So today I ran into a former work colleague. She was one of the first on the Trump Train back in 2015. 100% Maga, bled red white and blue. I haven't seen her for a few years but saw on FB that she voted for Potus in 24. Ran into her shopping and she was so black pilled, I didn't recognize her. He promised no new wars, he promised the Epstein files, he promised lower prices and everything is going up due to this cursed war. This, that and the other. It's like she expected the man to do miracles.
I was actually so surprised by her attitude, I could scarcely think. To me, he's done an amazing job. I keep hearing the left saying that there are 'a lot of people' who voted for Trump and regret it. I didn't believe it because I never met one, until today. I never could have believed she would turn on him. I was about to point out the good things he has done when her husband came over and pulled her away.
It got me to thinking, I want to make a list and keep it with me at all times in case something like this happens again. I don't want to be so flummoxed I can't think straight. What would you have said to her? Please list some of the great things you believe Trump has done. And if you know of anybody keeping track on line, please let me know. (Like Magapill back in the day, only current.) Thanks, frens.
These people I call FOX normies. They're essentially the same as the left with how they think. But with the FOX normies it's "I watch FOX and the 5 so I know what's going on! If I don't believe something I just Google it for the answer!". They voted for Trump in 24 and they're very surface thinkers and weak minded. They look at headlines written by people who have agendas to push. FOX is no different from CNN. Frankly, FOX is CNN with American flags and country music but they do have some decent people unlike CNN. They say things like "Trump stated this damn war for no reason and now my gas prices are going up and Iran was not a threat to us". It's an argument easily countered in 50 different cogent ways but they (like the left) don't want to hear it. Are they MAGA? No, not at all. Are they Conservative or left? They're Conservative when it's convenient but they're left of center. They're reactionary to headlines but don't dig deeper past that bold print. I know people like this. Do they hate the dems? When it convenient for them. Will they vote for say a dem over a Republican? I would bet they already have. A lot of them voted for Obama mostly but not "Biden". If another charismatic dem pulled up against a Republican they definitely would vote the cult of personality because they don't think past the smile.
Very well explained, Bed! I think you nailed it.
FOX News exists in the same neighborhood of New York City where ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC dwell. They're all alike.
I have said this about Fox for ages. It's the "concern troll" method. Those who are pro-Trump (Jesse and Greg in particular) walk up to the line of truth-telling, but it's in the back of their minds they could be on the street if they go too far. Everyone else is 100 percent about "the narrative," which is somewhat different from the other news outlets, but still divisive, and never particularly insightful.
This is my wife. She will not follow alt news and won't believe it unless lamestreem new puts it out. I will say with the events of the last month she is coming around. There is hope for some.

This guy just said the exact same three things... As are many others in lockstep.

Tell your friend to re-find her own critical thinking.

Maybe she saw that interview! And I believe we have to be concerned about both. The liars are bad, but so are those who believe everything without proof and we've got plenty of them right here, despite Q's constant reminders to question and research. Thanks.

I'm sorry that happened to your friend...wonder if she's been brainwashed by her husband?
Here you are gobby!
365 WINS IN 365 DAYS: President Trump’s Return Marks New Era of Success, Prosperity

Thanks, J1D. And I wondered the exact same thing about her hubby! I don't believe (can't believe) that she would vote democrat in the midterms, but this was the very first time I actually wondered ... ARE there that many people who are unhappy with him? We still have months to go and a lot is happening, so I'm hoping and praying he will make his mark in time and we'll see the house and senate stay red and maybe even gain some, what with the redistricting. Thanks, fren.
I don't think there are...the MSM is trying to convince the public of that. If anything, I believe his popularity is growing...
Yeah, his polls are good, and he has support on Iran. Also, voter registration has been favoring repubs for a while. I was just so gobsmacked by her 180 degree turn around, it had me worried for a minute there. Especially if Iran got drawn out for months and months, which I don't believe will happen. They've lost so much in weaponry, organization, leadership, they don't have much to fight back with.
I agree dear fren..
We must stay out of the weeds! Details often do not matter. These are just the stories of the day. Find the bedrock argument. In this case it is the auto-pilot, she must turn it off.
Some of the negativity is the result of the one major failure I have seen in The Plan from day one.
Trump and the whitehats needed to silence the lying media, and here it is 2026 and they are still producing a stream of lies to control the narrative and brainwash the sheeple.
Yup. Nail, meet head.
It's not all roses. My kid's 21 and he's pissed at the conservative movement in general. He likes Nick Fuentes and feels like Trump 2.0 isn't helping young people much. He's not ready to vote Democrat but he's indifferent about the midterms right now. He voted straight red in 2024.
It is happening. Keeping a list is a good idea
Unfortunately, I know of so many people that voted for TRUMP and are having regrets. I keep trying to inform them things are going as planned but I have been told I sound like a broken record. They are saying the same thing the OP's friend is saying, war, Epstein, prices are still high, no secure voting, no prosecutions and now gas prices are way up again. Getting hard to defend it in a way. They are not wrong, but I keep telling them to have faith, it is going to work out!
He's done so much, but he hasn't done 'enough' apparently. But as jcab93 pointed out, what would things be like if Kamala won?
I would start with this "cursed war," best thing Trump has ever done, kek. He is the reason Epstein was in prison, number two. Tariffs are bringing America back, BIGLY. So what if oil prices fluctuate for a few days. Your acquaintance is listening to the wrong people. Tell them to turn off Tuck the Cuck or whatever inflooencer they are suckling at the teat of.
Yes, you're right. He HAS done so many great things. That's why I was so surprised and frustrated.
Trump takes a 30,000 ft. view of everything he does - i.e., 5-D chess. He's thinking 10 steps ahead with regard to Iran, for instance. This scourge of a regime has been killing and abusing its own citizens for 47 years with an eye to taking out the rest of the world. It may take a few weeks to take them out, but the positive effect of the action will last for many years. Prices will go down. Re: the Epstein files, people are resigning all over the place after being named in them and children are being rescued daily. Look around... It may be happening partly in the background right now, but it's happening. Have a little trust in a man who has never lied to us.
I agree. He is always thinking what's best for the US long term and he's thinking in ways most of us can't even comprehend. I can't believe she is unaware of this. I have to pray she comes back around. I can not imagine her voting for a democrat, ever.
Ya right.
Tell them go ahead and vote DEMONrat they will fix the problem.
People are so damn stupid.
I agree with her point of view, the only thing keeping me going is the Israel for last drops, but if you didn’t know about what was in q posts, it looks like Trump sold out to Israel and the war monger military industrial complex and Iraq is going to be his Afghanistan, and Netanyahu is getting exactly what he wants, meanwhile gas is up, stocks are down, an we are heading into the midterms and his base is getting smaller like it or not… him supporting rinos makes no sense and he was elected as the peace candidate but a lot of waring lately, if the end justifies the means then I support it but we are in th trust me bro we got this phase but when Lindsey Graham is cheering him on I worry he has lost the plot.
I would just like to add that these people need to consider what their life would look like if Trump HADNT won. Is he perfect? Nope. But until you're willing to look someone in the eyes and say that you'd rather roll the dice with Kamala in charge, you don't regret shit.
That's an excellent point! Thanks.
Iran declared was on the US a long time ago. Trump signed legislation that made sure ALL of the Epstein Files were released, even the ones that a judge was refusing to release from the Maxwell trials had to be released. Trump did deliver on lower prices, does she not remember Biden. Trump has made many deals that will bring manufacturing (and jobs!) back to the US.
If your former colleague can’t acknowledge that all of this has taken place, just say to yourself, “I’m not the dvmbfvck whisperer”. Ok, seriously that’s up to you, but I no longer waste my time with close minded people. NCSWIC.
Lol. Yeah, it's just sad because she was so pro Trump. I hope she comes to her senses. Thanks, BR.
Technically speaking we’ve been in several undeclared states of War he inherited for decades. Iran is one of those.
Most people don’t acknowledge them as wars. Partly Because they don’t fit the traditional depiction of war of bombs flying and devastated cities. And partly their Television/Podcast of choice didn’t tell them they were actually wars.
Part of the issue is people want him to rule domestically like a King. Quick and Decisive brokering no dissent from the other branches or layers of Government. Not to mention private companies. While still somehow respecting the Markets, Legal Traditions, Separation of Powers, States Rights, the Bill of Rights etc.
Meanwhile in foreign affairs. The President and Executive Branch have far more legal freedom to pursue decisive actions. Free of meddling by both Congress, State, and Local Government. And the other branches of Government.
Essentially many people in the U.S. want all the benefits of more direct Authoritarian Rule Domestically. Ala quick, direct, and decisive action. After decades of incompetence and decline under the management of the current prevailing system. While still also simultaneously wanting all the benefits of decentralized Republicanism/Democracy. Like we were raised to believe in. And none of the drawbacks of either.
That however is not how real life works
No it isn't and you've made great points. Thanks.
As soon as I saw "she" it all made sense.
Honestly only posting my experience because I too, have a Trump supporter, who is currently going off the black pilled deep end, because of "gas prices, and little girls being blown up".
I think a big part of it, is the deep-state and MSM tactic, of keeping everyone with a short mental, and emotional memory, is working very well on a lot of people.
This is honestly the first time people have truly felt some "pain" from this administration, and I don't just mean fringe groups or outliers, gas prices affect everyone, it's why they've been used to control people before.
You can give them all the info you want, but all they can see in their mind is "Yeah, but what about right now????" And whining that right now is difficult, and how could things be difficult under Trump??
Personally? I believe it's a "wait it out" type of thing, where for the same reason, once Trump is doing good, and gas prices going back down, you'll see some "black pilled" people, are just fine now.
Wow, so I’m not buying this story
I still like the deregulation(s).
Remember he acknowledged that the few thousand he may have lost will return.
Yes, let's hope and pray.
Okay - first off it's been 1 year and less than 3 months. In that time trump has done the following:
He did all that in 15 months, and that's what I could come up with in like 5 minutes. Name one other president who did as much both domestically and internationally in the first year of a second term.
I agree! Thank you for the list. He's done that and so much more. Maybe she was just having an off day. I'd like to think her dooming will be short lived. I do know a lot of people complain that he's not 'doing enough' for the US, but in my opinion, all the things he's doing abroad do have an affect on us here. Thanks for your list, fren.
Start with patience Prudence. First: Trump is not starting a war, he is ending a 47 year forever war. It will be finished real soon. Trump is bringing peace and prosperity to the Middle East. Second: The Epstein files have to be dripped out at a rate that the public can absorb. Too quick and the impact will be lost. Also, the timing of the player take downs has to spread out. Third: gasoline prices are very temporary and due to risk aversion moves. All the real users don’t operate in the spot market. They lock in their costs months ahead of time. Oil will drop like a rock within a month or two. There’s no oil shortage, just some of it is bottled up for a little while. And most of that oil goes to China and other Asian countries.
As for the economy: first prices. They have been coming down slowly. Supply and demand. As the illegals are removed and fraud money is removed from the demand side, the prices will continue to come down.
Second: There is a major injection into the economy from tax breaks, foreign investment, domestic investment, and deregulation that is going to make the economy boom.
2026 is going to be a wild, but fun ride.
Great comment. Thanks.
I would have said, "Oh, so you're vaccinated now?"
That's another thing! She was very against them.
Faith vs reason, when faith an expectations don't match this is the predictable outcome.............
shallow thinkers snd shallow support. Ask whonshe would rather have instead of trump. I met three people st breakfast who all just jumped on tje train since venezuala.
I'm glad to hear that. And I turned a very TDS addled rlf just recently and I can tell you, THAT took some doing. Years, in fact. I was so chuffed about that and thinking, if I can get him, there is hope for the rest of them. And then this happened! It really brought me down, but thankfully, my frens here are straightening me out.
This is noteworthy because she's the only one.
