Sometimes, they just want time in your presence. Simple things like cuddling and bedtime stories will be remembered when they're older. :-) Taking 15 minutes to lay down with her and cuddle her to sleep can build that bond or working together to put away toys or straightening her room are things you can do right before bed that don't take long but if done consistently are things that build memories that she will look back on fondly.

If you schedule set times for some activites (calming ones of course), it will be something you can both look forward to and at the same time, creates boundaries/expectations and a set routine. My daughter and grandchild live with me now (thanks to Bidenomics) and we have a schedule on the wall for him to look at and know what is coming next - whether it's time for chores, homework, dinner, bath and bedtime. We found that he thrives when knows what the set routine is. The routine is suspended on the weekends, allowing time for spontaneous walks, bike rides or other random activities.

Nope. My money is on Tim Scott. He is gearing up for the optics... he just got engaged. KEK

I have been looking at homes for sale in my area for a while since finding out the estimated value of my home increase more than $250K since I built it 10 years ago. I though I could grab that quarter of a million and live mortgage free.

The "comps" nearby (which cost that $250K more than my build price) are worn and dated in need of much remodeling to bring them to the standards I have in my home. Anyone getting into the housing market these days is a fool.

Clicked on Hannity last night to see if he would report on the latest about the Fibbies receiving criminal info from 40+ confidential sources about the Biden crime family. (Just to see if any MSM would report on it). That was going to be the big story according to his intro and guess what happened... yep, breaking news about a shooter. But there's no such thing as a FF, right?

Sadly, those who vote based on immutable characteristics would vote for Harris because she is a 'black' woman. And those same voters are the same that helped steal the last election.

Abramovic as ambassador for schools coupled with the resurfacing of the Clinton Foundation with their 'CGI Ukraine Action Network' and the already well known child trafficking problems in Ukraine is a recipe for disaster for kids in that country.

My stomach fell into my shoes hearing these things. We are going to hell in a handbasket fast.

You can tell who the front-runner is in a debate by who the others attack. Guarantee they won't be attacking anyone in the debate stage. KEK

Yeah, the numbers they are touting are in comparison to the worst ones of this residents term. So yeah, inflation is dropping as compared to what he did, but overall, they still suck.

"They" were all for his story a decade ago. Now it's QAnon nonsense?

I wasn't necessarily commenting on an impeachment vote. I was making note that, as usual, the narrative is always steered away from all things detrimental to the left. In the entire Anderson Cooper hour nothing at all was talked about except for the lost submarine while news about the whistleblowers testimonies were not addressed at all. Same on all the MSM, except surprisingly Fox.

Of course they didn't cover this. Nor did they cover the IRS whistleblowers. Not one word. I clicked around to all the MSM channels between 8p to shortly after 9p to see what wad being reported and it was all sub, all the time (which as we all know, was definitely saved as a distraction since the Navy heard the implosion over the weekend and they weren't allowed to publicize).

Sadly, the higher population counties are so blue that a Republican will never win here. She took red Sussex county easily, was close in Kent County (Dover populous overruled the rest of the county), but good ole New Castle County with the Wilmington and the largest population overrode any gains in the southern parts of the state.

We still fight the good fight down here though.

Out of curiosity, I channel surfed MSM last night to see what would be reported. Surprise, surprise... all anyone was talking about was Trump' s indictment.

So Elon, being the tech guru that he is, was unable to broadcast a simple audio conference call? Mmm, okay. That was not because of server overload. KEK

Fox is about to learn what FAFO means. Anticipate ratings plunging to CNN levels fast.

Yeah, turned 58 1/2 this year. Pulled my money out, paid off my house, saved some. Left a little in and still contribute because I'm not giving up the employer match. LOL. But I lost over $20K this year and no one can afford that $#!%

There were really no changes. No new meds for either of them. They were old school and didn't do flu vaccinations or anything. They lived in the country away from power lines/cell towers, etc. They ate fresh foods from their garden and had well water vs city water with chemicals. Looking back, I can recall forgetfulness early on that we treated as normal (hell, I can't remember words sometimes myself). The forgetfulness resulted in comical conversations such as, "You know, that guy that was in that movie..." kind of things. Mom's decline was longer but her ultimate demise ended up being a crappy doctor that she saw for 20 years who misdiagnosed AFIB early on. By the time I took charge of her care and made her change doctors, it was too late. Hence my advice to attend doctors appointments with them. They'd forget to ask questions and were from a generation that took the doctors advice as gospel. There would be no getting better for mom, just sustaining. Which she did for a long time.

You didn't say how old you're parents are. I know dementia can set in quickly from watching my 70yo dad. That included asshole tendencies, including what basically resembled temper tantrums and progressively got worse and physically dangerous.

My mom went more slowly. I remember a Thanksgiving about 15 years ago where she took several dishes that we put together the night before and put them in the oven without removing the plastic wrap. There was no such thing as covid or the vax when they started to decline. Ultimately, I brought her home with me to live out the end of her days and to watch over her. She made it to 84 before her heart finally said enough.

With tthat said, watch them closely, go to doctors visits with them and bring up these changes. And my prayers go out to you.
