Finally an accurate title and post. I've probably seen a dozen articles about this today but all of them miss the fact that he's retaining his status as Special Counsel.

I have been around since they moved over to .win but I feel many people there promote unrealistic goals even in the face of mounting evidence before it happens. For instance someone like Robert Barnes viewpoint on Pence a month before Jan 6th said Pence is not a strong person and would never send back a certified vote even though there is historical precedence that he can do so. TD could not accept that view point even though Barnes has unique access to Trump's inner circle and has been an advisor to Trump's lawyers.

October, 2016 was the first FISA warrant and I am sure some stuff lead up to the FISA warrant that is also part of the investigation so assuming things started in August, 2016 we still have five or six months for charges to be filed unless there is something they are going after earlier than that. Been following Adam Housley and he says there is some big names being investigated on both sides of the aisle from multiple sources.

I get that he's still special counsel, but he severed his ties to the department and lost a way to act and pursue the prosecutions once he's done with his investigation. He can basically write a report, or not, then fade off into the sunset since his ties to the DOJ have been preemptively cut.
