About time. On February 9th days before the shady antics with the grid in Texas, Sally Talberg was made head of the board of Ercot. She was not born and raised in Texas. She doesn't even live in Texas. Of the 15 member board, 5 don't live in Texas. One is a Canadian. How was this acceptable to put them in charge of the Texas power grid?
Sally Talberg is an appointee of former rino Michigan guv Rick Snyder. It was a set up. The Texas grid could have handled the extra power demand, but several plants cut off their power for three days claiming "pipes were frozen". Ercot refused to fire up the coal plants because of "federal emissions" while people froze to death. Now the Left is screaming "SEE? SEE! TEXAS CAN'T RUN IT'S POWER GRID. IT NEEDS TO CONNECT TO THE FEDERAL GRID. COZ THE FEDS WILL RUN IT RIGHT" ( right into the ground).

This is not the first time they have been hit with weather like this. New Years day 1979, San Antonio was at -5 F. The coldest that San Antonio got this time was 13 F.

Scaling for population growth, how has the resulting suffering/loss of life, due to the bad weather, compared this winter vs. the storm in 1979? That's probably be good data to refute their claims.
I don't think that the storm in 1979 was that much of a problem. But I was in Basic Training at the time so my access to news was limited. What I do remember was a bunch of dead pigeons around the barracks. They were unused to that sort of cold and froze to death.
I'm from Phoenix Arizona. I thought, San Antonio, that's desert, I should be fine. Wrong. I froze my ass off. I had no idea!
