I think it's the reverse of the frog in a pot of boiling water. It's a frog in an ice cube tray and it's just a long slow process of less and less activity, so gradual most people don't notice it.
Even just a year or so ago, it was common to have dozens of posts each day with upwards of a hundred comments on it.
Now, I think we're lucky to get 5 or so in a week.
So I think the mods are much more tolerant of off topic/low effort/low quality posts because otherwise, there would be hardly any interaction here. I guess crap is better than nothing. 🤷♀️
That being said, there still are some people out there putting up quality content and I'm thankful that they are and appreciate the time and effort they take in doing something other than reposting whatever crap they last saw in their X feed with no care in the world if its true or even relevant to the board. It's like people think they have some sort of post quota they have to fill and it doesn't matter what they post as long as it's something and they'll repost any old thing to fill that quota.

PDW was “found out” by Reddit, BlueSky, Threads, etc. It got worse over the spring/summer even before Charlie, with the Middle East peace deals and all that. They have proven methods which I’ve seen happen live 2/3 years ago, where they take a post and they can artificially upvote it. They tried it with a pro tranny post that got over 3500 votes “to show PDW supports trans rights” and they had to take it down. Everyone was complaining..so expect some shenanigans over there like that, in the future when things heat up.

The problem is that we have succeeded. Obamacare is dead. Cancer is cured. Illegal immigration is over (which lowers housing costs and raises wages). Energy costs are going down. The endless wars are over. Bureaucracies and NGO's are being gutted. Government spending (net) and control is going down.
We might even get a permanent government shutdown in February (which works this time because they passed spending for the military and tariffs can fund the essential programs) which will result in a reset of all the government agencies with AI.
What we probably aren't going to get is Justice for all the corruption. Q is right that the military is the only way, but unless there is an open civil war the military has no jurisdiction over citizens. Trump can't prosecute everyone in the Government. . .
So yeah we win, but it feels like exhaustion and we are going to have to step up and rebuild our nation. We are in a prevent defense right now.
