Yes
Unfortunately. People are too busy to care, and for many parents the public school is just free daycare (perhaps with free food).
Every so often the parents might get riled up over one issue or another, and then someone gets voted in or out, but mostly it's non-involvement.
Will not happen
Electors in the electoral college can only vote for one candidate from their own state. Since Trump and DeSantis are both Florida residents, that would mean one of them wouldn't get Florida's electoral votes.
Naturally, there will be (at least I hope) a legal challenge to Biden's ridiculous, authoritarian power grab
I wouldn't hold my breath. Who's going to go to court and demand that the college students pay their debts? That sounds like political suicide to me. It's much easier to just let taxpayers take the hit and blame it on Brandon.
